The game looks really nice and is super fun to play. The only little bit of criticism I have is that I keep accidentally pressing Space when trying to jump.
BTW, web player seem to be broken.

Cool Concept! I like your approach on the theme. Actually I made a game about ghost as well! Overall your game is pretty good! I like the art style and effects although there are some bugs in the ghosts actions (they are not repeating my actions as expected)
@tom-kun could you elaborate? We experienced no issues in playtesting. It would help if you could tell us how they are not following your movements.
I especially like the mechanic, really feel like that brings something new to the table. The game is fun, at times difficult. Cool!!
.
Hello, the web version seems to be broken. errors -> Invalid or unexpected token; unityFramework is not defined
*edit: browser = chrome
@daniel-jenikovsky I'll look into this
Edit: Fixed!
Very fun, a really nice play on the sort of time loop mechanic. The web player seems to not work for me, but everything is smooth on the Windows version.
Really good game and idea, the graphics are really cute, and the gameplya is fun!! gg
@sean-holloway The web build doesn't seem to be working for anyone. We have looked into it but have yet to find the problem. Thanks for letting us know.
oh my god, that is ridiculously hard, if that was the intention... good job.
I'd say the really only thing i don't like is that your timing has to be spot on if you want to pass later levels and once you have the puzzles themselves figured out it comes down to counting a timer and moving at certain seconds. There's a lot of moving parts though so that isn't exactly easy.
I would say the music choice wasn't really what i would expect for this type of game, but what can you do?
The art direction is phenomenal its very pleasing to look at. One thing though is that the lighting gets really bright if you have too many ghost die in the same spot.
Personally I had a lot of fun, now please excuse me while I stop thinking for a bit.
Amazing game. 5 stars overall. I love the designs (specially the main character with different hats, that's hilarious), the mechanics are clear, the controls are smooth, it fits the theme. I can't find a thing I don't like. I reach level 2-5
I love the graphics, the sounds and music, but this game was insanely laggy on my machine, I was getting constant like 3 fps, and almost a second of input lag. I don't know what could be causing this but it was unplayable. I played a lot of more graphically intensive games this jam and had no problems... There were many games with the same idea of ghosts copying your character this jam, and the puzzles I could do were very simple "get to the next button and press space", but I didn't get very far because of the lag. Since I couldn't play this correctly I'm not going to rate, sorry...
neat little game - the controls are a little bit weired sometimes and i hit too often space :D but good job - really nice sound and music.
@wolfier That last level isn't meant to be beaten. It's possible, but it was only beaten once and it took >45 minutes
@fupi Yeah sorry. It can get kind of laggy at some points due to some of the graphics.
@fupi I've released a new version of the game with a quality setting so you can play a the html quality level.
*(I don't think this breaks the rules, if it does then I'll just put back the old version)*
Heya! Thanks for submitting your game to my stream at [wwww.twitch.tv/drjavasaurus](www.twitch.tv/drjavasaurus)! To recap, you should disable the compression settings when building the web build in Unity, it might resolve issues with the web build.
That being said, really quircky platformer ! Love the puzzles and the reset mechanic is implemented in a very elegant manner, reducing the feeling of "punishment" when you messed up a puzzle. The first couple of levels are quite easy to blaze through, but they also introduce the mechanics of the game in a very adequate fashion. Yet the difficulty ramps up to the point where you almost need to draw out on paper what you'll need to do to reach the target. Well executed, thumbs up !
@javasaurus Again, thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize how hard the levels could be until streamers played them. We'll fix the webGL.
@javasaurus @oneiromancer WebGL version is out.
Nice job! Very well put together given the timeframe! I think this could easily be expanded upon to create a full game!
I've played until level 2-4 and not only I liked the puzzles, but I've really appreciated the small details as well, like the character's costumes.
Well-known concept, but the execution was really great! Nice levels and graphics,
Heyo, I played your game on stream! Here's the vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765804766
Thanks for submitting your game!
lovely game. i like it a lot.
10/10 would wear a different hat again. I love the hold R to restart animation to avoid accidental restarts.
Really nice concept and elaboration, nice work guys!
The lights effects looks amazing (And having the posibility to chose between a HQ or NQ is super nice)
Gameplay is super fun, loved the idea, and pretty well related with the theme as well
Perfect graphics aswell, great work
Really strange difficulty curve; most of the levels felt like 'just sit on all the buttons and press spacebar', then suddenly over a period of ~3 levels it jumped to me needing precise timing across multiple lives in order to manage it. Quit on 'uhhh....' after accidentally sitting on the button that would block my path at the wrong point in time several attempts in a row, requiring me to restart the level. Wish I could 'erase' a ghost, or at least not save a ghost for a particular life.
Liked the idea though, and generally pretty well put together.
[I think I mentioned this on stream too,](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765905747?t=00h06m30s) generally I feel like game mechanics that revolve around you killing yourself are kind of tedious, but this one was a welcome exception! I think what makes a big difference is that the levels are all single-screen, and the reset time is super minimal.
The puzzles definitely get super tricky near the end, but I actually think the ramp up to them was nice and gradual. Overall, well done!
Glad you made a WebGL build. It has a nice concept and its also challenging to solve the levels. Good Job!
