Lone Tower: Against All Odds by zuzupd 2023-10-04T04:03:55Z
The little skeletons are pretty hard to see, but overall the game was well made! Nice job

The little skeletons are pretty hard to see, but overall the game was well made! Nice job
Nice work on the models/shaders. The balance felt a bit off to me in that it took awhile to get credits again after your initial purchase. That seems like an easy fix of a variable though so it isn't a huge deal. You made a full tower defense game which is sweet! Good work!
Super polished game! Loved the cat and baby moving around to get in the way hehe
Nice job! I wanted a bit more variation over the course of a run, but it was fun overall
Character designs and models are awesome! I agree that the hitbox for losing your hearts seems a bit off and starting from the beginning of the game is rough, but nice job
Overall well made! Personally, I didn't really track what all what was happening with the numbers. Not sure what the "+" and "x1" were doing. Only thing I really got were pieces farther down the list made number go up faster which meant I could buy more. I would maybe recommend using smaller numbers for this process. Might be easier to parse? Number goes up 1 every x seconds or something
The graphics, controls, and audio were slick. Enjoyed my time playing. Nice work!
Voice acting, writing, and art were all phenomenal! Well done! My nitpicking complaint is that I desperately wanted to fit the cheese wheel and the painting together haha they just really look like they should be able to fit together!!
Very polished! Wonderful audio and art. Only piece of constructive feedback would be that using the middle mouse to rotate felt a bit awkward to me
An interesting puzzle! I was kinda bad at it to be honest haha
Definitely agree with others that the game is pretty hard, but I had a fun time with it! Was stressful (in a good way) to run around to try and keep everything in balance. Well done!
Very fun and relaxing building game! Great job! My only suggestion would be that it felt like there weren't a lot of options once you built yourself into a corner and then I had to just place columns over and over and be sad. Not sure what the best way to solve that would be? Maybe an early out would be fine? Or, maybe a way to get other helpful simple shapes? Not sure! Either way it was a blast to play
Neat concept! Was a little short, but maybe I just got lucky in the paths I picked
Looks and plays great! Definitely was confused on the first play through, but started to understand the second time around. Good way to connect to the theme. Nice job!
Wow I am in love with the style on this game! I had a super hard time with the controls though. Clicking and moving the mouse was the only way I could get the camera to pan and it moved incredibly slow. Maybe I was missing something. The story and the idea of the game seemed very interesting though. Nice job
Fun mystery! Models are very funny
Loved the art style and concept. My piece of constructive feedback would be that I wasn't a fan of continuously having to press the arrow keys to move. Moving when holding down would be nice. Also, maybe have a button/click cycle between the colors would feel less awkward
Sadly, I did get stuck on one of the elevators, but overall I enjoyed my time playing this! Nice job!
Really polished game great job!
Just wonderful! I do think a slower ramp into the mechanics would have been nice, but it being so hectic was part of the charm haha
Yup sadly can't see the game from the link :(
LOVE THIS! I would absolutely pay money for a full version of this game. The art style is great.
Nit picking but I found I wanted there to be some indicator for when the next boss was. Felt like there were too many fights of the same kind in a row. Took awhile for new cards and enemies to appear. Great mechanics though
Really interesting and unique idea here! Love the interpretation of the theme. My only frustration was that if I really messed up I would have to start the run fully over. I would of liked it if the boundaries only super slowed you down and didn't outright force a restart of the run. That being said once I got the hang of the controls I was dying less often so that became less of a major concern. Overall very fun nice job!
Wonderful art and interpretation of the theme! Very cute  Music did get a bit repetitive, but that is nit picking
Wonderful art style! My piece of constructive feedback would be that I think if you mess up you should start at the beginning of the level instead of the start of the game
Thanks all for the kind words regarding the game's visuals and characters! Definitely agree with the points about it being confusing/having janky click events/not having much to do. There was a lot more I wanted to do to make it feel more like an actual game but I way overscoped. Lesson learned I guess haha Thanks for the feedback nonetheless!
Art style and music were delightful :) It was a bit frustrating how the lines would stop drawing after a second or two and you would have to restart drawing the line again. After getting the hang of the controls though it was fun to play around with. Nice job!
