nice! love the art and sound lol. the "nope" got me XD
loved the music and art style, they worked very well together, especially the subtle scanlines, great work!
Got out with 21 gold! I'm rich!!!! >.< Good game! See you in October?
Really great work on the music and the mood. Definitely felt like I had to run back through a few times to try to improve my grab. I love goooooooold! Congrats on finishing!
For a simple as the concept seemed, you really nailed it. The simple art worked out really well, everything was super clear and the level design was really solid for a 48 hour jam. I definitely went through a few times to see how much gold I could grab, and I enjoyed every run. I wouldn't have minded some coyote time on the jumps, but that's not a must-have for platformers to be fun. Well done!
Art style is cure. My eyes stocked whe i've seen it. I wish levels wood be longer, cause i wood play more. Are you going to make random generation of map? It makes game much more bettr
Very impressive submission!
The atmosphere is sinister and the mechanics are simple within a very complicated game loop.
It was a bit hard on me (especially the jumping), but other than that it's one of the most "complete" package games I got to try out this jam.
Well done!!
Really nice level design. Lots of hints, falling past goodies where I can use the restart button and try to get them. Nailed the look. It reminds me of C64 games.
- Solid mechanic of having 2 kind of terrain to dig with two kind of tools - Ambiance is solid, dark but not grim - The rogue-like aspects of missing stuff and not being able to get back without replaying adds a certain level of "frustration" / "one more game!"
Very nice entry !
Little, but solid game
This was really charming! I really liked the twist of a platformer where the goal is to fall down the holes. The 8 bit aesthetic was really well done, and the level design was great. It really made me think hard about if/when I wanted to use my stockpile of supplies.
Also, as a fellow Microfreak owner, I'm always happy to see it get some love :D Nice job!
Much to like in this little game. Everything felt very complete, and the sounds and music went together so nicely. At first I thought the way the levels would advance without me 'completing' one was a bug, but I suspect that it was intentional. I wanted to retry the immediately previous/higher level, but that feeling always seemed to kick in just a moment or two too late. My best run on yielded 6 of 21 gold. Very nice entry!
Did you start out with the design choice of just two tools and terrain types? What things were you planning that didn't make the cut due to scope?
Very fun! I enjoyed getting to the bottom and finally getting all the possible gold! Game felt very polished and well-made, the sound effects were humorous too! :)
Very slick intro and flow, I like how it's kinda puzzle too
I loved the artwork, animations and overall style!
I thought the goal was to go as deep as possible, so I was saving my tools for any blockage  Then I reached the end with 5 gold and understood that it's a puzzle game :D Then it reminded me of DoS era puzzle games, which I love. Green fluid (acid?) not killing me was a surprise. Very nice art, sfx and levels
very enjoyable game  , i don't know if the idea is to make a puzzle game but it's an interesting concept, the need to manage the tools to solve puzzles, get gold and advance to the next stage. For the feedback, not sure how could be the result of course but it would be nice to see more blocks on the screen, maybe changing camera's orthographic size, that way you see more of the level and know where you are gonna land or what treasures you can get
Oh this was fun! The graphics are simple but the scanlines really elevate them, otherwise the game for sure would look bland, so it's a nice touch. The audio is subtle but fits the vibe really well. The puzzle aspect at the end was a surprise so I had to go back and collect all the gold haha, but I do wish there was an easier way to reset the whole game without having to refresh the page - missing a whole level cause I just fell through the gaps felt kinda bad, but I do appreciate having the really quick reset per level if you catch yourself just before falling through. Overall solid entry, I always love coming across complete-feeling games in these.

The game is really charming, the low-res graphics and small screen make it cozy, though the music is sinister. Since the screen is small it makes it hard to see where you're going, it's easy to fall to the next stage when you don't want to, so you have to replay the game a couple of times to memorize the level to collect all the gold. Of course, that's by design. Anyway, really well done, good job!
Well done for getting this done for compo! It feels very complete - with an enjoyable game loop.
Likewise, I agree that the scan lines make the game look very charming!
I think the level design here is really good. I started out thinking getting all 21 would be impossible but it's actually not that difficult at all if you're careful and quick on the "restart" key.
I'd prefer it if that first long jump were a _little_ bit shorter, though. I couldn't make it reliably, which meant if I made a mistake in a later level I was punished by being made to re-try that one jump over and over again.
Oh wow, that audio is simply amazing. It does so much to set the mood. I think the jump sound is even someone saying "up!" but it also totally works just as a sound, which is just an example of the vibe in the details here. I felt like I wanted a tiny pitter-patter of the feet since I was enjoying the movement animation, but maybe I'm wrong and that wouldn't be tastefully minimalist like the rest of everything here.
That moody vibe from the graphics and audio coming together was really nice.
The gameplay was also simple but man that feeling when you fall down one level too many, and the R button just mocks you. Loved to hate it, and laugh at myself.
What a nice little package here, rich with pleasing details. Well done!
Kinda reminds me of Magic Tower with the resource-management elements; it works really well in a platformer setting. Love the graphics and audio.
Unfortunately I only got 8 gold XD
