How to play? dont see any links on itch
Seems the download link is not properly set up on itch?
@d-demetori @xgn yup, i'm having issues with the uploading, please come back later :D
How to play? οΌππ
@antarktis i'll write here when the build is online, sorry :(
@antarktis @d-demetori @xgn the build is online. Thank you for your patience.
Currently unable to start the game. Fatal Error: Failed to load mono.
@r4ndomthunder Emm I believe your Unity is not packaged/exported correctly. It says "Failed to load mono" here and does not start... I do not use Unity but usually there is a "MonoBleedingEdge" thing that seems to be missing here?
ouch
@xgn @rhewid @antarktis and everyone else, build updated!
Saving progress would be nice, also why would you place X to quit a game without confirmation, after viewing collection you want to close it with an X and just quit the game... Art is nice as well as animations, but needs more QOL features (save all, sell all)
@d-demetori working rn on QoL until the end of the jam, so all feedbacks are appreciated.
It's a fun game, but the cross on the top left has sent me out more than once.
@skeler sorry about that, it'll be removed in the next build
I like the idea, but I don't like the fact that the game thinks I've already lost before I've even sold the cards I've drawn. Additionally, if I click on the buy button more than 2 seconds apart, the cards won't stack and will be replaced. This makes the gameplay very uncomfortable
@mrv will be fixed on the next build, thanks for the feedbacks :D
It's a lot of interactive fun, with plenty of memes and card trivia.
I wont repeat any of the critiques here as it seems like you're already burning through them and making quality of life improvements / bug fixes left and right. What I will say is the team packed a ton in here and it didn't just phone it in. I feel like I could become full invested in amassing a huge collection without going broke -> any plans to polish it up after the jam?
@threeli We are figuring it out if we wanna make a post-jam version with more cards and re-implementing some of the features of the initial idea. For sure if so I'll keep everyone updated.
Really like the art style of the cards and how they're presented to the player As others have mentioned, I also accidentally pressed the exit button without meaning to. The gameplay does get a bit repetitive after a while, it would help if you could speed it up somehow. Also it would be cool if cards that you haven't seen before play a small sound effect and are highlighted a bit to show a bit of excitement of seeing something new. The music is nice but it is a bit jarring when it starts looping again, it would be nicer if the loop was seamless so it doesn't get tiring.
Great presentation. Cute music. The cards are interesting and they look great.
I felt that I had too little agency. There weren't decisions to make. I would buy the pack, keep the ones I don't have, sell the rest and repeat. Whether I won or lost entirely depends on which cards I'm dealt.
It's a great game to get that gambling itch scratched.
I really liked the art! Really well done
I'm not sure if there's better strategy then just saving all the cards, and sell the rest? Maybe sell the most expensive ones so you have money for more packs? I guess some more developed gameplay would be nice, unless I missed something
Still, it fit well with the theme, well done!
10 years play this game, still have no addiction (local MTG meme)
It certainly emulates that feeling of joy/misery you get when opening the undesirables, or getting that special edition card. It has a nice feeling to it in general, the art and music were very pleasant:) I was going to stop at 100 packs opened, but hit 84 and I guess I was selling too fast- the Buy button remained greyed-out. Awesome job, fellas! Great entry, and kudos to the around-the-clock bug fixes! Cheers!
Really nice music, graphics are funny and looks nice. Gameplay starts off well but ends up being quite repeititve, as you get the same common cards over and over again and once in a while getting a rare. no real strategy other than keeping what you need and selling everything you already have. but since the quality is generally high i assume this is due to lack of time. Overall pretty cool though!
Thank u for a web version, it's much easier this way
Had a lot of fun with this one. Got pretty repetative 10 minutes in but would love to see a full fledged version of this!!!
I love the concept. I did open 100 packs and im missing i think 40+ cards so ill try to see if i can get at least one per artwork xd music did get in my head after some packs but i keep going!
Simple but fun! The card feedback and visuals are really nice, and the music fits perfectly too. Congrats!
Super satisfying game and I love that the cards move like in Balatro. I also love the art style and card variety. I think the game does get slight repetitive once I started doing the "Buy -> Select All -> Save -> Sell" loop because that seems like the most optimal way to play.
Nevertheless great job with this unique concept!
This game has a special kind of magic β it keeps you playing and makes you constantly curious about what cards might come next. Itβs truly fascinating. The card effects are excellent, and the animations and feedback are really well done. I really hope to see a full version someday β this game has amazing potential.
I didn't understand at first, but then I realized
The scene is extremely interesting! The art is excellent!
Very aesthetically pleasing! And the music is satisfying too. Wish I had a bit more agency/challenge, but it was nice just to enjoy the pleasing wave background, the lovely foil/polychrome shaders, the nice wobble to the cards, the subtle layered shadows - crazy amount of life and polish for a jamgame. Well done all!
very unrealistic, I'm not instantly losing by opening nothing of value in the first 4 packs!
but for real, really nice visuals, great references, congrats!
honestly I am not sure what to think about this :) Interesting and quite litteral take on the theme, but maybe I am missing the point? I like the balatro refference and really great job done on the visuals and how polished the whole game feels! But to enjoy this bit more I would need I guess bit more. First couple of pack was interesting to open, but the pace felt maybe bit too slow and after few minutes I was not really motivated to click and wait if I get anything new. Also when I get new card, there was basically nothing satisfying on that, and I think that this kind of game would need that. But Thin might be just me as I am not a card collector or anything like that :) Nevertheless the technical side of the game is really great! Good job
Heh, it's cool, a funny interesting game, but to be honest, I've seen a lot of these, so I guess this game didn't really surprise me, but overall it's a cool game.
Cool game! Loved the effects on the cards, shiny!
can't say specifically why I like this game, but I definitely do! It's a nice, simple game that feeds the collector's mind, and it looks good too. What more could one want?
Balatro balatro balatro, nothing to use the cards for, but there is a collection. It all feels like balatro. Someone likes balatro. but this isn't balatro. opened 100 packs. took forever. discovered 17/60 i'm out. I'm sorry, that's just ridiculously difficult to maintain the buy->select all-> save -> sell -> buy -> select all -> save loop left. 2025-10-11 22_44_14-Unpacker_ The TCG Collector Simulator by R4ndomThunder, memel06, Darkonius Mavak.png ridiculous.
