Solid entry. The opening gets straight to the point without dragging you through text walls, and having both Russian and English right away is great.
The core lathe physics feel genuinely good because you really sense the weight and friction when the chisel bites into the wood. Sanding and oiling work well to break up the tension before you push too hard and snap something. Having the finished piece pop up as a rotating 3D model with your payout at the end gives a nice sense of progress before the next shift starts.
The only real issue is the audio balance. The sound hits your ears way too loud right from the start, so a quick volume pass would help a lot. Other than that, it nails the vibe and the risk loop keeps you focused the whole run. Well done.
This was so cool. Super smooth running, very clean art and the idea is so unique!
This is really cool, I love the spinning effect on the wood, both while working on it and admiring at the end. The actual lathe-ing I found to be pretty satisfying as well.
Was sanding and oiling meant to be difficult? It didn't seem to me that there was a way to fail that part other than just not doing it.
Really great entry though!
I really like this! The atmosphere is on point, the writing is funny, and using the lathe feels VERY good. I especially like the wooden object models, are those 3d with some fun filter? They look so good! Overall a surprisingly relaxing entry, 10/10 would have шашлык with the boss again.
Plenty of sick leave. Love it! :D has a really nice feel to this. I also watch a lot of wood turning shorts on instagram, so this was a great entry for me :D
I kept all my fingers! Thank you for this little game! It was fun! The music did start to grate a little bit though.
The whole atmosphere of the Soviet factory and the relentless pressure really shines through in how you manage each shift. It's a darkly funny concept that makes the simple task of turning wood feel incredibly stressful and engaging. Great job building such a compelling little world here.
Good gameplay idea, a little hard. Maybe you should make the screen a little larger by default on itch.io. Did not feel the pressure at start, but don't know if breaking and replacing wood count in the score.
You really nailed the feeling of working with a lathe
The Soviet workshop aesthetic and detailed pixel art look fantastic, especially the interactive three dimensional inspection of the turned piece. However, controlling the cutter feels somewhat unresponsive, and losing fingers happens too abruptly without clear visual cues or margin feedback. The initial audio volume was also painfully loud. Still, the clever humor, unique lathe concept, and authentic factory vibe make it a very memorable jam entry.
The fact that i played through the whole game says that it's good. It's actually good. I tested it twice
