Great game, love the gameboy aesthetics. I kept tripping over a snake's tail until finally I reached the laser factory, where I died of a heart attack. I was wondering why the code book never changed and I only ever learned to morse SODU. I tried ... . -.-. .-. . - but nothing happened.

Nice, game, snakes have too big hitbox I think. I didn't get past them. Initially timing the inputs was strange but I managed to get a feel for it

Very Great concept ! i thinked to myself that will be easy, and then SNAKE ! and then electrified barrier haha

Very cute entry! Loved the detail of the guy listening to his talkie. Would have enjoyed with a bit of sound, and sometimes felt like the movement wasn't what I was trying to do, but great game :)

Clever! I think some audio would have helped; I instinctively expect a beeping noise to come from a telegraph button. Getting reset all the way to the start when dying in a game that is so slow to progress is pretty painful as well. Doubly-so given the fact that you hid a very difficult-to-notice mine very close to the end.

The concept is awesome. The graphics are really nice, i love this "1 bit-like screens" parts. I would have add something in the UI to show when a click is considered as "long" and maybe more "turns" because the start is pretty much "going up" (maybe I had some chance on the snakes ?). Great job anyways !

A good concept - it reminded me of those old little electronic games from McDonald’s Happy Meals.

Very good game, simple and efective :100:

Super clean execution of the concept! Great job especially as a first game jam game! I think with just a single sound that you modulate slightly for the Morse input you could have elevated it even more!

I wish there was a checkpoint of each area because once I died in the vertical laser getting back took forever! The obstacles should have some anticipation. Maybe an exclamation mark before something appears would have been nice to give the player more agency.

A button instead of clicking would have also been nice as mashing a key is nicer than clicking at least for me.

The artwork is phenomenal and fits together beautifully especially for a compo game that is super impressive! Keep up the great work!

I also tried sos or ld59 as the secret codes but I guess those are not it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Very cool game! I like the concept a lot. Sometimes I was a bit impatient, so I was clicking too fast when I wanted a long click, thus the guy would go forward instead of left for instance. Totally my fault, but I wondered if some audio queues would have helped me out. You clearly got sound to work as you stated it is sort of an easter egg. Then my question is: why did you not do music / sfx by default? It can really elevate a game.

I came until the laser-thingies inside the building where the ceiling was partially covering the view.

For the rest, I think Domenixius has some great feedback that I can stand behind :-)

Also, congratz on your first LudumDare entry!! How's your experience until now?

like the idea and visuals; i could get though electric fences but not further (i guess it was lasers?), i think you had to add some kind of indication of current input, because sometimes i stucked because i couldnt get if i ended the last sequence of dots and dash and started new or i didnt, i hope i explained it well. also my pc gave me bsod during game) but its okay i think

zettelkasten 2026-05-03 21:19

Very good idea and well executed! I liked the graphics a lot, and also the controls felt smooth and the controls worked really well independently of how fast I was sending the morse code. The only thing is that it's quite an unforgiving game, given that there are no checkpoints.

Cool graphics and idea (though button sound would complete the experience so much but hey you can't have it all). Sadly at part with long tunnel with lasers the interface for some reason gave up and kept registering my left as forward and so I got lasered after some seconds spent in panic, and playing it all over again is a bit too punishing due to game's speed. But still really impressive for your first LD entry.

Cool idea! In terms of input i feel like the threshold for "long" was a bit too high, my long/short/short short/short/long commands were often interpreted ad short/short/short instead so i had to hold the button for what felt like a really long time to get a "long" input to register. In addition to that i feel like having a little audio feedback for pressing the button (beeps and/or clicks perhaps) would have added a lot. Overall good entry and good use of the theme!
