I like this concept. It would fit quite well with LD43 theme "sacrifices must be made" too. Now i understand why peaople say these themes are similiar. Also grat graphics!

This is a great execution of the theme, it fits perfectly. The idea of sacrificing specific organs, not just a bit of health is very interesting and you implemented it in a great way. Sadly, attacking feels a bit strange, it was not clear to me, when I hit the enemy and when they hit me, so I couldn't tell why in one run, I died in the first room and in another I managed to get much further. I think, a really satisfying over the top attack would fit quite well, since we're sacrificing ourselves for it
All in all, great job!
Theme was TOTALLY NAILED
maybe it's not the most polished entry of this LD44, but at the moment is the game that fits the theme the most.
Gameplay was fun and the balancing was ok.
I enjoyed it, with no struggles in usability or controls.
@derpylz Thank you for feedback . I will try to change the attack but I'm not sure I will do it better but anyway Thanks a lot!
Love the pixel art and the way the sacrifices work. I would advice against losing the eyes.
Cool idea. This would benefit from more enemies/arenas if you decide to carry on working on it. The combat felt satisfying enough, the pixel art was good, and you definitely got the theme.
The use of the theme was nicely done. Graphics were great to look at, but that music was not enjoyable. At least I was able to sacrifice my ears...
@splicedev Yeah ...Sorry for that. I made a button "M" to mute it without sacrificeing ears. Thank you for feedback
I started with the brain. Don't sacrifice the brain.
It's a lot of fun. The art and animations are really nice. I had a hard time with the combat. I couldn't make it past a centaur.
Don't fool yourself. Behind the simple graphic lies a formidable and exciting experience. To win the game you really need to be careful and focused. The sacrifices match the theme perfectly. Bravo!
I realy liked this game please do more of this kind ps. pleas install a exit buton i could not get it to stop propperly
That was very nice! Combat system could be improved but your concept is great.
I liked the fact that walls disappear fade out when you move behind it when you could have made it a collider. It's a small thing but that's the kind of stuff that contributes to get the "well-polished" feeling.
Great work!
Good game, good graphics, and nice concept. Regarding the theme, it deviates from using life as a currency but it nails the concept of sacrificing life for game time. What else can I say, but I love this game overall, great job. Congrats!
@thilo Yup. I added it. Just press [Esc].Thanks for feedback!
Fun game! Loved the idea of having a cursed sword that requires organs to work! Maybe a twist on the idea could be that it requires blood, either your own (HP) or enemies?
First run, I sacrificed ears. Then brain. Mistake. Brain was needed.
Second run, I just tried to figure out what each of the sacrifices did. Eyes and brain felt like the only two things that I shouldn't sacrifice. Maybe eyes CAN be sacrificed if you learn the layout of the level though, which is pretty interesting!
The limited time you get after a sacrifice added a factor of challenge. I tried to min-max my way through the first "level" to try to complete it in the shortest time.
Attacking was a bit strange at first, but only took me 1 run to realize how it works.
3rd run, I died to the boss. Expected, I guess. Learned its attack pattern though, and a decent path to reach the boss room.
4th run, demolished the boss to win the game.
I still don't know how sacrificing other things affected the gameplay O.o
Was a fun game, loved it!
@gcttirth Thanks a lot for feedback. I didn't expect someone play my game more then 1 time. Thanks for such a great feedback!
@victorcrafty WHAAAT! That is just amazing! The game saying something along the lines of "... Or did you?" at the end left me a bit... confused, but it didn't give me a strong enough hint to retry the game without sacrificing anything. After seeing that true ending, I really wish the game would have hinted at that in some way. If it did, I totally missed it :D
Now if you will excuse me, gonna go get the true ending and then update the score :D
@victorcrafty ok I tried it 4-5 times, but the demon isn't going down the hole O.o The idea is to force him to use his weapon while he is standing on the same spot right? no other tricks?
