LD59 — Signal

Kiipu by Zathnic 2026-04-29T17:46:37Z

A simple but really pleasant platformer. No complex mechanics, but everything it does have works perfectly-tight and never overloaded. The most obvious thing is that the art could use a bit of polish; otherwise it’s a brisk, fun playthrough.

DIG_POD by a333 2026-04-21T11:45:32Z

It’s honestly hard to believe this was made in 72 hours. So many things are done really well: destructible environments, procedural generation, and surprisingly solid enemy AI. The balance is also pretty good for an incremental — though focusing mining upgrades first feels a bit too optimal, probably because early threats are limited and don’t really ramp up until the boss, so weapon/armor upgrades aren’t as necessary early on. Still, this already feels like a strong, working prototype that could absolutely be polished into something viral.

Free wristband (lots of work) by Meta-link 2026-04-29T18:04:05Z

A solid compo entry. Great work on the sound design and visuals. Gameplay-wise, it’s not immediately clear what you’re supposed to do at the start, but after a while it clicks-and once it does, the game feels noticeably better.

Waiter Waiter by block97 2026-04-21T21:00:06Z

A fun game - the shaky hands feel weirdly perfect for this kind of situation.

Wool Street by acid 2026-04-27T20:59:55Z

A very cozy incremental game, with pleasant visuals and sound. The gameplay feels good too. My only small note is that the start feels a bit slow - for a jam, it might be better to show more of the content a little sooner. Still, it’s a very enjoyable game overall.

Signal Steve by Isaac Hisey 2026-04-23T19:42:24Z

A cool puzzle game. The 8-bit style is executed really well. I only felt it could have used a bit more dynamics, but overall it’s a great game.

Sound Signals by pres2300 2026-04-22T21:21:13Z

An interesting concept with an excellent take on the theme. Both the audio and visuals are at a strong level.

Space Record Studio by kayrum 2026-04-25T19:54:55Z

An excellent meditative game with calm gameplay, strong visuals, and pleasant sound. It really drew me in.

n 0 m i n a l by 0x0961h 2026-04-21T06:09:21Z

Great vibe and atmosphere.

Jim's Quest for Birthday present by Sobigdrasil 2026-04-27T15:59:35Z

Super chill game. The soft visuals are excellent, and the pleasant sound design together with the simple gameplay create a really great vibe.

CONNECTION by P1x3lc0w 2026-04-27T21:10:11Z

Good project. I like the idea of guarding an objective while looting the surrounding area - it creates a dynamic gameplay loop. The graphics and visuals are solid enough for a compo entry.

Overall, it’s the kind of game you can easily get hooked on, though it could definitely benefit from some extra polish.

Average League by N.O.X 2026-04-22T20:40:02Z

Good art and sound. The gameplay isn’t the easiest to grasp at first, but once you spend a little time with it, it starts to click.

Cadence of Glob by Orjan 2026-04-27T15:56:23Z

Fun game. Nice sound and visuals, and the theme is well explored. Great work!

Signal Fading by Animaster 2026-04-29T18:25:57Z

Simple visuals and clear, straightforward gameplay - exactly what you want for a 3-day jam. It really pulled me in. Great work!

WiFi Trouble by rangoiv 2026-04-21T19:52:47Z

A pleasant, cozy puzzle game. It’s intuitive and easy to pick up, with solid visuals and audio. The only thing I felt was missing was a bit more variety - for example, different types of routers with different signal shapes.

Pied Piper TD by Onizik 2026-04-29T17:56:04Z

A great TD concept - the core idea is strong. That said, with the aggro mechanic I’d like to see some risk on the player’s side too (e.g., HP), plus a clearer upgrade path: speed, aggro range, and player power-ups to go with it. Overall though, the concept is excellent.

The game could use some polish - there are issues with spiders getting stuck. But for a 3-day jam, it’s a really solid piece of work.

Aye Aye, Can't See! by Avhatar 2026-04-23T19:29:11Z

Отличная игра. Но к управлению нужно привыкнуть.

White noise by Nikiroz 2026-04-23T20:13:32Z

Excellent visuals with ambient sound that complements them really well. I’m a big fan of snowy settings, and this game is definitely worth checking out.

