Beautiful visuals and sounds. Had a bit of a hard time understanding what the traps were and how to use them properly. A few bugs also got in the way of enjoying it more. For a theme of "limited space" the map sure feels big :)

yuio 2023-10-02 23:50

The art in the game is gorgeous! The map is absolutely massive for a jam game as well. Although the mechanics need some polish when it comes to clarity and overall depth, this game has a lot of potential.

jozgames 2023-10-02 23:54

Bem bonito o jogo, gostei principalmente da parte sonora

adam-gallina 2023-10-03 02:58

Really interesting idea! The visuals and music worked really well together, and the controls were really smooth. I think I would have preferred a smaller map, as it was a bit hard to keep track of all the npcs and strategize, but other than that it was a lot of fun!

derek-glennon 2023-10-04 04:25

Wow I am in love with the style on this game! I had a super hard time with the controls though. Clicking and moving the mouse was the only way I could get the camera to pan and it moved incredibly slow. Maybe I was missing something. The story and the idea of the game seemed very interesting though. Nice job

mehul 2023-10-04 04:30

@derek-glennon For sure the movement is super jank, its click to start to move and you can drag across the screen to move faster, definitely want to add simpler panning in a post jam version.

dan-burns 2023-10-04 04:35

Easily the most stylish looking and sounding game I've played in the jam - amazing job! Wish I understood how to play a bit more clearly, but I will absolutely be following your work - you're clearly all deeply talented, and it shows in this work.

enrique-romero 2023-10-04 04:52

@dan-burns Thank you so much! If you have any further questions on the gameplay or art let us know! We are eager to keep improving.

morgie 2023-10-04 04:57

I love the art style of the game! It's super clean and I love how the game name and style match! Very cute detail. :D Also, the lore seems interesting and I would be interested in learning about it. :0 I wish the story in the beginning didn't disappear on its own, though. I had to go back and read it a few times, but I could just be a slow reader, haha.

In terms of gameplay it honestly took me a really long time to understand what I was supposed to be doing and how to move. I wish there was more of a tutorial or at least control descriptions on screen. I know there are some instruction prompts on screen, but the font color chosen make its really difficult to read, unfortunately. I also wasn't a huge fan of the way that the panning worked, it was quite slow and difficult to control. Otherwise, I think the premise and mechanics are very unique and unexpected. It makes me want to play more to really get it down. Awesome submission!

greenpig 2023-10-04 05:33

The graphics are amazing was very very confused at first but after reading the ludum page got the hang of the controls and had quite the fun playing the game. The music is also great. Good work.

mehul 2023-10-04 05:46

@morgie Thanks for taking the time for playing! The opening blurb is a spoof on the opening of bladerunner - and in hindsight making a button to advance the story instead of auto advance is a good idea. And panning is definitely one part of the game that we would like to switch out.

morgie 2023-10-04 06:15

@mehul Ahhh see I am not cultured enough to get that reference but it was still interesting and added depth to the game! Still a really cute game and honestly so impressive for a jam game.

svenerik 2023-10-04 06:55

Neat, very polished one with great overall aesthetics. The start was a bit slow to get hang of, but once you get hang of what's going on, it's quite fun and different from most genres picked around here which makes it a refreshing experience . Also the web version didn't really go full-screen so it's quite hard to read the fonts there, though manageable. Jolly good & solid work overall!

hiding-dev 2023-10-04 06:58

I liked the map design... Enjoyed playing!

mr-sun 2023-10-04 06:59

Amazing style and art direction! Really impressive the team is able to make some thing so coherent in such a short amount of time!

thomas-volpato 2023-10-04 07:34

not sure if was a bug, but once I close a door it opens very soon, and I can't close it again, this happens for all elements of the game. So I couldn't figure out how to progress on the game. For now I gave rating for the parts I could, everything but Overall and Fun, I can try it again later

aes1 2023-10-04 07:46

I thought the audio matched well the game. Putting time into making sure the controls feel good and if the game allows it, simple. I tend to struggle we this because I probably tend to have a preference. I think any in-built initial hint or tutorial goes a long way for me personally, but even with my own games time restricts me. the story concept was funny, the art was nice to look at, very good game :)

ditam 2023-10-04 13:03

What a scintillating color scheme! The whole map (a spaceship?) was beautiful, and its playful crispness fit the quirkiness of the concept. It's like playing Heat Signature on drugs.

I am a bit surprised that so many people reheat fish in their offices in the far future. That's a very bleak outlook for humanity. Great game though.

I did find the control scheme a bit annoying, frankly. Leftclick-and-drag to scroll and F to interact? Ouch. (Especially with how much scrolling you have to do on a map this size...) That's rather unconventional, and it took a lot of getting used to.

minjutin 2023-10-04 13:04

The environment is really interesting, nice-looking and full of little details, well done with that! It took me a little to realize what buttons to press and when, but after I got that I became a master hacker

peco 2023-10-04 13:42

Very pretty :D

loiclegrosfrere 2023-10-04 14:02

I've had a few bugs, like nodes I can't hack, doors already (and definitely) closed...

