This card-trading game fits the theme well. The rules are clearly explained, and even though the gameplay feels a little unintuitive at first, it becomes easy and fun once you get the hang of it. The music sets a nice mood, and the card animations with the dealing sound effects are a lovely touch—they really bring the game to life! Well done!

I get an index out of bounds from Godot.
@mdotedot That's too bad. I'll look out for it. Thanks for letting me know.
@nekowei Thanks for the great feedback!

I'm sorry, but I personally hate card games, anyway i liked art and card shuffle sound (kind of asmr for me), but music and mistake sounds break my ears every time(

Difficult to understand initially, but fun to play and like the SFX. Nicely done!
@d-omino Thanks for playing despite not liking card games :) Sorry about your ears. Hopefully you noticed the volume sliders (in the lower right corner, for future players)
@brandsma I was worried about that (especially as I was writing the "How to play?" overlay). Glad that you got it after all. Appreciate the feedback.
I thought the presentation of the game was done very well and the thorough in-game instructions were good. The music was appropriate and there were good sound effects. I would be very interested to know if anyone can beat the hardest difficulty.
Enjoyed the concept, SFX were cool but think I would have preferred without the music.
interesting concept! the game looks good, I won a little too easily, I felt, but there is some potential!

Great interpretation of the theme. Once I understood the game, I thought it was a fun solo card game!
Cool game :) Well executed graphics that captured that "card game"-game feel. Good job!

Very nice looking game. I think there needs to be a simplified guided version for those of us that aren't really used to playing card games because it took some time to figure out what I was supposed to be doing even when the ingame instruction.
Nice game

Such a jazzy game. I just fell in love with that drum solo!

Very fun and great game! The music fits perfectly and sets the right mood. At the beginning I felt a bit overhelmed by the rules and especially the instructions at the 'How to play' button. I feel those could be presented in a better way and a basic description on the game page could help to slowly ease the player in, instead of presenting the information all at once.
@le-don That's a great suggestion. I just added some instructions with screenshots for future players to the itch.io page. Hopefully that makes it less painful to get the rules. Appreciate the feedback. So glad you liked it.

Once you figure out the rules, it plays smoothly. Card games aren’t very common in game jams, so that’s a plus. The game is well made and quite complete.

It's a nice little solitaire - could be good on mobile
Really fun concept! It's a really potential project.

Very interesting and well made! I really liked the trading mechanic, the multiplication of the values was a smart idea and and a great foundation for the gameplay. I found it easy to understand once I had read the "How to Play?" text. Nice touch on integrating it into the game! The UI was very well made and I think that helped make it satisfying and easy to play.

At first I didn't know what to think of it, playing the easiest level, but then I switch to the hardest one and wow, did that feel challenging! I think it took me like half an hour to finally beat it. Amazing work!
I think there is a typo in the How to play though, since it says that you are cards have to cost less than the houses ;)
Were you inspired by some existing card game, or did you come up with the scoring of the cards and trade up mechanic all by yourself?
@grid96 I thought of this myself. I guess it comes from collectable card games and I was brainstorming with a deck of cards, so I didn't move too far from that. Thanks for asking :) And thanks for the typo.. that's an important note.

The "how to play" has an incorrect line - says "your cards must cost less than the house's", which I thought was odd, but the game as named "trade up", so I figured it'd be interesting. I quickly found out it's the opposite of what it said, though =).
This was a lot of fun - I won once (quickly, first time through the deck) on normal, and then went back to play on hard and really enjoyed it! My only problem was it was too hard to tell the suits apart, having them be (at least two ) different colors would have been nice. Music and sounds effects were good, and everything felt very polished and elegant. Nice job!
GJ with the game, interesting trade mechanics, and providing different difficulty levels. I would have painted the clubs and spades black to better differentiate them. Nice compo submission
@jimbly @jose-bonilla I see what you two mean about the suit colors. I was copying the standard deck of cards, but I missed that detail. The suits are pretty similar without the color. Thanks for the feedback.
Really cool idea for a simple collection card game, I liked it. Felt polished and worked as intended throughout. Would have been nice to see a little juice in there as it feels very clean otherwise, would have pushed it that little bit further, but I know timing and fitting everything in that you want is tough. Overall a good entry and I expect you to do well

An unusual game is a straight 100%
One of the games that matching with theme 100%. Good job! But I cant get all cards from 1 to 10 in an hour! :)
