Well put together entry, nice and simple but felt very complete, well executed on what you were going for. You clearly managed your time better than me XD. Really enjoyed the pixel art!

immortalfox 2025-10-05 23:24

Funny and nice game :) Cute art. That mouse... Is sneaky

john-gabriel 2025-10-05 23:58

I _really_ enjoyed this one - the core mechanics are just really well thought-out. I could very happily have played twice as much of it again. The presentation is basic, but really cozy - especially the little touches in the soundtrack.

Sokoban with enemies? Love it.

I never managed to figure out exactly how the rat's pathfinding works. Sometimes it'll go around obstacles and sometimes it won't. I could solve all the levels in the game through a little trial and error, but I could see the unpredictability becoming frustrating if it had continued into more advanced puzzle-y levels. (And I did find myself wishing for more levels. This is a really fun mechanic.)

@indigowolf Thank you for playing and for the comment!

@john-gabriel Thanks for the feedback!

sthor726 2025-10-06 01:30

@jacobwinters Yes, the pathfinding was something I hoped to fix during development, I totally agree. Thank you for playing and for your comment!

Sokoban is usually my least favourite sub-genre of puzzle games but the cute artstyle and the cozy sound design more than made up for it. Played through the whole thing, had a blast. Great work!

threeli 2025-10-06 03:53

Hey, excellent work developing out so many micro-ideas. As @john-gabriel and @jacobwinters said: I could easily have played a ton more. The audio work was particularly nice too, minimalist but very fitting. Was this a one and done or are you considering further development? Either way, very fun!

While it is pretty much a Sokoban, I really liked the addition of enemies that attack your valuables. Shows how a simple mechanic like that can create a whole new dynamic on the genre.

Would have happily played even more. The difficulty curve probably could use some work - especially for players who are not good or used to puzzle games. But that is easy to work on after the jam!

osh-studio 2025-10-06 09:44

Short and sweet, these sokoban style games are satisfying when done well. I feel like the addition of the rat made it unique compared to other ones I've played. Most polished game I've played in this jam so far!

This game is great!

Cozy vibes, calming sound effects and interesting puzzles :D

My only critique would be that it's so short :(

alex-mulkerrin 2025-10-06 13:47

Really well executed puzzle idea. The art style fits the nostalgic vibes. I found the rat an interesting addition to a block pusher, why it wants to eat those things we'll never know. I could see this being extended into a full fledged game, excellent!

sthor726 2025-10-06 17:11

@threeli I think just a one and done for now, but we'll see. Thanks for playing and for your comments!

threeli 2025-10-06 19:38

Well, it's good as it is, very cute!

debugman18 2025-10-07 00:39

The loop is doing a lot with a little. You must move objects to the goal while thwarting a rat. Cute pixel art!

coatline 2025-10-07 04:08

Nice little chill puzzle game. I thought it was pretty well done. It felt cohesive and on theme. Sweet scene transition and sound effects!

blackcat508 2025-10-07 06:43

super simple and easy to get into, nice!

noodlestorm 2025-10-07 08:41

I like Sokoban and i like the pixelart of the collections!

elanor 2025-10-07 16:23

This game is awesome!

I must admit that the gameplay itself isn't exactly innovative, but who cares? Not every game has to be, and this one is super fun regardless.

The rat's pathfinding was a bit unpredictable at times, which could be bothersome in potential future puzzles, but it wasn't a huge deal.

I would 100% play a full version.

P.S. Awesome pixel art by the way :]

@elanor Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it :)

arkicade 2025-10-07 17:45

Really enjoyable sokoban game! I liked how you started with a level that was already testing the player's knowledge. You manage to do a lot with the core mechanic of the chasing rat and each level feels like it's adding something new. The acoustic guitar sound effects sound great as well :)

pincushion 2025-10-07 20:16

Fun puzzles. It just needs more of them. The rules are easy to understand with some trial and error. Nice looking with nice screen transitions too.

artificer 2025-10-08 14:47

Cute, charming graphics, and a nice puzzle mechanism. I liked making the rats fall >:} The sound effects and little strum sound also fit the attic vibe nicely. Really nice job, honestly would play more!

A simple and enjoyable game. I liked the level design. Very good game.

kaba 2025-10-18 07:31

This was immensely enjoyable! Everything from the graphics to the minimalistic audio to the presentation felt well scoped and super polished. Brilliant execution. I just had a huge grin on my face playing this and it left me wanting a little more.

This game gets bonus points for being one of a few that can suck me into the game and forget my surroundings, even if just for a few minutes. As others have said, the beauty of this game is in its completeness. Artwork, screen transition animations, musical sound effects, a menu screen, and easy to learn mechanics. I like that you can learn how things like how the rat and holes in the floor work with a little trial and error rather than being too verbose telling the user how they work. Nice game!