Lumiric Chase by Ricna 2026-04-21T06:19:55Z

There are some audio issues and a few bugs (the Settings button inside the Settings screen overlaps the menu), and the gameplay isn’t always easy to read — but it’s still playable.

ROV-R by Abiral 2026-04-20T19:40:52Z

It would be nice to add a button to reset the current command sequence, just in case of a misclick. Other than that, it's a pretty good game!

Holy Light by Tvorojok 2026-04-23T19:26:37Z

Визуальный стиль и аудио на высоте, правда дальше первого экрана не получается пройти, жму на "D" но ничего не происходит.

Catch the signals by Fifut 2026-04-25T19:30:06Z

A good concept and an excellent Compo entry.

Mixed Signals by universeflow 2026-04-21T11:15:37Z

Third music game in a row — truly a musical game jam 😄 But seriously, I don’t even want to be too serious about this one: the funny sprites, the simple yet consistent UI, and the straightforward gameplay really pulled me in.

Incoming by kremlebot 2026-04-21T19:10:47Z

Amazing work!

rescue signal by OldDog 2026-04-21T06:57:58Z

Great incremental game. It’s a bit of a shame that the character progression feels a little slow - I wanted to get to the full range of content sooner. Still, the game really hooked me. Great work!

On Ivy Boulevard by python-b5 2026-04-25T19:26:21Z

An excellent game. The music and visuals create a strong atmosphere, and the gameplay is simple in a good way. It did feel a little too long for a jam game, in my opinion, but it’s still excellent work overall.

Man On Fire by debugman18 2026-04-22T20:45:48Z

This game is fire.

Sleep ArthonBru, Sleep! by hotaloca 2026-04-21T11:07:06Z

Not usually a fan of rhythm/music games, but this one is put together really well. I didn’t always understand what I was supposed to press, yet over time the chaotic sounds start merging into a single melody — and that’s honestly pretty fun. Nice game!

Sky signal by Kit Gorn 2026-04-22T20:54:13Z

Одна из немногих рабочих 3д игр. В целом визуал хороший, единственное замечание - ставь по умолчанию звук на 30-40%, со старта бьет по ушам.

Beacon of Hope by Mascoll 2026-04-22T21:46:37Z

A gorgeous visual style and atmosphere. The puzzles are simple, yet still varied enough to stay engaging. I ended up getting completely absorbed in it for quite a while.

Broken Jukebox by Pimeko 2026-04-21T06:28:26Z

Great song selection. The gameplay is very simple, but it’s executed really well — I enjoyed it!

V.P.N. by torte478 2026-04-23T19:01:15Z

Очень хорошая игра, ничего лишнего.

Fading Echo 余音轨迹 by JerryWest 2026-04-29T18:11:13Z

An excellent metroidvania. Lovely visuals and great gameplay. Some sections are genuinely challenging, but the overall balance feels solid. The only thing I missed was a volume/settings option - otherwise, fantastic work.

Traffic Control by Alec Cunningham 2026-04-21T05:57:55Z

Primal chaos

Tower Signal by Pierre-Marie 2026-04-23T20:01:15Z

An excellent clicker game. The music is subtle and unobtrusive, and the visuals are pleasant. Really great work.

Radio Satellite by Saffwong 2026-04-25T19:12:58Z

An interesting idea. The only things I felt were a bit lacking were music and optimization, though that’s understandable for a jam. Overall, good work.

Super Space Rescue Game by ofoof 2026-04-22T21:10:06Z

A good game with simple but fairly polished gameplay. The only thing I really felt was missing was audio. Overall, it’s pleasant to play.

AGENTS RHYTHM & RAID by Nadia Pixel 2026-04-21T21:42:54Z

Excellent visuals and music. The gameplay feels smooth and intuitive, with the rhythm section adding a nice bit of variety. It feels fresh, and the game really pulled me in.

RESCUE by Petr Vejchoda 2026-04-22T21:05:06Z

An interesting concept. In some ways, our games feel similar - I guess we both ended up making that association between signals and rescue in a snowy setting. The gameplay is interesting, though the visuals feel a bit chaotic at first, even if you do get used to them over time.