Very relaxing! I'm not sure the final score screen works, or maybe I did just get 0
Very cute little fighting game great work!
Very clever idea! The settings in the top right were kinda small for me though. I would have liked them to be larger
Loved it! Neat concept that was well executed! Wasn't sure what to do with the red/green keys but maybe I missed something. Also, I think some additional audio cues/FX would be helpful when you get hit by the guards. That is nitpicking though tbh nice job!
Adorable art style! I had a hard time internalizing which of 1,2,3 destroyed what type of swimmer's stuff but maybe that is just a me problem haha
Fun entry! I dig the auto battler aspect of it. Pixel art and audio were fun as well. Wish it was a bit easier to get farther, but maybe I'm just bad
material work and music were nice! would like it if the character moved a bit quicker though
Art is very nice! Gameplay was nice and the hidden caves were a nice touch. Also, enjoyed that you could smash through the other fishes to get their trash. Well done
Very cozy organization game! My only nitpick is that it seemed like some of the items wouldn't snap properly when trying to place them. I would often have to place them on a different shelf and then reorganize from there. Well done though! art was very cute
Very nice entry! I like the art and the audio especially. The sound when a dog is defeated made me chuckle every time. I did encounter a potential bug where the entire game froze for a few seconds before the trash bag power up was used. Regardless though really good job!
Fun game! Was a little hard to keep track of things and the robot would kinda freak out when running into books. Double jump and slowing down were nice and it felt satisfying to time those abilities just right. Graphics and audio were nice too. Well done!
Really polished base you have! Having some time pressure element might be nice so that you have to really consider what requests you are trying to fulfill. Nice job though really enjoy the style and gameplay loop
okay this is sweet. Game was fun and music and art was on point. Well done!
This was such a treat! I love how the gems can wobble all over the place and all get stolen at once by the tentacles. Really made for some funny moments. Nice work! Audio was nice too
Really awesome puzzle game entry. My only nitpick would be that I kept wanting to have right click remove segments of the track haha Art, music, and game itself were all fantastic though. Such a great job! :D
Very charming! Cute and fun
This art is so so so lovely! Feels like a really solid start to a card game as well. Great work!
Visuals, music, and UI are all really top notch! Super well done there! The gameplay was fun too, but I ran into a bug that made it a bit difficult. When I would rotate an item it didn't seem to rotate locally about the mouse position, but instead would rotate about some other point on the screen. Made it hard to place rotated items into my inventory sadly haha Nice job on the entry though!
Definitely nailed the horror game vibe and look. Really good audio as well. Nice entry!
I don't think there is a way to play your game currently? The download on your itch page seems to be a web build?
Cute game! I was also seeing a bit of lag at the start of levels, but it worked itself out. Pretty impressive to make a 3D action game for the jam so well done there :D Definitely agree with the making collecting coins more convenient feedback. Feels like they should magnet to you after a second of defeating an enemy. I would often get hit by an arrow while trying to pick up the coins from taking down an enemy haha
Really solid and polished game! I could have played this for a long time. Honestly ship it haha really great job!!
Love the atmosphere and music! Nice job!
Mood and sfx are very charming. Ending is fun as well. Will say I think the camera could have moved a bit faster
Sadly could never go positive given the jobs and the workers provided. Seems like a good base for future features though. Having more variety in jobs and worker specialties etc could be cool. Well done
Love the models and characters! Game itself was really fun too. I could have played it for hours longer tbh. Really well done :D
Cute clicker game! Love the cat art. Could have maybe done some recolors to add a few more stages of progression to the game, but was fun either way! Nice job
Visual polish and audio are amazing! Really nice work! Game itself was fun too. I enjoyed collecting all the little fellas and having a hoard of carboard boxes in the corner. Also, really enjoyed the character art. Well done all around
Really solid tower defense game. Could have played it for a lot longer and honestly might come back to it. Art style is super cute too. Honestly you could ship this. Nice job!