A nice take on the multiple lives through the level puzzle theme. I *absolutely love* the player sprites, and especially how they are customized and retain their customization as cute little ghosts. Made the game for me.
This is the highest game i have rated. Overall it was very good, no weird bugs or glitches, no real recommendations to make. It was very fun, and challenging :)
Had a blast! Solid game!
Great puzzle game with timing...still stuck on the last level? great graphic feels with the cool ghosts hanging around and having a good time watching you die. Great job!
My kinda game in that you did a last level worth the challenge. I had fun (as you saw on stream). We also basically made the same game lol. so ggs. 5/5 for theme LOL
Nice job!
Overall extremely well designed and polished game. Best "ghost" loop mechanic from any puzzle genre entries i've played so far. Thanks for challenging me to beat the last level, idk if I would have without the incentive. took over 30 mins to figure it out. (read your post on the front page)
Five stars for the theme! Amazing interpretation that is well executed! I enjoyed playing the game and it was well put together. Nice music, great graphics, and a good experience overall. The only thing to polish would be the movement around buttons as it is sometimes a bit tricky to stand where you want to be without overshooting. Overall, brilliant game!
Quite a cool game and concept, though some of the levels have unnecessary buttons or areas that are a little strange.
A pretty polished implementation of such puzzles with player ghosts. Art is fine as well as sounds.
Extremely polished game! It looks very nice and the controls are on point. Keep it up!
Nice game, i enjoyed playing it. Loved the artwork and the little unique touches to all the player ghosts
Very nice game, good gameplay and full of great little touches - I especially enjoyed the hats!
Really enjoyed your tutorial, well done!
Like it a lot. I was always tempted to press space to jump, even if the tutorial specifically states not to at the begining, but got used to it quite quickly. The puzzles are interesting, but they can be quite messy if you don't know what you're doing. Great entry overall. Cheers.
This is so good, incredible job.
The mechanic is very common in this jam, but this is one of the best example I've seen. Slick controls, cute and clear art and sounds, Simple and progressive puzzles.
I loved the accessory each character has to make a difference.
Thanks for the game 💕
Nice game. Well done. Thank you
Nice mechanics, well implemented levels, cool sounds and music, nice simple graphics.
I couldn't resist to spawn ghosts like no tomorrow till the guide spirit said "no no no"
Great game! Well done.
Cute and fun platformer. I love the great usage of Unity new 2D Lighting system togheter with post processing, which gived thee overall mood of the scene. And even thought we're in the dungeon, the colors and bloom seems to make the place actually cosy. Love the different iterations of character clothing each time you die and reset. Music is very simple and rather ambient, but there's no need for fanfares in this type of games. I enjoyed it and felt rellaxed trying to figure the puzzles out. Great job!
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!

Lord, that's so sweet! ^_^ Game mechanics at a high level. "+" to the guy in the mask - we are for safety! xD Good job guys.
Was a nice concept and interesting - the main feedback I'd have is to scale the difficulty up in a more linear fashion - it felt a little up and down, with some later levels feeling easier than the previous! Also, perhaps a cleaner way to display the connection between the button and what it controls, so less lines are across the screen. Some good puzzles though - nice how timing impacted things.
Your game was played on my stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos ) on 10/13. Thank you for sharing your game with us! You can find the timestamp of when your game was played here: https://tinyurl.com/yy4oycvv The queue was empty, so I moved on to the games marked "only play when present"
I liked it! We had also used the ghost mechanic for our game, but your puzzles are better.
This was a really neat game with excellent presentation and a nice tutorial the stepped through some important basics. Given the novelty of the mechanic, I appreciate the game's slow approach at introducing one new mechanic at a time, and allowing the player to experiment, practice, and improve upon their prior knowledge. I do also think, though, the game has a bit of a pacing problem, where early levels are far too easy, and levels like 2-6 are far too difficult. It did feel like early portions of the game was a bit of a drag, and while up to 2-6, the difficulty starts to ramp up nicely, 2-6 became a wall I just couldn't overcome. The timing necessary to jump right as a prior ghost lands on a switch was rather demanding, given the tight platforming.
It would be nice to see some level of customization in regards to controls, since it wouldn't surprise me if someone kept entering space by accident. For example, maybe a button to accept a certain action as "recorded," and another that kills the player, but doesn't create a ghost throughout the run that player made. In fact, I would prefer it if the player plain died from spikes, clipping into boxes, etc. without a ghost recording of it, since most of the time, said death was an accident.
I also would have preferred a taller jump, and a more lenient ghost platforming/coyote time. Platforming kind of proved to be more difficult in this game than I thought was necessary.
@omiya-games thanks for the feedback! The level order is screwed up. It is something we will fix if we ever do anything post jam. 2-6 is the last level and is not really meant to be beaten. It takes lots of time to beat so much so that I have only completed it once and that was after we submitted. As for the controls, yeah, they kinda suck. That is the worst complaint of our game. The jump height was already raised and it almost broke some levels so we stopped raising it. Thanks for playing and taking the time to leave a review!
Great work! I've seen my fair share of "use your own ghost to progress" games, but this one has particularly good level design and the puzzles are fun to play. The difficulty buildup is good. Skill jumps had about the right difficulty level for me.