Signal Slasher by Tkap1 2026-04-29T18:21:32Z

Great game - the first one in this jam where I actually rage-quit and hit Alt+F4 😄 It gets really hard in places, but it’s still doable. The character control feels interesting and unique. Visuals and audio are good, btw for a gameplay-focused game that’s not a dealbreaker. Overall, an excellent project.

Outpost by henk 2026-04-22T21:16:36Z

A nice tamagotchi-style game with very pleasant visual and controls.

Hold The Signal by Dywanix 2026-04-21T19:02:50Z

I’m not usually a fan of tower defense games, but this one was easy to understand and felt intuitive. There’s a bit of an unexpected difficulty spike after the fourth wave, which caught me off guard. Still, it’s definitely the kind of game you can get pleasantly absorbed in for 5-10 minutes.

Many Wearing Rapiers are Afraid of Goosequills by j3m 2026-04-23T19:54:56Z

Excellent visual style and music. It reminded me a bit of Reigns in terms of the variety of choices. The game really pulled me in.

From the Abyss by Megurt 2026-04-23T19:14:51Z

A pleasant visual style and excellent sound. The gameplay is good, though it felt a little overtuned in terms of difficulty. Still, the game really pulled me in.

Radio Silence by PaulMag 2026-04-21T18:45:57Z

I really liked the idea, and the visuals were done well, even though the audio was limited to SFX only. The telescope zoom was a fun touch, and overall interacting with objects felt nice and polished. If I had to point out one thing, the gameplay felt a little too mellow, and I think it could benefit from a bit more dynamics, even just in the character’s movement. Overall though, it’s a really solid base for a game - with a bit more polish, it could turn into something very nice.

LD59 SIGNAL STRIKE by GARYglhf 2026-04-25T19:36:52Z

Отличная игра, прекрасная динамика, хороший визуал. Напомнила старые сеговские игры, отсылка к которым есть в названии.

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-25T19:47:33Z

A wonderful rhythm game. The minimalist visuals and audio are more than enough, and the gameplay feels dynamic and engaging. The game really pulled me in. One small issue is that the large number of objects can cause occasional micro-stutters, which is especially noticeable in a rhythm game, but for a 3-day jam it’s still quite understandable. Overall, excellent work.

Bloodbane: The Crimson Nocturne by HDVR02 2026-04-23T06:16:42Z

Tune by DeathandRepublic 2026-04-23T18:56:33Z

Nice game!

m01d by gujiufeng 2026-04-21T20:13:01Z

A truly unique experience. At first, I honestly had no idea what was going on, but I decided to give it a proper chance and dig into it - and I’m really glad I did.

THE MYSTERIOUS DEVICE by Itero Proto 2026-04-21T11:00:22Z

Interesting game — nice UI and a consistent art style.

INTRUSICUL by vimix 2026-04-21T19:25:23Z

Отличная стилистика, повествование. Немного перекошен звук, особенно SFX, то громче, то тише, но не критично. И порой черный экран секунд на 5-10. Но общий вайб покрывает эти недочеты.

Through the Dark Forest by tweekus 2026-04-23T20:21:30Z

A very meditative game. Nothing feels unnecessary. The pixel art style is pleasant, and the overall experience is clean and focused. The only thing I felt was missing was some music to strengthen the atmosphere even more. Still, it’s a good work.

Cipher Tower by Teaminister 2026-04-21T12:10:07Z

The game looks and sounds great - and most importantly, those two aspects really complement each other. The only thing I missed was clearer highlighting of interactable objects (a simple outline would work perfectly).

Gameplay-wise: there’s a lot of mechanics, which might be a bit much for the average player who’s ready to spend 5-6 minutes, and for a 3-day jam it’s hard to properly tie everything together. Give this project another week or two of polish and it would be amazing. Either way, it’s definitely a worthwhile entry - and please add an itch.io link, I’d love to follow the project’s progress if you continue it.

Signal Keeper by IndiePanda 2026-04-23T19:05:01Z

A fun collection of minigames wrapped in a great presentation. The music and overall visual style are both very enjoyable. Clean, focused, and without anything unnecessary.

Signal Resonance by amo 2026-04-23T19:50:25Z

Excellent visual style and music. I really liked it.

Saving Private Morse by fgreeman 2026-04-22T21:26:27Z

A good concept - it reminded me of those old little electronic games from McDonald’s Happy Meals.