Great game! Really clean and polished. Art, gameplay, and sfx were all amazing. Well done! Only nitpick I could give is that the wall jump felt a bit awkward, but other than that the game handled great
Very charming! Graphics and gameplay were great
A bit hard to control, but was fun once I got the hang of it
Really liked the character designs. Wanted to see more of them haha The music was also very nice and calming
Nice quick puzzle! I got a bit confused when I got the tiara because I thought I had to use it on something or that if I clicked on it the white outline would appear around it and then I could use it on things. Might have just been a me problem haha Regardless, well done!
Love this. Graphics were great and gameplay was fun. Very silly. I could play this all day easy
So incredibly impressive. Art, music, and mood were so polished. Game itself was a blast! I would pay money for this and play it for hours. Really really well done. Only nitpick to say is the text was a bit hard to read
Love this lil guy
Graphics and audio were nice! I think I hit a bug though where one of the puzzles didn't spawn and I couldn't move. Was enjoyable though good job!
I love number go up! Honestly had a ton of fun playing this. I love the leaderboard too. Great work!
This is wonderful! The art, presentation, and audio are top notch. I found it very charming. Great work
Really solid game here! I would play a longer version of this for sure. So impressive the amount of art assets you got done for this jam. The 2D art is really stunning too.
I did have an issue where when I went to the roof for the first time (following the tutorial) it didn't seem to trigger the next step of plugging in the wires. I restarted the game and it worked just fine the second time though. I think the first time it might have broken because I was following another tutorial at the time? Not sure
Either way really wonderful job here!
Very satisfying! Well done
Really dig the art and music here! I got stuck at the blocks quickly moving up and down though haha Couldn't get the timing right with the sprint. Really nice job though! Cute little main character
Very calming experience. Mural was pretty and collecting the pigments was fun. Two nitpicks are that the crunchy sfx was happening a little too often and I would suggest maybe the black pigment being more of an off-black rather than pure black. Was a fun time though! Nice job!
Really liked the style! Great work!
Really well done! Loved the puzzles and the art/music. My only nitpicky comments would be that I think I would like it if the color of text to click on was consistent. It seemed like it changed a few times so I ended up just clicking on every color text to make sure I didn't miss anything. Such an incredible job though. I would easily pay money for a full version of this
So beautiful. Really great job!
This is so charming. I love the vibe and aesthetics! The idea of an art museum for aliens after humans have gone extinct was very fun haha The sorting of the art into the different collections was really satisfying too. Honestly could have played for a lot longer! Could be interesting to explore the idea of requiring a fully complete room in order to unlock more rooms? Or, having to place customers into their favorite rooms?
Regardless, great job!
Art and music were great! Like the idea of the mechanic too. Sadly I also got stuck in a hole after some time, but was fun to play. Nice job!
Visuals were very nice. Love the character designs and the tileset was well done.
Nice job on the graphics and snow shader! Nitpicky comment is that it looks like you are clearing the candle's path from the render texture immediately when they die, but it might be nice to have it animate back up to full size over a few seconds like you do with the main snowball's trail. Either way the gameplay was fun and it handled well. Well done :D
Interesting mechanic! Nice job on the graphics too. You can use the send to ship mechanic through walls which is kinda funny haha This could definitely be a good idea to expand on though. Well done!
That third game was so difficult haha Also I did notice a bug where if I died while slomo was active the slomo would get stuck on. Nicely done though! Love how each game had a unique mechanic/art/vibe
Yup also seeing the link is broken :(
A fun little moody collection game. Really enjoyed it. Love that there is a leaderboard too. Graphics and Audio were nice. Great work!
Wow mother is needy haha fun game! Took a bit for me to realize that bashing into the wood/rocks a few times would break them and let me collect them. Gameplay was fun and upgrades were neat. Genuinely scared me the first time mother screamed too! Well done
Well done! The art is really cute and well done. I do wish it was a bit easier to interact with the box and move it around. The puzzles themselves were nice! Pretty clever. Great entry!
Wonderful vibes! Music and art are super well done. My nitpick comment would be that I think it should be a bit clearer visually that the mushrooms are bad and the collision between them and the player might need to be adjusted. Really nice job though. Very cute :D
Very stylish. Really enjoyed the art direction. The audio and sfx were nice too. One nitpick would be that I felt like the sfx while you are moving might repeat too often.
Really like the visual design!
