Fall Faybound Festival by juxipolo 2023-01-15T07:56:27Z

Pretty fun game! There's a nice basis for a combat system that has a lot of room to expand if you want. The designs were cute and fun, and I was always excited whenever I got to see a new character. I was a bit confused about the status effects though. They didn't explain what each did when I tried hovering over them at first, at it wasn't until later on that I figured out that I needed to hover over it for longer, so for the early game I was mostly just working off of feeling. I think the strategy was pretty cool, and I think it avoided the typical trap of just loading as much damage in as possible, I found some value in some of the status effects like Stun and Confusion. The energy system and item things are also pretty cool ways of handling the combat, although for the attacks, it's a small thing but I wish it was a bit easier to tell which card belonged to who. Thanks for uploading!

The Orchid's Edge by Cornflowerblue 2023-01-18T01:04:43Z

Great game! The gameplay is pretty simple, but it works well enough to let the graphics and sound design give it all the charm it needs. The style was very cute and appealing, and the character designs were distinct and clear to get some instant awareness of what they'll do. The sound effects were also great, and I think the footsteps sounds fit for both function and style, so even just walking was very enjoyable. I think my main issue was that for the dash, I wish there wasn't so much end lag. I would start using it to get around and navigate faster, but it didn't seem fit to do that. Thanks for uploading!

LD52 Moonlight by Fis 2023-01-18T02:45:36Z

Pretty neat game! I really liked the aesthetics, and the combination of the nice sprites and the lighting set a nice tone for the game. I liked the hit reactions and dying animations for the enemies, but I wish there was some kind of audio indicator as well. I really liked the process of planting the flowers to heal once they were fully grown though, it makes for a nice balance of risk and reward.

FleshShot Plus by Retrisma 2023-01-18T00:35:23Z

Hey, liked playing as the guy 5555b.gif I managed to make it as far as wave 6, and then it would be pretty difficult to handle attacks on several different towers. Being able to put down the different towers to buff my stats was pretty fun, especially the way it would be specific to a sector. Unfortunately, I think it mostly meant that I would build the same set of towers three times instead of configuring each sector to have different advantages. Also there were a couple times that some of the options added were the same as the default options, which would be helpful if there was a limit or an increasing price or something that meant having a fresh version would have advantages, but it sort of felt disappointing that I didn't get a new cool ability. The abilities were all pretty cool too. I don't know if I saw all of them, since even on my last playthrough I saw new ones I hadn't seen before, but I like that building multiple towers would increase the potency of the effect. Making huge bullets made my day. Thanks for uploading!

Witchcraft! by Bulboculus 2023-01-19T23:10:50Z

Thanks for the game! The gameplay was a nice and I liked being able to place my scarecrows wherever I wanted. I would have liked some kind of tooltip to see what the scarecrows did, since the first time I played, I ended up putting my melee scarecrow behind all my shooter scarecrows. The music was a pretty simple loop, but quite enjoyable.

Solatro: A Solitaire Roguelike by NotExplosive 2025-10-17T07:45:06Z

Thanks for uploading! Had to stop myself before I sunk hours into it! I like the idea of it and think it would be really interesting to see all the different ways you could go crazy with the upgrades! It took me quite a while to actual get into the habit of using the special effects though - for a while I was mostly playing it as normal solitaire. There also might be an issue with the deck order when re-stacking. Sometimes I would notice that when my deck got smaller, if I put one card down (not the last one in order), the last card would be different sometimes. Definitely appreciate the risk free retries, I got pretty unlucky a few times (that, or I'm just pretty bad at solitaire).

Hatterdashery by Alchemic 2025-10-17T03:54:29Z

Thanks for uploading! Hat stacking was fun, and I like the variety of all the different powers you can get, and the idea of passing around the hats to gear up my soldiers was pretty cool. I think some extra feedback would have been pretty nice, since it was kind of difficult to tell that I was hitting the enemy at times. It kind of felt hard to explore far outside the base with a low wave timer - especially since it starts right when the wave appears. I suppose the idea is to give hats out to your troops so that it's safe while you go? The home base was neat, and the character designs were pretty cool too. Appreciate the arachnophobia mode as well.

