This game reminds me of NO MAN SKY in a way, I guess it's the stylistic graphics. For a COMPO game, this is so well polished! Good job.

I'm blown away you were able to make this in just two days! The game looks very polished. The controls took some getting used to, and I had some trouble with aiming. My shots went over the enemy most of the time, but that might be part of the game.

Reminds me of Battlezone 2. Agreed with @iluvatar very good polish for a compo game. The camera followed the player a bit too rigidly, and the signal mechanic didn't seem to matter much compared to just usual 3D shooter mechanics. Title music was very bouncy and fun, though the combat SFX were a bit too loud\harsh.

Do you know what?! That was great fun. Looks good, sounds good, gameplay was a bit quirky, but I'll be blowed if I didn't have a blast bounding over those hills. Great entry :8ball:

Hell yeah, that was close, I didn't think I was going to make it after the first two took like 50% of my health, but I pulled through with tactical EMPs and some good old bullet spam. At one time there were 10 of them in the middle of the map trying to gang up on my, but I fried them real good, that was great!

So yeah, extremely fun game. Everything feels good in this, the hover tank tank controls feel very fluid, rolling over the terrain is fun, hovering over the mountains, shooting enemies, freezing them and blowing them up is very satisfying, there's a nice oomph to shots. Everything looks great as well, the effects on the shots and the EMP are super polished, same as the models used for the tanks, great job on everything! Sound design is top-notch as well, I love the sound the hovering makes, it's just super good. Love the framing story of remote work (the kanban board, lmao) as well. Very well done all around, great job on this game!

@last-angle Thanks! I deliberately made the gun rigid and the bullets follow a ballistic trajectory, so the player has to aim by positioning the tank itself. To balance that, the bullets have some spread, so they fly a bit higher or lower each shot. But I understand the frustration. Maybe when you’re close to the enemy, the gun should fire slightly lower.

@nathmate Thanks. Yeah, I'm still learning how to use Cinemachine properly so the camera feels right. I agree, it's not there yet.

The tank controls so nicely, and how it goes over terrain is lovely. Once I acclimated to the combat, it was a joy taking out the enemies with strategy. Was never able to finish the game, though. Out of my three playthroughs, I could never find the final enemy. Awesome game still!

@alec-cunningham Thanks! I could say the enemies know how to hide, but honestly, sometimes they just get stuck in colliders somewhere in a tree, and you have to find them by driving around the whole island.

Really nice art style and gameplay! It's harder to aim with a fixed turret, but somehow it (+ nice sound effects) makes hitting the enemies and the combat more satisfying. EMP bomb looks cool and helps a lot, even though it seems you could easily abstain from using it. Overall very impressive for 48 hours! I need a longer version of this game, because I only completed it in around 2 minutes on the first try :smile:

Very nice and complete entry! The tank controls really smooth, and the graphics are awesome! Also the sound it very good for a compo game!

Aiming is a bit hard, especially because the terrain is so bumpy, sometimes you stop on a little hump and your aim is completely off. Also the camera made me a bit seasick :)

But it is great fun to drive around and shoot enemies, and that is what's most important. Well done!

Controlling the tank feels so quick and fluid. I had fun floating when I run off a cliff. I felt the impact when shooting too. Nice sounds and effects. The terrain was mixed and interesting too. It added to the fun of controlling the tank. You nailed the action-y feel.

It was a bit frustrating that I couldn't change my shot in the up/down directions, so I had to find the right terrain to make the shot.

I just jammed the whole map =) First thought: "why isn't there proper aiming?", then: "actually, this is way more fun!" and I just rained fire on everything around me.

TANK CONTROLLLLLLLSssssss haha after a moment I figureouted all of it. and i was rampaging like a mad tankman. boo m boom boom . nice graphics. Likedem. Awkward on everything else, the jamming was strange and the aiming moving was very odd, but it worked. :-)

This was great. The gameplay felt smooth and sound effects were sufficiently punchy. Good scope for a compo entry. Aiming vertically was a bit of a pain. My shots were usually going over the opponents.

Nice little shooter. Slightly retro, reminds me of some shooters from the mid-90s. Great graphics, very smooth movement, though a little hard to aim.

Nice game, especially like the visuals. The "jammed" mechanic is also quite interesting, so you dont have to shoot but also manage your position and avoid lightnings

So my first reaction to the extremely bumpy camera controls was like "wow, I wonder why other games don't do this more often, really feels gritty and offroad", until nausea hit me around 3 seconds later :) So consider turning it down, or at least provide a setting :)

Cool game though, great graphics and sounds. Is that procedural terrain generation? I found the bullets a bit hard to hit, nothing a hitbox increase wouldn't fix. I would also have loved to simply hold down the shoot button like shmups often do it.

Great game! This scene and the art design are very interesting, and the gameplay is also very fun
