What a great idea! Very satisfying to play and the atmosphere is cool. The only problem was that I got stuck in certain places and had to restart the game. Well done!

Despite a few issues, I really enjoyed this game! It's a great idea and for the most part very well executed!

I have to tell you having to use WASD keys and not being able to also use arrow keys hindered the experience. Left handers can use WASD, but it's uncomfortable and tires after a bit. And it's so easy in Godot to just support both at the same time.

I too got stuck in places and wished that I could jump or if it just let me step over things. Maybe the no-jump deal was part of it though.

The mood of the abandoned factory is so cool! This rusty metal and idea with photos remind Iron Lung for me. Unfortunately FPS is too low on my PC(

This is a really neat little game - the atmosphere is nice, and the mechanics are fun. I especially liked the camera rotation mechanic. The ending was also unexpected, and a cute touch

It was a little hard to tell the difference between normal red objects and glowing red objects - I *think* it's okay to get the former in your photos?

Really cool game, the saving photos was awesome- tho there were a couple times when it was really finicky to get everything in frame and I couldn't tell if there was an easier way to do what I was doing. Also I had to force quit a couple times because I got stuck on geometry.

really great idea, a very interesting constraint to force the player to think about perspective (literally). the feedback in-game was pretty confusing to me, having objects be red outside the viewfinder but blue inside the viewfinder made understanding the rules needlessly confusing IMO. with a bit more refinement, guidance, this is a great concept for a larger game!

I also got stuck at some points, but I really like the concept. Good stuff!

An awesome idea! Sometimes movement and controls felt a bit clunky, but that's to be expected in a jam game. Overall it works well and it's a lot of fun. This really felt like exploring an abandoned industrial building.

I liked the game and it’s interesting, keep it up

I loved this!! The atmosphere was amazing, really peaceful, I did get stuck at one point cuz I forgot one of the mechanics but just going through and thinking of how to take the photos was really fun! Also I love that the photos get saved at the end :D

I love this one! It was really fun trying to figure out some of the puzzles. I got stuck on one and wandered around a bit but eventually it clicked. Nice touch with saving the photos after the game ends, that was cool. I also appreciate that the game does not jump scare or do anything creepy, just great atmosphere of exploring an abandoned place and getting some nice photos. Thank you for this, it was a great time!

I love abandoned industrial sites. I liked the graphics in this game. It was nice to walk around and take photos!

Oh wow, this is pretty cool. Probably the most innovative use of the theme I've encountered in rating. Navigation was a little finnicky, but managed to clear the game without too much trouble.

bliny-lynx 2023-10-20 08:50

This is very cool! I love the look and feel.

I wasn't sure what to do at first, but I got it after reading the help menu and comments here.

It's very easy to get stuck, happened to me in two tries in a row. After the third time just now I gave up.

Atmosphere is very good, but it's a bit too dark at times.

The environments in this game are top notch! I love the vibes of walking around an abandoned factory taking photos. The camera mechanic is really well made too! I like that you have to twist the camera in weird angles to get some of the shots ahah. One piece of feedback I have is that looking at the small camera screen while I can see the rest of the screen around it it was pretty disorienting. I think it'd be better if the camera took up more of the screen.

Great job overall! This is a pretty special game and one of the coolest games I've played this jam

Really cool idea! And executed pretty well, too. I loved going around and just taking pictures of the environment.

It took me a good while before realizing what needs to be done to progress. It would be good if there was some feedback on why your picture wasn't counted as complete (like the character saying "there's something missing here" or "no, I need to take that without that other thing in the shot"). I've spent quite a lot of time trying to take different angle pictures of a single gear only to realize that there's another one nearby and I have to have them both in the picture. Though once I figured it out it became pretty easy and it felt like I've stopped wandering through the same corridors over and over again and started speedrunning the game. :)

The atmosphere is great, you've managed to capture an abandoned industrial building pretty well. The low-res texture style looks fantastic, especially with this lighting system. The sounds are quite good too, increasing the feeling of being in a large empty structure without being overdone.

The biggest problem after the lack of feedback is the collisions with the terrain, which can sometimes get you stuck. Three or four times I got stuck in a place I couldn't move out of, or even couldn't move at all. Best solution would be to fix all these places, but since it would be incredibly difficult to find them all I think it would be better to have some way for the player to get unstuck. Yeah, it might be slightly immersion breaking, but it's much better then the player being stuck and forced to restart the game.

After four or five restarts I've managed to find and take all 8 pictures. Having a folder of saved photos is a nice touch. ;)