Signal Through the Blizzard by anku 2026-04-21T07:41:03Z

@itero-proto Yeah, it’s survival at its core 😄 But midway we went “what if we prioritize mood?” - so we focused more on atmosphere and a simple narrative rather than deep mechanics

Signal Through the Blizzard by anku 2026-04-21T07:55:43Z

@universeflow @hotaloca Thanks a lot for the feedback - really appreciate it!

We’ve updated the game page with a short explanation of how the signals work. In-game we didn’t want to rely on a constant arrow/waypoint from point to point, but the system ended up being less intuitive than we hoped.

As usual… UX takes the blame for everything 😄

Signal Through the Blizzard by anku 2026-04-22T15:45:55Z

@nyxkn, @shivvvy, @pro4, @lexu, @gamebuilder, @nadia-pixel, @el-psy-congroo, @mcbaker Thank you for the kind words. After the judging phase, I’m planning to polish the project a bit more and maybe add some extra gameplay elements that I simply didn’t have time to implement during the jam. I didn’t want to throw in half-working mechanics and hurt the overall impression. Thankfully, you gave me plenty of great ideas to build on in the future.

Signal Through the Blizzard by anku 2026-04-22T20:31:14Z

@noodonge Спасибо за отзыв. В какой-то момент было принято решение отойти от геймплея (остался рудиментарный, с небольшим количеством базовых механик), и попробовать в нарратив\вайб.

Sigma by peped 2026-04-26T13:29:09Z

A very peaceful game with excellent visuals and pleasant sound design. The simple gameplay only adds to its meditative feel. Great vibe overall.

Last Frequency by Catanus 2026-04-25T19:59:18Z

An excellent game. I only wish it had a bit more momentum from the very beginning, especially since it’s a jam game. The repetitive sound could also have been replaced with something more varied. On the other hand, the gameplay is simple but very well executed, and it captures the theme nicely. Definitely a good game.

Occult Ace by IRKAR 2026-04-25T19:06:40Z

An interesting take on a top-down roguelite. The animations feel nice, and the gameplay has a good sense of pace and dynamism.

Blind Signal by Ilya Kr 2026-04-22T21:37:15Z

A great idea, with a strong visual style and solid SFX. The only thing I felt was missing was some music - even a light ambient track would have fit nicely, in my opinion. The gameplay is intuitive and easy to get into.

The Last Crossing by Malorym 2026-04-27T20:53:22Z

Great game - pure chaos, with really good pacing. The art and sound are both solid. I did miss having a dash in such a fast-paced game, and also, your build on itch doesn’t seem to launch. Still, great work overall!

No life detected by shimiki 2026-04-21T18:52:45Z

A good visual novel with pleasant art and excellent sound design that creates a strong melancholic vibe. Surprisingly, the lack of gameplay is more than made up for by the short but touching story. The whole game takes only about 3-5 minutes to finish, which feels just right for a jam game.

RADAR LINE_ by saloid 2026-04-23T19:08:42Z

Хорошая игра. Четкий визуальный стиль, тематическое звуковое сопровождение.

lost in head by ROWLING 2026-04-23T19:19:21Z

A great puzzle game. I really liked the black-and-white visual style.

Read My Signal by Shivvvy 2026-04-22T21:31:41Z

A very charming game with excellent visuals and sound, and polished gameplay.

Red Light Green Light With Teeth by PastMoments 2026-04-21T11:23:49Z

Chill horror game that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Great sound design, and the monster is genuinely fun. Awesome game!

Signolium and the Hunt for the Mutineers, Part 3 by Noob117 2026-04-21T06:36:40Z

Good game. One drawback: the levels are too small, and often it feels impossible to dodge enemy shots. Still, I enjoyed it.

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-21T20:23:07Z

A great rhythm game with cohesive gameplay, and both the audio and visuals are at a strong level. It would be really interesting to see this prototype taken further and polished even more.

We’re Still Here by Lucalunx 2026-04-21T19:34:49Z

A cool concept with potential, but unfortunately it wasn’t really turned into a full game.

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-23T20:07:10Z

An excellent platformer with warm, pleasant visuals and a cozy ambient atmosphere. The gameplay isn’t too difficult, but it still offers a nice bit of challenge.
