Really interesting Gameplay well done
Fun and hilarious game! Love the simple mechanics and I had a blast playing. Well done!
haha such a fun game! arrived with an empty cart first, but managed to deliver the hammer and anvil the second (the last part was tricky though). it's dumb in the best way, good job!
I wish the game was a little shorter, its a lot to handle for that length of time. Everything works as intended and the loop is fun. Enjoyed it!
that was a cute game haha! A bit tough to get the hang of it, so maybe have the number of object increasing overtime would be cool! great job, such an original concept!
That was actually pretty cool. The witch was unexpected and I lost all my deliveries!
Had a lot of fun with this! As my first attempt ended I thought 'That was some goofy fun' but when I saw the information about all the items I'd lost I knew I'd be trying plenty more times. Great example of a jam done well :) Only feedback is that it would be nice if the cursor change to show if you were actually hovering over an item, or if the 'hitboxes' were a tiny bit more lenient.
The idea of having to balance objects onto a car is really cool. While the controls are very simple (in theory at least) the game as a whole is rather hard. Still had a fun time playing it though. Oh and the comments at the end of the game are also funny.
OMG this game is amazing! hahaha THE WORLD JUST TURN UPSIDE DOWN! anyway, i delivered the anvil. Thank you for the great work here haha. Audio in a nice volume, controls easy to manage and a very nice simple UI. FUN!
Really liked the idea, the physics were bonkers, but I had a lot of fun. Nice work!
Man this game is hard! Was very satisfying when I was able to grab the hammer after it flew across the screen then used it to get the box back too though. Loved the text at the end, had a few good laughs at some of it. Was very impressed that it acknowledged I had the anvil, but not the hammer. Also a fan of the music/art too. I'd maybe suggest reducing the length of it. I would have replayed to see all the comments but with how hard it is, I think it's a bit too long to see all the comments (e.g. one time I got really close to the end with the orb but then the potion destroyed it so I didn't see any new comments that time)
Simple, but delightfully chaotic! Halfway through I was thinking "wow, I must be great at this, delivering more than three items is going to be easy!" then I promptly lost just about everything. Really well done!
@adamlenglen Thank you! Hope you had fun!
@ravernt Thanks for playing! Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
@bartalomew Thank you for taking your time to play my game and for commenting!
@partysquadmember Thanks! One run lasts for about 1 minute, but since it is quite hard I can see that it can be discouraging to try it multiple times to find all endings.
@myre Thanks for playing and for the feedback! The original idea had mechanic for grabbing more items and delivering some of the on the way, but I had not much strength during this LD so I scrapped it...
@ludumdarevd6xh Thanks for playing! Hope you had a good time!
@jamieok Great feedback! Hitboxes should be more forgiving for sure :) Happy to hear you try to get different endings. Did you manage to fine any of the hidden ones?
@creeepsy Thank you for playing and for your comment. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
@sevla Thank you, I'm happy to hear you like it! I really wanted to do the barrel roll (full 360 degrees), but I decided it will be way too much to handle for the player. What I used is already really hard :)
@trakina Thanks! I had a hard time to make Godot to do what I wanted. It really does not like drab and drop mechanic for rigid bodies XD
@dan-allison Thank you for the feedback and for playing! The run is not that long, it is a bit over a minute, but I can see that it can be tedious if someone tries to see all openings. So I probably should post all endings somewhere, with spoiler warning, so people can see them, if the want to, and do not want to "grind" the game :)
@tetrapteryx Thanks! At this point I think I have some sort of a "twist" in almost all of my games. This time quite literally a twist XD
@zimny11 That's my bad then, guess it just feels longer when dealing with the stress of keeping the last item in and watching the distance tick down haha. Will no doubt get a few more sessions in over the course of the ratings to see more of it anyway.
@dan-allison No worries! I guess, player losing track of time while playing is a good thing (in terms of game engagement) :D
This is fantastic! Oh man am I lucky there were no other drivers on the road, I was merciless out there. I can't exactly explain it, but this game makes me think of the old Kings Quest games, the medieval magical vibe, the fun texts at the end, bright colours, fun, and just gives you a happy feeling in your stomach.
I played this for much longer than you could imagine, I thoroughly enjoyed it! This game really.. Delivers!
Marvelous work with this one, I really enjoyed it haha and that full twist upside-down, something about the game loop is so wonderful too and the sound, very well done! I wish you had more time to work on this, perhaps after ludum? It's a really jolly concept.
@belle Thank you for your kinds words! I'm happy to hear you had a good time. I need to check out what game you are taking about :)
@svenerik Thanks for taking your time to play my game and for commenting! Sadly the time was not an issue, by my mental strength left after work :/ So I'm even more happy that people are liking it!
On my first successful attempt, I managed to deliver the pink box and the anvil. At least I managed to make someone happy for 5 minutes, I thought.
On my second successful(?) attempt, I brought a single potion and killed a bunny. Nobody cared about the potion and I brought about the end of humanity. Oops.
