Wow impressive game, I love the superhot touch ! Everything is so polished and clean graphics, sounds and simple but very nice gameplay ! Great job !!!

azsteak 2020-10-06 17:56

Amazing concept and gameplay ! It would be an amazing full fleshed out game ! And the SuperHot ambiance is on point !

lichead-studio 2020-10-06 18:06

It's amazing

rhaelser 2020-10-06 18:08

Oh man, i love this! It's fun to play!

Would be an amazing game to continue working on!

petter 2020-10-06 18:09

Very interesting concept you got there guys. Loved the polish. Bit difficult in the beginning, but once I got some ski-ll I got through it... There's definitely potential should you choose to take it further!

skleembof 2020-10-06 18:12

awesome idea! This was a lot of fun and it fit the theme perfectly.

It kind of felt like directing a movie

kaonnull 2020-10-06 18:15

Great idea and implementation, fits the theme well.

I wish i could play more levels!

Had a lot of fun playing, thanks. Really Great Job!

sli 2020-10-06 18:21

Great Job. I was hoping the end was just a checkpoint I would have played more. The game is very good overall as it is. Nevertheless if I must suggest something I think it would be fun if you had some randomization of the obstacles and maybe even replaying the level with harder ones. That would easily give you 4,5 more levels on the game as it is.

klaus-peter 2020-10-06 18:25

Pretty nice concept! I didn't get it right away but then it was fun

xiyou 2020-10-06 18:57

It's so good, just the beginning part shook me to my core. It's very well done and the idea of the replay is just so much fun.

thought-reactor 2020-10-07 19:48

This was awesome! The mechanic so was so well done and definitely warrants some further exploration. I'd be really curious to see how you would build this into a full-fledged title. Great work!

ancient-pixel 2020-10-07 20:14

Brilliant take in the theme and i stuck around and tried hard to make it through. That felt really good. More than one level would be good obbiously^^

dablob 2020-10-08 12:14

Holy fuck that was cool ! Sucks that it was so short. Started a tiny bit slow !

conneli 2020-10-08 17:26

Great fun, graphically ambitious for the jam, and a great take on the theme. This entry I could definitely see myself playing more of if it was expanded. Great work and well done!

rhiannon 2020-10-08 17:28

I didn't get the goal at first, but then I was really sucked in to. Please make a new level!

mde 2020-10-08 21:05

Nice game, I like the twist after completing the level for the first time. Only minor fault is that the player orientation sometimes isn't reset at the level start.

monetai 2020-10-08 22:00

@mde thank for your feedbacks !!! Yeah it's a bug I couldn't get rid of before the time limit... it bother me sooooooo much ;(

guimoliveira 2020-10-09 13:56

Very nice game, I really enjoyed. :)

whynotyt 2020-10-09 17:35

One Of The Best Games I've played so far in this jam. Great Work!

A few "issues" with the game were: - The Sensitivity Was Too High. Having a simple slider would have made the experience even better. - Moving With WSAD as well as Arrow Keys would be more appealing.

Other Than That It was glorious!

monetai 2020-10-09 17:54

@whynotyt Thank you very much for the kinds words <3 You're right I should've put a slider, at least before the game's start.

For the arrow keys, it's a question I'm always asking myself when doing jam, should I handle just QWERTY keyboard? Try to remap? Let the user remap it's keyboard layout with language pack? This time my answer was "the arrow keys are identical on almost every keyboard layout lol" but like you I think it was not an elegant solution. For the small story, I'am french so I'm working with an AZERTY layout and one time I forgot to change the mapping to a QWERTY one before submitting a game to LD.. everyone was "Why the key mapping is so weird in your game O.o" since this time I'm afraid of keyboard mapping =p

One of my favorite games I've played so far this year, huge kudos!! Everything about this game was simple, clean and effective. I liked the cadence of switching between playing & observing. If you continue working on this game, would love to see things like checkpoints, more slaloms, and the ability to jump/spin/etc through obstacles in the air.