Very charming and the voice acting was really well done! The bell combat was pretty fun! Really solid entry
Very atmospheric and moody! I enjoyed it quite a bit! Only suggestion would be to bump up the starting move speed and have the upgrades scale the move speed quicker
Interesting visuals and audio. I didn't realize at first that interacting with things would also make me fade away faster
Wow such an amazing entry. Love the art and music. The game has so much charm. Would definitely play a full version of this
A really nice adventure game! Art and vibe were spot on. A full length adventure game like this would be great. Well done!
Took a bit to realize that the black dot acted as a wild symbol and would affect any train type. Maybe a rainbow symbol would or something would help get that idea across? Regardless, a fun puzzle game to play through!
This is so cool! Really loved the idea and implementation. Well done!
I had a real tough time pressing any of the commands on beat haha but maybe I am just bad at rhythm games. Also, it did seem like a ThirdPersonTemplate UE app stayed open on my computer after closing the game for some reason?? Had to close it from Task Manager! Regardless, the art and audio were really polished and well done. Very cute. Nice job!
Visuals are super satisfying. I struggled with the controls a bit sadly. Really nice entry though
Really dig (hehe) the art and audio. Game was pretty meditative too. Great entry!
Holy moly this game has so much charm to it! The gameplay was a bit tough to do in real time. Or, at least I had a hard time memorizing the different elemental blocks to use. Maybe some pop up prompts would help or slowing down the combat a bit? Regardless, this was super well done. Great job!
Holy moly you made quite a bit of content for this jam! Impressive! The game was really clever. My only nitpick would be that I tend to like a fast forward button for the enemy movement in these types of games haha Well done though
Resolution seemed a bit off on itch, but the game was super fun! I did an archer focused build and won the last two levels with only the archers haha. Was really satisfying. Nice job!
@mostlikely yeah sorry I should have been more specific! As bearcage said though the game was only rendering on the top left quadrant of the screen on itch
Art and music were super solid. Well done
Art and music were super solid. Well done. Err sorry Idk how I double posted
@nidoprince nothing special to do with the beachball! Just there for fun :D
@stixffo hmm sorry that happened! Not sure what could have caused that
@python-b5 @pastmoments @miclefirst Thanks for playing!!
It felt like I kept losing at times I didn't understand (timer still going and in the middle of a minigame). Also, I don't believe the audio was working. I really liked the art and the idea of the game though! The main character is really cute and I love the animations when the roomba hits them haha Well done!
art and music were absolutely stunning! Took a bit for me to understand the puzzles and I think I am still a bit confused why sometimes moving onto the jump chests did what I expect and other times it did nothing. Regardless, really well done! Loved the keyblade frog too haha
It wasn't exactly clear to me how a TX was scored. I wasn't sure if it was checking the neighboring cells and looking for at least one match or if it was something else. Also, I agree that the oxygen/pause mechanic might have been getting in the way a bit. Regardless, really solid entry and congrats on your first Ludum Dare!
Ran into a crash sadly when clicking on one of the stars. Didn't hit it on my second play though! Art and audio was sick as hell. Nice job!
When trying to play I got: I got Error: Can't run project: no main scene defined in the project
Really polished art and audio! A little nitpicky, but when I clicked while dialogue was up it automatically skipped to the next line of dialogue when I expected it to just finish the current line's animation. Regardless, nice entry!!
Really polished entry! Nitpick would be that it felt like the mouse should have been invis/captured by the game and a text speed option would have been nice. Loved the atmosphere, mechanics and dialogue though!! Really enjoyed the twist ending too ;) Definitely could be a full game and I would play the heck out of it. Great job!
Had a tough time with the controls sadly. Visual style was really interesting. Nice job!
darn yup link broken :(
Solid incremental/clicker game! Nice job!
Music goes hard. Visuals are super cool too. Thought it moved a bit too slow at the start, but then it ramped up in difficultly pretty quickly. Made for a super satisfying experience. Well done!
That monster was pretty spooky haha very atmospheric! Well done!
Really adorable art style and music! My only nitpick is that that some visual feedback for when the signals are correctly hit would be nice. Was very relaxing though :)
Sadly it seemed like my mouse/keyboard input wasn't working with the game so I wasn't able to play :( I art and music seemed very pretty from the opening screen though haha
