The webGL build seems to lock up at 90%. Check the compression settings under Player settings, something with Itch requiring uncompressed.

Nice visuals! I enjoyed researching things underwater! It sorta just ended though with a giant blue ocean and I didn't know what to do when I got to that point. But overall good experience. Thanks for the game!
After diving very deep (found the octoboi!) the ocean and floor just seem to end? Overall, nice game.
I really enjoyed this - I got to the point where I found some kind of cavern leading back to the left at the ~1000m deep mark, but buying upgrades at the shop I accidentally tried to build a hull upgrade that didn't exist, and it crashed the WebGL build - oh well!
Very fun compo entry that fits the theme really nicely!
Very nice game overall, it was fun exploring and it fits the theme very nicely! Maybe a bit more animals rather than static plants would have been even more interesting? (or something more than just the name of the species)
I ended up dying in front of a giant fish. Coming back and forth to the repair shop was a bit long so I was too tired to do it again for my last improvement for the hull.
The sound of the engine was very low. It would have to have a better "underwater atmosphere" from the sound. The visuals works well though :)
It doesn't look like the web build is loading at all on itch.
@hutchings90 It should be updated and working - I had a non-working build on there initially, but it has been updated since and I've confirmed it to be working via multiple people. Maybe check your browser settings to see if something is being blocked from loading?
Ocean seemed slightly too vast, things were hard to find. Apart from that, controls felt good and shadow effect was neat :)
I liked exploring, though it felt pretty linear. More and deeper caves would be a nice addition. It was satisfying to find new things. The upgrades were well worth the effort to get them.
The boat's controls were good. I like that the light comes on when diving. It's a nice touch.
Going back to the shop took too long, that was the game's weak point for me, though I liked jumping out of the water when I resurfaced.
Nice game!
The abrupt water darkening is a bit weird, but i like the light and shadow effect on the algea.
I think the ascending/descending loop was indeed the way to go with this theme and game. I would have liked a less linear progression, with maybe caves to explore and light or oxygen upgrades.
I loved the visual style. Graphics are cool. The controls are easy and i think there“s a good job with the feeling of inertia, it made me believe i was driving a very heavy submarine. I think this could have been used for avoiding osbtacles and making the fact of driving the submarine a part of the game mechanics, because after a while i was alone in the ocean.
I liked the art a lot! It did feel a little slow to progress/find new stuff after a point. But lots of nice little touches, good job!
I like the overal style of your game. The intention was stated clear, the means by how to do that a little bit less. I do like the concept and the boat controlled smoothly. I was wondering what the difference is between just keep pushing onwards, full throttle... and just taking your time to enjoy the environment?
The general world/ocean felt expansive and nice to explore, and the shadows from and on the seaweeds were a really nice touch to help ground the submarine.
The general game loop was a bit slow and perhaps something more could have been added to spice it up
Cool game, like the sounds of submarine! Great Job!
Nice game, perfect for chilling out. Exploring the ocean deeps was a enjoyable experience, surely my curiosity pulled me deeper and deeper :)
