Game may be broken. Buttons on the menu are really hard to click, and when actually playing, the 'RESET' button appears to break everything; i.e. the player will randomly teleport to locations I had in previous discarded attempts. I can't tell where enemies are travelling since they stand still, and I have no idea how to control the other 3 people, if I even can. Apart from those issues stopping the game from being able to be played, the game looks like it has a LOT going for it. Great atmosphere, great music, great idea, and it even looks quite fun, but I just can't get it to play.
I loved the eye button. Great atmosphere built too, with only subtle post processing needed. 'Loop Find's, or at least I assume that's what it said, are incredibly annoying, but I can tell that's what was intended. I would've loved a way to maybe walk around in the eye mode, but that kind of breaks the atmosphere all together and maybe makes the game simple. Puzzles... I couldn't work out a single one; The pictures are too abstract, or I'm just too dumb. Either way, I just kept pressing random buttons and remembering the correct ones 😅
Loved the music! Wonderful in every regard. The graphics were... interesting... but if anything that only made the game more fun and didn't cease to crack me up. In terms of improvement, obviously graphics. Occasionally I dropped an input or two, which when the game only consists of WASD and Spacebar, it's a bit annoying, but not too major. I can't get over how good that music is though, and the character dialogues are hilarious! Not quite sure how this all fits in with the theme however...
Loved the game! Simple and fun. Apart from me sucking at it, I did find that as the tasks got more complicated I had to recheck the screen more often; the screen of which is in a hard place to see from the conveyor belt. Maybe if the screen was more centred and a tad lower it would help? Unless, of course, you like your game being hard ;)
Looking again, I think it's the text alignment. That's the normal alignment for code, assuming that screen is trying to emulate some sort of basic computer, but it means your eyes have to travel a further distance from the tasks to the eggs and back, losing valuable time when you could be clicking MORE EGGS!
@eerongal Apologies for that; for some reason Ludum Dare decided not to link to the itch.io page. You should now be able to play the game directly via the included WebGL build, or the standalone executable available for download.
@kostas-nik We had originally contemplated adding multiple 'difficulty options' at the start of a new game, each with different turn durations (3 second, 5 second, 10 second). Unfortunately we ran out of time to implement it in a fluent manner, but we're certainly planning on adding this to a post-jam update for the itch.io version of the game. I'm glad you enjoyed the pixel art!
