I love your different interpretation on "seconds"! Very cool. I do wish I could have progressed the beginning dialogue at my own pace, though. Some of it went by too fast to read.

Really unique interpretation of the theme. I really like the graphics and audio. I agree though that it would've been nicer to progress the dialogue in the intro at my own pace as it was a bit too fast.
I like the interpretation of the word "seconds" in a dueling sense!
The game is hectic, but fun, after a while you get a "knack" for identifying the matching patterns quickly - the 10 second time-limit becomes very tight, once there are enough picks to require scrolling. Since it is hard to get an overview of all actions in such a short time, and still have enough time to also place them correctly.
Although, the intro text scrolled a bit too fast, the mumbling sound effect was exquisite.
I liked the graphics, they were clear to decode even at a rapid pace. The explanation of the items was fun as well.
All in all, it was a solid entry!
Yes, you're probably right, 10 seconds is not actually enough to solve more advanced puzzles - but given that my entry isn't very good, I had to shoot for those five stars on "Theme", to get a good placement in one category at least ;)
Sorry about the intro text, I suppose I should have spent some more time balancing the timer. Since the intro text also explains the (flavor of the) game, I'll post it here for clarity:
>Dear friend and Sir, are you aware of the most gravest problem of our times? Naturally, I am discussing the matter of seconds. As thou arst aware, when two gentlemen need to settle a matter in a duel, each of them will pick a second to act as their aide. In the days of yore, seconds were easy to come by, as all men were men of great honor, and would gladly and bravely help a valued friend get shot because he did his neighbour's daughter. Yet these days, few men remember the arts of dueling, and fewer still will practice them; wherefore only one in Every 10 Seconds will be a good aide, for lack of good practice. [pause] Yes, my trusted and valued friend, I see that this issue upsets you greatly as well. As such, I have a proposal to make. Why don't you act as a second for me and some other gentlemen and fine ladys this coming weekend? I assure you there is not much to it. All you have to do is engage in logistics, and ensure that each duelist gets the things they need. As you are aware, to engage in a duel, a person of fine standing requires four things: bullets, in an amount previously agreed upon by the duelists, knives, in case the bullets run out, cigarettes, to calm the nerves after a fine murder, and coin, in order to bribe the police. Of course, different duelists have different preferences and requirements, and a good second will cater to their needs. The duelists will approach you from the right, as decorum demands, and you will supply them with items from the table to your left. Be aware, though, that the items are packed in impractical packing sizes, and you will have to pick the items in such a way that ultimately, all demands can be satisfied. Hast thou understood? Fair well - then meet us at the dueling ground by sunrise - or I shall challenge you as well!
Cool take on the theme and great art style! Plays well and is fun, great job!
Cool interpretation, it's a bit hard to see the things you have to match imo, but I got used to it after some games. The time pressure is neat !
It's a fun puzzle game. As somnium wrote, that's too much math for too little time. I can get through a few rounds, but I need to restart frequently. Thanks for posting the intro text. In game it was to fast, but aside from the timing, it's a fun intro. I like the format of the game in general and it works well. The music/sound effects set a nice mood too.
I like the idea here, really nice interpretation of the theme. tho I wish the dialogs didn't skip too quickly. it takes some trial and error to learn what the game is all about but once I did it became fun to play! nice entry
Great job establishing an atmosphere! I can't say I got very far in the puzzles but the colors and artstyle were very nice to look at :)
I'm bad at quick maths, but this was fun
So intuitive I barely had to look at the intructions and figured it out as I was playing, not sure how that happened but wow. Very cool concept!
Innovative take on the theme, haven't seen that one in other games so far! I agree on the text at the beginning, it went by too quickly, but thanks for posting it in one of the other comments. The gameplay idea was fun at first, but became very hard once there were a few more options. Great job on the graphics, they fit very well with the rest of the game!
Fun and fantastic.
Fun little game. Simple, but the theme and game mechnic play well together. Controls almost got in the way though.
- clicking on a person's card is tricky... only their name counts; if you click on the stats it does nothing - the keyboard to start / mouse to play is a bit weird; was confused when keyboard did nothing during the game - seeing the game board before the game starts would be helpful; took three or four attempts to figure out what the game even wanted me to do
That last point is a little tricky. Given more time, I'd probably recommend tying in the intro with a very short UI tutorial. Maybe a quicker hack would be just letting the player see the first round of cards before starting the game. No real harm in giving the player the first round for free.
Everything else felt pretty good, and I definitely enjoyed playing.
@acdimalev Your suggestion for a UI intro makes a lot of sense, although it would have been out of scope for me for this LD (mostly because I was very uninspired on Saturday and therefore had to do the entire game on Sunday). :)
You're absolutely right about the UI responsiveness problems, this was my first time using the Godot GUI system and I couldn't quite figure out how some of the event propagation logic works (panels that are parents of child controls do not fire on-click events by default when the user clicks on their children, which made the cards unresponsive), so I just kind of hacked it together by having *all* controls fire events, which doesn't really work either. I'll definitely study the GUI system until the next LD and learn how it's actually meant to be used.
Thank you for the detailed feedback!
Very unique, loved the art style. Requires some quick thinking, but that's the point!
I got this one ... trying to run the WebGL

Apparently it wont upload pictures... so black box with this text: Failed to read the 'serviceWorker' property from 'Navigator': Service worker is disabled because the context is sandboxed and lacks the 'allow-same-origin' flag.
Ah - you made a notice of it in the text... sorry about that
What a nice idea !
The art is really well made.
Good job
I really liked this, was confused at first, then understood you have to complete numbers :) Nice interpretation of the theme, would have loved to duel the "friend" at the beginning when loosing haha! The only hiccup is the text going too fast at the beginning, should let the player choose when to continue displaying the text
I like the alternative interpretation of the theme and the distinct graphics. The introduction text is a bit too fast for me.
Game Was full of enjoyment and loved Graphics.
I didn't get very far, but I love this idea and implementation. Top marks for graphics, sound and humour, as well. :)