@gcttirth Yup. The idea is that he must stay on the 3 tile from right. I think you are right. Now I'm adding more hints for true ending
Cool! You have nailed the theme. I really enjoyed the fact that sacrifices change how you see the world etc. And I liked the sound effects. Really nice!
Really great game, but could do with some more information about what each body part does when you sacrifice it, as some of them seemed to not do anything.
@ogelgames The most organs just lower your life timer (Example: with heart player can live only 10 seconds). But there are 5 special: Brain - player can't move Lungs - It starts a annoying sound Eyes - Player can't see Ears - Player can't hear Nerves - Player can't see himself and GUI (a representation that he can't feel)
Thank you for feedback
great job on the art man , keep it up man you got a lot of potential :)
Ah, so that's where those sounds came from... :D
The controls are a bit difficult and the sacrificing scared me the first time it came up. But 10/10 for the effort. Good job
Really well done! First time I sacrificed my eyes I wasn't expecting it to go dark. Really well executed idea!
the sacrifice made the character go invisible
@zlabya yup. When you scrifice nerves player can’t see himself and GUI (a representation that he can’t feel). When player sacrifice an organ something happens, the most of times just life timer is getting lower
Thanks for feedback. I hope you had fun playing it
I didn't get very far in, but I loved the concept. Well done!
Quite a cool game. Though I didn't see it myself, it's pretty awesome that you managed to sneak a second ending into the game. I love when a game manages to fit polished elements like that in. I think the game could use a little more feedback when taking or dealing damage. It was just a little difficult to notice when damage was being dealt.
Had fun with this one, good job!
@vinay-rao I added a camera shake and sound (I think it's better then nothing). Go and check itch.io link if you want . Also I revised fight system . Apparently i put wrong coordonates and it was harder to hit.
Anyway thanks a lot for feedback. It helps improving my game
Hah, that's so great - there was so many areas and things in here, amazing work and I kinda want to see it expanded! I'm going to be making that sword sound all day. Shhwwweew!
Very nice way to use the theme!
Deciding which aspect of your life to sacrifice works really well. Excellent premise, and it creates an interesting melancholy mood. I also enjoyed trying to avoid using the sword altogether. A++ would sacrifice my organs again.
It was interesting to see what effects sacrificing certain body parts would have! Nice interpretation of the theme!
The idea is a really good one. Sacrificing specific organs, and a different effect happens depending on which organ you sacrificed, is a really cool idea. But it's executed poorly. Sacrificing nerves makes you invisible? Unplayable.
The sound design is also very annoying.
Not gonna lie, I'm not a big fan of the art. However, this is a very smart use of the theme, and I quickly forgot the graphics since the game is very well made and clever! Interesting entry, good job!
Roaaarrrr... That took me by surprise
A very strategic and calculating game you made there. The art is really good and I like the little touches like if you sacrifice your ears then the sound is muted, or your eyes and then the screen minus the HUD disappears. For those, that are curious, sacrificing your lungs is a very bad thing  Mighty fine job! Congrats on completing the Compo!
@finn-truman Yeah. It was made for humor. But I predicted that someone will dislike the sounds so i added that player can sacrifice the ears so he will not hear anything. Thank you for feedback!
Love the sounds!
Probably the most amazing and theme-oriented mechanics in this jam! I found the game quite scary at times thou xD
I liked it very lot, it's beautiful and fun.
Nice game, i liked the fit with the theme. Idk if that's a bug but when you sacrifice "Nerves" your character becomes invisible, or is it supposed to be that way?
Hahahaha the things it lets you sacrifice are hilarious
Cool concept, this is the best use of the theme I have seen so fare.
Those sound effects hahahaha amazing!!!! good game
I like the retro graphics and sounds good job guys. The concept is really fun and the theme is well respected.
Pretty clever. It took me a bit to get use to but I really liked the idea that you had to sacrifice your senses (and some choice organs) to fight. The art was really on point. Very distinct.
Thanks for hanging out on the stream, as well! Here's the [link to the stream](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/422835552?t=01h45m35s). Your game should start around [01:45:35].