Blackmail.exe by ildfuglen 2025-10-24T04:14:00Z

Thanks for uploading! A really coolly styled game, and the sound and visual effects really helped it pop and feel fun to play. Unfortunately, I don't really know if I was playing it correctly. It seemed like I was advancing, but I can't really tell if my impromptu strategy was actually working out, or if I was just managing to stumble through the thresholds. I could definitely see this being something super easy to get sucked into once I actually understood what I was doing, though. Since we're dealing with tech and people, it could also be fun to get more of a blurb of how some of this stuff we're getting blackmail went down too, if that's something you would be interested in exploring.

Sense of Shelf by zactyl 2025-10-24T04:58:11Z

@debugman18 @arianaraine @tangling @zozieee @takhomasac @eugenik @soleil @toxoplasma @ildfuglen Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad to hear that people were understanding the vision!

@guyingrey @wuppos @pimeko There's always something you forget to consider... It was my first time working on screenshot system like this, and even more with only a portion of a screen, so I hadn't even considered that the pixels it would be targeting would be based on the current resolution... Thankfully, it means that the next time I work on something like this, I'll be sure to account for it.

@derek-glennon @megalukes @yuxin I vastly underestimated the difficulty of dragging objects around. There was a lot of ironing things out, but it seems I still missed a couple spots, thanks for pointing these out!

@raysplaceinspace @vasea123 Yeah, music and sound effects were something that I was very distraught we wouldn't have the time to include. Definitely think it would have enhanced the vibes we were going for. On the bright side, neither of us are musicians, so the music we made probably would have been kinda bad anyways.

@bigtex Thank you, I was very proud of them!

@ranarh That's a great idea! Could have the rest of the in-progress pictures show up as some sort of album in the post, too. Thanks, this'll be something we consider if we keep working on this!

@carraka I can definitely feel the passion! Genre and author names were some methods we considered as well, but, well, 72 hours and all that. Thanks for catching some of those issues too. There are definitely some parts that could use some additional clarity, and some music and sound effects would really complete it.

Thank you everyone for playing, reviewing, and leaving a comment on our game!

Little Timmy, Big Dreams by AncientEntity 2025-10-08T04:21:29Z

Thanks for uploading! This was a pretty fun collection of microgames! Quite a few of them got a chuckle out of me when I encountered them. I think in general they were pretty quickly able to be understood - there were a couple of less instant ones, but after the second time seeing them I usually got the intended mechanic. I also liked the changes in the music, and seeing a wider variety of games as the days passed, too.

Want Toy Naow by Carraka 2025-10-24T03:05:40Z

Thanks for uploading! Super cute! Really appreciate a bit of the insight into the process of making the music as well, it was super catchy and, alongside the sound effects and cat meows, really helped to enhance the experience. There were a couple visual bugs with the cat requests sometimes showing up behind some of the obstacles, which made it kind of hard to tell which items I was supposed to get if I got unlucky. I think you did a good job of making pretty simple feeling obstacles really feel impactful - I got caught by the dog more times than I was expecting too.

The Little Book of Slimechemy by GuyInGrey 2025-10-08T07:08:42Z

Thanks for uploading! The art and atmosphere were pretty good, and the process of brewing the potions had a pretty good hook - playing the resource management game of figuring out what you can ditch to still make progress was enjoyable for me. Unfortunately there were a lot of pain point when it came to gathering everything. I think having a quicker way to get rid of stuff and having a way to better control the odds of what you're getting would help highlight more of the game. The procedural dungeons were pretty nice too, it was fun learning the tech to jump off the edges to better control where I landed.

The Key Keeper by megalukes 2025-10-08T05:42:41Z

Thanks for uploading! The visuals of this were very nice, I really liked the little darkness effect, and thought it was pretty cool that it sort of followed you around rather than sticking right on you. Kind of felt like your eyes were readjusting to the dark or something like that. It seems I wasn't in the minority that kinda felt off about the jump effect. I liked it in general, but it definitely felt weird getting the same shake from a short hop and a leap of faith. It was a nice little curve of stuff getting introduced to the player as well, which made things pretty easy to approach. Also great music.

Collector, Open the Door by Transkuja 2025-10-09T01:40:48Z

Thanks for uploading! This was pretty fun, slapping stuff around was enjoyable and having the items you needed to find switch in and out was a good way to make it so you couldn't just memorize one set path to find everything. It was also really funny, some of the stuff you could repossess made me chuckle, and I liked quite a few of the parody company names. Getting grabbed felt a little weird though, especially if it was from behind, it felt more like I was getting stuck on something rather than getting stopped by someone, if that makes sense.