And I find it hard to do a good job, because the ten seconds for locking doors are too short for crowd control, and activating fans or generators is too slow (and makes targets flee).

Otherwise, it's a beautiful game!

crylica 2023-10-04 15:28

The art direction, UI and world building is fantastic. The text is really difficult to read, especially since screen sizes might be different (mine is 2k) I struggled to control the camera, would've really appreciated WASD controls for camera movement.

mehul 2023-10-04 15:32

@ditam lol that is a bug. There are different random profiles for the workers but for whatever reason it did not work. We promise to have a less bugged version at some point this week!

flashlight13 2023-10-04 21:46

Sick game! I loved the idea very much, but the difficulty is a bit too high for the first time. It would be nice to have multiple levels introducing mechanics one by one, rather than a single overwhelmingly huge map. Besides that I love your work. Awesome!

johnsensei 2023-10-04 22:51

Great art and audio! I would have like a more simple tutorial level to start off with. It took me a while to understand what was going on.

okshirl 2023-10-05 02:02

we love a well designed visual piece, the typographic details in everything... The way everything is designed, thought through and laid out, and the cover art! I think the game would benefit from a tutorial walkthrough. Great job!

vera-babchenko 2023-10-05 08:13

I really liked the graphics! Like vector and BAUHAUS

grizeldi 2023-10-05 16:44

The game looks great. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing though, since hacking most objects doesn't seem to do much. Half the buttons on the main menu don't seem to do anything.

mathkarma 2023-10-06 17:47

Really good submission. Looks wonderful too

newvid 2023-10-07 12:53

Beautiful looking game. But I have to ask is that the actual Vangelis score for Blade Runner at the beginning, because if not you did an amazing job imitating it.

mehul 2023-10-08 02:24

@newvid that is the first 10 seconds of the actual Vangelis score. I wish we had the time to make a cover tho.

mehul 2023-10-08 02:30

@grizeldi Yeah sadly there's a bunch of bugs - the doors and tv should be usable multiple times. We are trying to make a bug fee post jam version but for now this is what we have.

The version on itch has improved navigation controls. Thanks for trying the game!

lincolnsalles 2023-10-08 06:45

I definitely missed something, I didn't really understand how to play. The opening song mesmerized me because I'm a fan of blade runner. I don't think you could use a blade runner theme and compete for sound. Well, I don't know, but the opening song is by Blade Runner.

mehul 2023-10-08 07:45

@lincolnsalles Yes the opening is a parody of the bladerunner intro and uses a part of the vangelis score. The actual game score is orignal and created for the game.

As for controls and what to do you have to downsize all the workers using traps. Theres vents that vent the air, generators that explode and make noise as well as tvs that attract workers.

iron-head 2023-10-08 08:34

A cool idea. Very high skill floor, however. If I had all day, I guess I would get the hang of it. But hey, looks very nice, original, good sound. Great job.

chengnan17 2023-10-08 08:55

Very interesting gameplay, although it took me a while to figure out what I should do, sometimes the AI gets stuck somewhere.

fizzbark 2023-10-08 09:38

Cool concept and incredibly punchy sound and visuals. Unfortunately I had a similar experience to many other - map is very large and hard to keep track of things, Peekmehn move very fast and don't stop much so are hard to keep track of, and the behavior of them is hard to predict making it all quite difficult to play.

The art style is incredible, but the key interactables like televisions and vents get lost in the mix. Making these a bit higher in the visual hierarchy would really help the initial play experience.

Lots of potential here, I'll likely revisit the post-jam version soon, looking forward to seeing this developed.

fabula-rasa 2023-10-08 21:38

The game looks great - clean and appealing graphics with great color work. The music is very fitting, and sfx feel well-made and quality. And I loved the setup, very dystopian.

The area is so large that I didn't really feel the "limited space" The game is more challenging than it seems, so many executives, so little time. But it's fun to try to hunt them down!

I noticed some issues. Sometimes, the things you interacted with could not be interacted with again. Which, of course, made sense when it came to the overload node, but made no sense with the doors or tvs. So, I assume it's a bug. Also, some of the poor executive guys tended to just get stuck in the corner.

Still, I had fun playing. Great jam job!

enrique-romero 2023-10-10 20:10

@fabula-rasa Thank you for the notes! We are glad you enjoyed playing.

sabi 2023-10-19 12:56

Wow! Your color scheme is wild, but I like everything about that game!

unless-games 2023-10-19 19:55

Cool graphics! The controls were a bit annoying, would've loved to just active stuff with clicking instead of hover and space. Panning was unintuitive, I assume it was meant for mobiles maybe?

While the controls could benefit from a bit of "less is more", the visuals and audio is great and the overall polish is amazing. Good job!
