That is different! A kind of a stats game. You have a lot going on and a lot to discover. I am afraid I don't have the timespan to invest in this. And that is kind of bad since it looks promissing to collect all them stars and name them and get in the hall of fame for collecting the most interesting stars.
It reminds me of "OPUS: The Day We Found Earth". The gameplay completeness is astonishing as a Compo!
I don't know if I should call it a bug, planets can now be collected repeatedly lol QQ20251006-211900.png
At the same time, I am an astronomy enthusiast in some sense, and this somewhat slow operation and the lack of any music and sound effects feel very much like using real stargazing software.

Thanks akuta for your comment. I remender know I forget to check if planet is already collected before take a pic π
A very original idea for a collection game. I liked how fully featured the interface was and the drawings of the planets were neat. Clearly a lot of thought went into the different filters and star classes. A promising start :)
I love the idea! Took me a second to figure out what to do, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun!
Can tell a lot of effort went into this, very unique take on the theme with a cool mechanic. I could see this expanded into an actual casual, chill game that I would pay money for.
Cool interface :) I would love som sfx for this!

This game brings my real-life dream to life! I love the huge variety of planets and filters in this game.

I think the controls for moving left and right are reversed. Otherwise, it's a very good game.

@baluj Itβs because of the mirror trick ;)

The theme "collector" fits perfectly with exploring the galaxy and gathering the right planets. The UI feels complete and polished, and the controls give a nice sense of realism. Well done! πβ¨
The UI's great. It put me right in the star fleet seat, analyzing the stars. It's great when I change the filter and find what I'm looking for. Switching between glossary and filter tabs was a little tedious though.
I like the planets, their variety and the reveal that comes with taking the picture. Nice that you can name them too. Pretty neat.

- It takes time getting used to the reverse LR controls
Quality of life improvement : - Having a "pinned" notes of what I am looking for. - Easy mode, where in the notes, there are the colors for each filter (the expert will know the colors for each element). On the other end of the scale, having a "mini game" for the different parameters, like having multiple instruments for different parameters. You could have - an oscilloscope where a radio signal would appear, and you would match it, or turn knobs to filter it and it would give you an answer. - absorption bands could help know the atmosphere / or the sun - Other frequency could help you guess the mass

I myself **[collect GitHub entries](https://github.com/stars/dhmmasson/lists/ludum-dare-58)**: So it's super nice to see you have used GitHub during the development process of the game (18 nice commits). I have started **collecting entries** backed up by GitHub! I have also collected a few tricks to make the repos shinier across my Ludum Dare participations
---
Repo name and Description
You can update the repository name (I always name my repo ldXX and I rename when I have found a name for my game) without breaking links (GitHub redirects old names to new ones), and add a description for inclusion in the list ( still redirect to my repository)
Readme and Badges
Include the link to your ldjam entry in the Readme. I also have created badges that you can use to decorate your README:
``` Ludum Dare Ludum Dare 58 - Compo Ludum Dare 58 - Jam Ludum Dare 58 - Extra ```
Screenshot 2025-10-06 at 08.35.40.png
Topics
Consider using these **topics** on your github description to make your Ludum Dare entry more discoverable: - `game` - `game-development` - `ludum-dare` - `ludumdare` - `ludumdare58` - `ludum-dare-58` - `ld58`
Cover Art
You can also use your cover art for the ```Social preview``` image in the repository ```Settings```
Stars
I have starred and added your repository to a list of ld58 compo:
Also, **I am on a quest collect 10 stars** but on my repository (I am up to 7 now!) You have already visited my repository (hi voisin from Pau) If you haven't, you may consider [adding a new star to my collection](https://github.com/dhmmasson/tilesCollector) as well.)
Cool idea which matches the theme well.
The idea is actually very interesting, but it's not fully realized. I'm the type of player who enjoys exploration, and that's what this game gave me. However, I don't feel any fun or enjoyment from exploring in this game. Perhaps it would have been better if I'd gotten some useful information about this planet. For example, that it's habitable, or that the atmosphere there is so thick it would crush a car. Basically, some interesting fact. I understand that the game was made in 48 hours, but I'd like to see more interesting things about space and distant planets. The game has room for improvement, so I wish you luck!
The idea is original and you can tell that there is a lot of work behind... but I don't have the patience for these kind of games ^^U Congrats for the originality though!
Cool concept, I especially like the style of the UI.
Don't know why the planets on my screen only show inside the lens and on the left, maybe because of the size of my screen (2k).
@n1evsky I'm sorry if you don't have fun. I made it from scratch without any game engine so I've worked as much as I could to add features. I would like to add more but don't have enought time. :) @petitlu I think first level is smaller than your screen. Have you try normal or hard mode, levels are a bit bigger. It could works better.
@vikfx yes you're right! It's only an issue the first level.
Wow. I'd need to have a notebook in front of me to make a honest go at this game. This is some simple but deep gameplay. I like the concept. This is a great simulation game.