On my third successful attempt, the only survivor was the yellow box. I was really excited to finally see what was inside.
I ragequit afterwards.
In all seriousness, this was really well made! It was extremely hard, but not impossible so (except perhaps the second witch encounter - that one usually was just a run ender), and the little messages at the end were a really awesome idea that added a ton of replay value. As others have said though, the hitboxes felt a bit too small and each run slightly too long (since it took me multiple attempts to have anything survive to the end), but otherwise, great entry!
@frogman Glad to hear you found it interesting enough to try it multiple times :) Of course nobody cared about potions! Have you seen how fast Witch can spawn them? The whole market is flooded with this crap! XD As for the witches, you can get rid of them, they are prone to the same thing as any human, a good smack to the head ;) Also you can use the anvil to block potions, since it is immune to them, and you can also try to grab potions and throw them out of the way. Yeah...sorry about the hitboxes, I really should have used separate, larger hitboxes, not just collision shapes, my bad! Thanks for playing!
Thanks for submitting your game on the stream! Really great game idea, and loads of variety! Congrats on getting it entered, awesome entry!
Here’s the stream if you wanted to re-watch initial thoughts (timestamps in the description to jump to your game!) [youtube link](youtu.be/7zAPBeiWuqA)
@lomby Thanks for checking my game and for the feedback!
(Insert zoidberg voice from futurama) Delivery successful, but the deliverables didn't make it...
I managed to deliver one... anvil.
This was a neat experience, I would love to know what the best result someone has managed to get it as it is quite challanging. One thing that would be super cool is if you added an endless mode where you have 3 lives (- 1 life each time an item gets lost). Would be fun to see who gets the furthest
Loved the visual style of the game, great job overall!
@simon-rahnasto Thank you for feedback and for playing my game! That is an interesting idea! My record is 4 goods delivered, but since I'm a creator of the game I'm not sure if that counts :D I know of one more person who delivered 3 goods in one run. One more time thanks!
Nice and simple. Really enjoyed art style and music - wasn't anything too flashy, but everything fit with the overall style just fine. Could have been good to maybe have the music's tempo change when you lose more items or are reaching the end of the level. Controls worked perfectly. For the future you could also probably have some sort of upgradable cart if you are willing to work furthter on this game. Overall, nice job :D
That is a really unique mechanic, and I enjoyed immensely! Simple idea, doesn't need much more than that! Reminds me of QWOP and other games like that because of it's intended "wonkiness". Congrats!
This is hard. The world rotation was a surprisingly fun obstacle. Whoever can carry more than 3 to the end deserves a cookie. The summary screen made it worth replaying. Well done.
@partysquadmember That some nice feedback, thanks! I was thinking about different cart shapes, but I had no strength to make them during LD, but in general I would like to have an upgrade mechanic to the cart. Thank you for playing!
@elflashor Thank you for playing my game and for commenting. Happy to hear you liked it!
@pincushion I'm glad you like the barrel roll :D So far two people would get a cookie (that incudes me). Happy to hear that ending text made it worth trying again :)
The overhead part was really tricky :D I'd have loved to pick up the rabbit! Items could get a little hove effect (modulate is easiest) if mouse is at the right position to grab them. I really had fun with this, love the silly physics and giving a thorough ending screen gives my effort so much more meaning than a score.
@rongo-matane Thank you for take time to try my game :) That is a cool idea! I guess I still need to learn to think in terms of user readability and responsiveness (or whatever it is called XD). Thanks for playing!
Nice job! I like physics, graphics and awesome endgame screen. Congratulations!
Hey this game is so cool! But is it possible to deliver everythings? The effect of witch potions is maybe a bit hard to understand on the first run. The end screen is so funny, well done!
Haha very fun game! The cart rolling upside down got me laughing out loud. And it was nice getting feedback at the end of the game, made me want to give it another try. Some objects are definitely more difficult than others. On my second attempt I lost everything BUT I got a broom. These people are never happy :D
I think it was very well executed, and all in all looks very polished! The visuals are nice, the rabbit is cute, everything is clear, and the music really adds something!
Great game!
@torte478 Thanks! Hope you had fun playing it!
@maximeg No, there is no way to get everything in one go. My best was 4 items. Thanks for playing!
@rolly Yea, that is the idea, pretty much all endings are bad XD Thank you for your kind words and for playing!
This is a fun idea, and I like the simplicity of it. Immediately easy to understand. Giving the objects different physics behavior and different backstories for why they were in the cart added enough complexity to make it interesting.
Definitely a difficult game but I get the impression that was intended. Maybe give a little more time to players to recover objects that fall off before they are lost?
Really solid entry, nicely done!
@jordantanner Thank you for playing and for commenting! I was thinking about giving player more time after each event, but if player would be down to like 1-2 items, which is not uncommon, just doing nothing for some time might be boring. But it is surely something to consider.
Fun and funny! I also really like the graphics!
@linus-lindberg Thanks! Hope you had fun :)
