Super cool! I like the subtle rotation the character makes as it jumps  The only thing that bothered me after a while was the camera shake, but it's probably just me (I suffer a bit from photosensitivity so that might be it). All in all, very well done.

The effect of jumping is super cool!!!

What an awesomely retro platformer! The visual styling was great, especially the use of color accents. Even the death effects providing a flash of color was an inspired choice!

I agree with the other commenter that the camera shake was a bit excessively done: it can be great to emphasize a hard hit, but it probably shouldn't shake so high every single time the player jumped (and especially not if you were jumping to a high ledge, which means you're landing with almost no speed). Having it scale with the speed of impact could've made the shake feel much more natural (and also further emphasized hard landings!).

Still, nicely done--great work on the art, the sound, and the platforming feel!

Really polished movement, jumping has an impact and the background track is really nice. Fun game!

It's a very enjoyable game, with pleasant but slightly loud sounds.

Really nice looking one-bit art! I agree with manabreak above that the camera shake started to get to be too much after awhile - I don't suffer from photosensitivity, but such a heavy effect happening every time you jumped started feeling a bit over-stimulating near the end of the game

My only other complaint was the extreme low light made it really hard to see where you were supposed to go sometimes - On the level with the two elevator blocks, I spent forever looking high and low for the way forward, because I couldn't see the switch from the left hand platform that had the key. Lowering the intensity of that effect might have helped make the game more readable

Otherwise, this was very well put together! I didn't run into any technical issues, the audio was nice and crunchy, the death animation was very cool looking, and there was a lot of juice packed in! Well done! :)

Nice job! I like the way the darkness works. It really brings the mood. I ran into an issue on a mac where it only really works on Firefox, though. I tried Chrome and Safari before it worked on Firefox. I enjoy the atmospheric music, too. My only real complaint is that I got really frustrated on the one jump to get back up to the red switch to repeatedly try to catch the door before it closes.

Overall a really good job!

I love the black-and-white style that only adds new colors for the important things in each level. The secret passages are all well hidden, with just the right amount of clues to find them fairly. I’ve seen many similar platformer puzzles before, but playing one with such a cool aesthetic gives new life to it. Well done!

Lots of impact in those sounds, would be nice to have an option to control it. Really nice little simple platformer, I'm impressed with what you were able to do without over complicating your character.

Thanks for uploading! The visuals of this were very nice, I really liked the little darkness effect, and thought it was pretty cool that it sort of followed you around rather than sticking right on you. Kind of felt like your eyes were readjusting to the dark or something like that. It seems I wasn't in the minority that kinda felt off about the jump effect. I liked it in general, but it definitely felt weird getting the same shake from a short hop and a leap of faith. It was a nice little curve of stuff getting introduced to the player as well, which made things pretty easy to approach. Also great music.

Love the music and think it adds a lot to the atmosphere along with the 'fog of war'. I got a bit lost at the end with finding the key that was up and to the left of the elevator column and was a bit confused about the gate from the timed fall because I made it to the final corridor via the secret elevator first. I'm not that big of a fan of platformers in general (metroidvanias in particular) but I thought this controlled great, especially for a game jam game!

Good game, I liked the art and the music was nice and added to the atmosphere same with the darkness effect.

I really liked the visual effects and sounds for the jumping, it felt really polished. Unfortunately I'm not great at platformers, especially when it comes to timing jumps, so I didn't get terribly far. I managed to get the key in the area with the first red switch and then got stuck. But that's definitely a *me* problem! Felt very solid overall

Whooo, this is so much fun.Thank you!.

Just finished it, good stuff! Loved the puzzles, graphical effects, and sound. I also loved the death animation...I killed myself a few times to see it again and then died a few more times on accident after that.

(Using a Mac, I ended up needing to use Firefox over Chrome and Safari for it to render correctly. Just a quick note for anyone using one if they run into issues.)

Nice game!

It really feels very polished with this nice music and graphics. I quickly got lost :joy: , and it quickly got quite difficult to find where I hadn't been yet.

A nice game overall, well done!

kanagg 2025-10-21 09:04

Great entry, but there needs to be a camera shake off button  makes me dizzy. The visuals and audio create a nice mood and everything feels very polished.

In one level the way to the finish could be a bit shorter, so you don't just run for the sake of running

Really fun, and so many cool juicy effects in there. I've never experienced such intense juice while landing in a game before (in a good way) 😃.

oller125 2025-10-24 12:28

Great entry. I love the mostly monochrome style but with the occasional color accents. The amount of polish it already is great even though it was done within 3 days.

martingonn 2025-10-24 15:45

Loved everything about this game, but the jump mechanics felt a bit weird and required some getting used to. Great job though!