Side note - my favorite thing about this game was the ability to time movement with sound cues. IE: tracking what melody/pitch is being played during the observation phase, and waiting for that to play in the real game before evading something. Would love to see that developed more, I think it's a really rewarding mechanic.

palemek 2020-10-09 20:28

It was hard for me to understand what is going on in the beginning, but later on very solid entry, congrats guys!

yalynx 2020-10-09 21:34

This game was really cool. The only real gripe I had with it was I wish I could use WASD movement. Still, neat visuals and music. I was scared when I had to shoot, but I was pleasantly surprised by what the gun was really used for :)

walaber 2020-10-10 04:11

GREAT idea! played with my son on stream (me on mouse, him on keyboard). super fun! wish there were more levels!

fraxle 2020-10-10 14:44

Absolutely a joy to play, unconventional control scheme, but that was really well done! Really love the name too, absolute great pun!

fupi 2020-10-10 17:12

GOD WHAT A GAME!!!!! Dude this is just OOZING charm and style! This is not only a perfect and innovative fit for the theme, but also one of the most stylishly consistent and creative games I played this jam. The music is varied and on point with the electronic feel and it ends right as you finish the track, the post-processing is cool and striking, the UI is minimal and makes sense in the world, the challenge is finely tuned, the mechanics are easily understood with basically no tutorial at all, it runs great... You guys deserve every little drop of praise you can get.

monetai 2020-10-10 17:25

@fupi    Thank you soo much!! Really glad you liked our game!

ms-annotation-x 2020-10-10 18:52

**Good game! So original, and fun!**

**What I liked?** - I liked the title screen. Don't forget to fix "skey". [1] - I liked the music, and the SFX. - I liked the visuals. - I liked camera movements/rotation. It is smooth, I guess. - I really liked the mechanics and the gameplay of the game.

**What I disliked?** - The player is moving too slow. - Press any key to start mission on the title screen. I want only the game to start if I pressed space or enter. - I can't pause the game. - No interactive tutorial. - The bullet is too big. - The bullet it doesn't look like it came from the gun. - Didn't like the red line behind the bullet. - Yellow text on ~white background is hard to read. [2] - I can't move forward or backwards. So, don't write Arrow key to move. Only write buttons that I can click.

**Bugs/to fix:** - Title screen "Press any skey to start mission." [1] - The skybox colour is changing after pressing "R".

**Suggestions:** - Add a pause menu and unhide the cursor after pausing the game. - Maybe reset cursor/crosshair position when the game rewinds. - Maybe, rewind the game a bit early. Or make a button to do that.

---

Sorry for the critical feedback.

---

**- I saw "Recording User...", I think you are recording players playing, and you didn't say that. (There is nothing says that you will do that, from the start of the game.) (You could be punished for doing that, I think)**

@ms-annotation-x WOUAAAAAAH impressive feedbacks!!! Thanks you you were really motivated =)

**First and the more important don't worry the game isn't recording you =p** It's a secondary feedback for telling the player in which phase the game currently is (is the player playing or the game replaying user's actions). Sorry if it wasn't clear enough ='(

For the "Skey" it's a pun... a bad one but a pun nonetheless =p Maybe it only work with my heavy french accent? haha =p

Your suggestion are totally on point! We were focused on delivering a cool core experience but laked in the "classic game features" like the pause menu. We also tried to make the tutorial seemless, the first obstacle is here to explain the rule to the player without being intrusive but I can understand that it wasn't enough. Feedback like the bullet being too big, the player too slow can really help us making the game better so thanks again!!

Ps: Oops the skybox color changing when pressing R is a debug feature I forgot to remove...

raptorofaxys 2020-10-11 05:43

Wow, what an amazing package altogether. Everything fit together - the aesthetics, the music, the post-processing. Great job - I thoroughly enjoyed the idea! Thanks for sharing!

yword 2020-10-11 06:45

Unexpected and cool idea, with nice music too! ^_^

inferture 2020-10-11 17:47

That was a fun take on the theme and I like the implementation. The film grain went very well with the simulation part ^^

The audio was on point too !

Maybe I would bend the character a bit when turning so that it would feel more like turning with skis, but that's just a minor thing. It was a excellent entry imo

ludipe 2020-10-21 16:43

I got big Superhot vibes from the plain colors and the bullet trails. I think this was a fun concept and I really loved the presentation, but I wish there was a way to speed up the rewind. But that's all, again, really liked the personality of the game and the spy theme.