Quit Stalin by Eugenik 2025-10-24T00:24:37Z

Thanks for uploading! This was a pretty interesting approach to the jam theme that I wasn't expecting. With a game like this, I think it's basically necessary to show the full dialog options in text, especially since there's an actual process of debate, it feels disingenuous to pick an option only knowing the first part of what I'm arguing. Also, the mouth movements, while pretty accurate (I think) felt very uncanny when the rest of their bodies were almost completely still. It was neat to see so many options and paths you could go down, although it seemed like a few of mine more or less ended up in the same place.

Mailbox Mania by Wuppos 2025-10-08T23:01:12Z

Thanks for uploading! This was a pretty fun score chaser, managed to top out at a high score of 27 and then each run after that was always just a bit lower. Controls took a little getting used to, and there was a time I got stuck behind that row of houses on the back left which ate up a ton of time and was frustrating, but overall I think it was a very enjoyable entry. Music and art were well done too, and I liked the visual and sound effects used, which made everything seem really responsive.

Collector Kitty by debugman18 2025-10-08T04:03:59Z

Thanks for uploading! Exploring the world was pretty fun, collecting the power-ups and being able to identify which would help where was had some nice puzzle solving. I think it was pretty easy to get lost though, since the individual biomes were pretty distinct, it was hard to remember which ones led to where when going back through them. The art for the cat was very cute, too!

A Stamp-Stealer Postman by Pimeko 2025-10-24T02:03:11Z

Thanks for uploading! This was super cute and fun, navigating each of the different towns was an interesting process, and some of the names definitely got a chuckle out of me! I kinda wish there was a way to always check which stamps you already have just so I can double check that I don't already have one I'm itching to pinch. Speaking of which, the peeling was very satisfying to go through! Really helped the collective feel.

HellBinder by PassbyKamenRider 2025-10-09T02:05:48Z

Thanks for uploading! It felt satisfying getting more and more used to cards and being able to identify wrong info on the spot. I don't know how much the patience meter come into play with the profit, but it definitely felt like it ticked down way too fast. If it was a card I wanted to buy, it felt like by the time I finished checking it out, they were already well into yellow at least. I also think a nice addition would be a sort of rate of change. We get to see how much we earned in a day, but it doesn't take into account how much we started that day wish, so on a couple days I was wondering if I made any real profit at all. Also, I think it was a bit tough to tell when the card art was the thing that was messed up in a short time, cause over two playthroughs, I don't think I even noticed the art being at all different. Speaking of which, the art was really well done, and I think it did a good job of differentiating each of them so that I could tell at a glance which was which when scrolling through the terminal.

Biocapital by SunJet 2025-10-24T03:37:46Z

Thanks for uploading! A very visually striking game that I think has some interesting mechanics and room to explore with those. It was pretty tough to control though, both the character and the chunks, it was hard to feel like I got them where I wanted or needed them to be. This was especially noticeable when firing at the worms - there were a couple times it just ended up stuck on their fangs as opposed to knocking them back into the walls. Other than that, it was a pretty neat game. Think its great how squishy all the effects made everything feel.

Full Marbles Universe by Norah 2025-10-17T03:22:50Z

Thanks for uploading! I was pretty bad at it, but it was a fun time that I really think could be expanded on a lot if you wanted to. I think the school yard vibe is perfect for the mood and the character designs are really expressive! The minigame itself was pretty interesting, but I kinda felt left wanting more from the wager part of it. There were a couple times I was able to fight (and earn higher level marbles) without wagering anything of my own, too. Really dig this, and am looking forward to if you decide to work on it some more!

Also, I managed to get stuck in this one area, too.marblesStuck.png

A Lifelong Hobby by Derek Glennon 2025-10-08T05:24:04Z

Thanks for uploading! I'm someone who's only recently coming back to this aspect of my childhood, so a lot of this feels very relatable to me. It was very fun to see and work out all the references, and I think it's awesome you still have those custom cards from way back when! The little minigames were definitely the smallest part of this whole experience, but I think some extra feedback on the lawnmower part would be nice - a couple times it froze when I hadn't thought I hit a rock, and I started thinking the game itself was freezing.

The art was very nice, and quite a few of the flavor texts got a good chuckle out of me, too.

