It's a cool game! Nice twist on a classic idea. I love the art, especially the penguin sunglasses. The collectible ice tiles are nice, the water shader is well done. And I found an exploit! If the ice raft gets pushed off-screen to the left, and I hold down the left button, nothing can affect me anymore and I can score infinite points.
Big fan! Simple to understand, on theme, and I could see myself getting lost in floating down the river for a while. The block snapping is satisfying and the movement mechanics are really cool. My only feedback would be to implement a way to tell where the center of the ice is so that you can know when going to a spot you know which way you are going to steer, but maybe that is part of the charm.
Instant favourite on Itch - Everything fits together so well, sound would really be the cherry-on-top.

I was busy dodging the rocks until I realized that you can stack the sunglasses. From that point on it was stacking sunglasses to make my penguin buddy the coolest dude in the iceolation!
From the games in the jam I played, that actually opted into growing the limited space they offered, most made it not possible to control how the playfield would grow. This game on the other hand made it one of the most important things to do right to survive and rank up points - very nice!

I absolutely love the game! The physics of the ice are excellently crafted and respond fluidly to cursor movements. The collisions and bounces are also superbly managed. While it could benefit from some special effects, which can be effortlessly crafted with Sfxr, that minor detail does not detract from the overall experience. The game is nothing short of fantastic—simply incredible!
Quite the fun arcade game. Too bad there is no sound, I feel like a retro arcade soundtrack would have been an amazing fit! But game jams do be like that.
On another note, my penguin may have drowned, but it will never fear the sun again :sunglasses:

There are a lot of little touches that make this game work. Making ice crack before breaking gives you a chance to move to a safe spot, but you have to be quick. I like how you can collect new ice pieces and have some choice over where they get added. And the ice-control physics feel very smooth while still being a challenge to maneuver. Great work!
I totally love this game mechanic, but oh my god this is hard!
Loved the game concept. The platform itself is an obstacle and the life-saver. Enjoyed playing it. Only missing thing was the sound/music.
I'd choose more sun-glasses over ice any day.
The amount of sunglasses can get a bit out of hand, but it's a nice game with some cool details like the water effects.

Very original entry, and a good interpretation of the theme. The ice seems a little out of control, as it sometimes seems impossible to avoid obstacles.

Great finished game! Really like the balance between mobility and platform size. Which also determines how easy it is to crash into rocks. Sunglasses are the best.

Ya gotta love a game that has a penguin wearing sunglasses on top of sunglasses on top of sunglasses.
Very fun and innovative, very well programmed in a short time, the only thing missing was the sound, but I know that was due to the clear weather. Nice graphics. There's another game in this jam that's similar but you have to jump from one iceberg to another as they melt. interesting two similar games. Each one innovated in their own way.
