I learned how a funicular works haha! So, what follows are just a few suggestions. The concept and the old tech theme are good!
- Objective: It's not clear. Is the goal just to get a high score? I stopped playing at 50 passengers to see how you lose. It's cool in a jam when you can actually finish a game! Tip: you could add a "You Win" screen and then a button that says "Continue" to keep going for a high score.
- Game balance: I feel like the funds don't go down enough? I'm not sure.
- Funicular balance: Sometimes, a 1:1 weight ratio goes crazy, and sometimes it doesn't. What exactly are the rules? How is it calculated? I'm curious!
- Passenger selection: When you click on overlapping passengers, they all get selected. You made this with Godot, right? I suppose you use an Area2D for each passenger? Maybe a button to add passengers one by one would be better? I'm not sure.
- Music: cool.
- Funicular: juicy, I liked how it moves.
All that aside, this is a very good first submission! Nice one, you produced something!!! I almost quit this jam because of sickness lol.

Really nicely done! I feel so bad every time the cable cars crash into the ground. :( It would be cool to have a brake button and build the gameplay around how smoothly you can get your passengers to their destination. Great concept!

Congrats on your first Compo!
It’s fun, but it needs a clearer goal for me.
P.S. Please add full screen button

Very well done! Love the concept and I think the mechanic is perfect for a game jam and you nailed the theme. I echo the other feedback in that I think a progress bar towards the final goal of $X or something indicating if you are moving towards the fail state is the first thing that is missing.
Really like the SFX you used and it just feels really nice to play and enjoy this little world, lots of nice touches that make it feel fun and a little cozy. Thanks for making!

Really nice setting. The silhouettes in the foreground, the vines, vents in the background. It has a lot of character.
The gameplay's simple and well done. I enjoyed seeing the carts move. When it works, yay me, but when it doesn't, it's so funny to see the passengers launched outside the game window.
Also congratulations on your first compo. I think it's a huge success.

Congratulation on your first compo submission! and a good one too! I'm guessing the aim is to get the highest score possible? I liked the mechanics of the funicular. It feels like it's almost throwing the passengers out when the ride is completed 😆
Well done on completing a game for the compo! I really liked the scenery you drew with the funicular and the plants on the walls and such. I just kinda chilled and watched the little dog things walk around for a while before I realized what I was supposed to do. I'm ashamed to say I crashed some of the poor souls but once I got the hang of operating the funicular I think I could have sustained for a long time. I quit with 80 passengers transported. I really enjoyed the subtle music and the sound effects were great.

The art must have taken AGES! I really liked this game, and the funicular itself felt really juicy. I would like to know how the passenger spawning works though. I played the game for maybe ten minutes and eventually the passengers stopped coming. Was that intentional?

I love the idea that the customers who get impatient are stealing a bunch of money and then running away as opposed to just leaving.
It was not obvious to me that the game had a win condition. I was right about to give up when the win screen suddenly appeared at around $1000:
win screen
If I leave the game open after reaching that screen it eventually triggers a game over as well :P