All on Red by John Thomas Lamb 2025-10-08T23:39:49Z

Thanks for uploading! I think the game has a very strong atmosphere to it basically immediately. A lot of the visuals seem pretty well polished. I think the game could definitely use some more instruction though - since I could operate the main game from the original perspective, it took me a pretty embarrassingly long time to realize I could shift my focus to get a better view of the betting board, roulette wheel, and the waiter, so my first few runs had me questioning when I was going to get to be able to deal with the upgrade system.

Also I really liked that first devil's dancing and messing around with everything on the table. It's always fun to just knock stuff around.

Grabby by tangling 2025-10-08T22:42:10Z

Thanks for uploading! Really liked the mechanic of this game and quickly trying to wager what I should keep holding on to based on both what it would be worth and what I could actively continue holding down on the keyboard. One thing that caused some strife (though it's not really on your hands) is keyboard limits on registering simultaneously held keys. It was pretty frustrating feeling like I could add another item onto my list and then be technologically incapable. It led to moments where I was capped out on keys, and was just waiting for the rest of the day to finish out. There was a couple issues with text placement when playing in fullscreen, but otherwise the visuals were super charming, and I liked seeing the different references in the collector items.

Pigment of your Imagination by Ranarh 2025-10-24T04:33:03Z

Thanks for uploading! Super atmospheric. Took me a while to gather that I wasn't supposed to be clicking, but I think I got the hang of it eventually. It was a bit tough to tell which I was supposed to avoid once I got to the darker colors like purple and black, but then again, it kind of made a pseudo-difficulty curve (or maybe a very intentional one). I think my mural ended up coming out pretty nicely!

EMBERS WILDFIRE by einfach 2025-10-23T23:42:16Z

Thanks for uploading! The gameplay itself was simple, but I think the narrative goal more than made up for it. The mood of the game felt very eerie and tense, and there were a few moments where I could really feel myself tense up in response to the game. I think the main thing it might need would be some additional clarity. On the last level, there was some text to suggest a changing of the game loop, but it seemed to play just like the other levels, or if there was something different, I don't think I understood exactly what it was going for. Additionally, I think the ending sequence could use a bit more time on each page, some of them went by too fast for me to finish reading them, let alone have the time to let the reality of it sit in. I liked some of the details with the animations as well - especially with the player character, I liked that there was a bit of a delay before fully turning around so it kind of felt more like I was actually in the process of turning as opposed to just snapping to face the direction I'm moving.

Beelines by raysplaceinspace 2025-10-08T04:37:14Z

Thanks for uploading! This game was a little addicting! Having a leaderboard really stoked my competitive fire and kept me trying for better and better times, and the game is short and sweet enough to make it feel worth replaying several times over. There's a part of me that wishes the hitboxes were a little more forgiving though - there were a couple times I felt like I drew over a piece of pollen, only to look back and see it all by its lonesome with all my bees flying away. The visuals were simple, but very effective with the soft glowing, and the music was a bop. Looking forward to seeing what else you can make with your custom engine!

Neon Doll Maker by Soleil 2025-10-24T01:26:04Z

Thanks for uploading! It's very cute! There were a good number of options for you to play around with, and I appreciated the ability to do so even if it wasn't exactly physically possible (a floating eye doll would kill on the market). I may be in the minority, but the rotation felt weird, I was expecting it to more the opposite way that it did. The other dolls on the back of the box were also pretty funny.

METALOBAZA by Dunitru 2025-10-24T01:41:56Z

Thanks for uploading! I think you have a strong idea here with the stacking transformations, and I think there's a lot of exploration you could do following this idea along with more puzzles just based on this. Unfortunately, I think it ends up being pretty easy to soft-lock yourself and need to reset, which feels pretty punishing since there aren't any checkpoints. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it much further than the start of the second level (there was a gap I assume I should be able to jump through, but even in first form it seems like my hitbox is too big for it, and I couldn't find any secret holes around in my second form). Smoothing out some of the transitions would also help, since there were a couple times I would pick up/drop a tool, but it wouldn't visually update my form until a little bit later. Looking forward to where you end up going with this.

Color Collector by zuoyueren_kiara 2025-10-24T05:11:30Z

Thanks for uploading! Super cute game! Definitely wish there was some room to tinker around with the colors and the puzzle order, but especially for your first jam game this is pretty good! Would love to see more of this and see what kind of puzzles someone could make using this kind of mechanic.
