Looks nice, though had trouble with rotation the lighthouse to begin with, and knowing where I was supposed to direct the ships too. It's a good concept, and definitely hits the brief.

Nice!! I like the characters, I actually found them adding to the game instead of padding out its runtime (It was cool when the unidentified ship was brought up on the radio). The game loop was pretty cool and I'm surprised you guys managed to sync the 2D map up with the perspective of the lighthouse tower.
Cool implementation of the "lighthouse view" and the Minimap.
I like that the radio "shows" the music beats. It would have been nice if the frequence in the lighthouse also have been animated and not just a still image.
Apart from that the lighthouse controls are good, because everything is clear to read. :)
很酷的点子,也喜欢这种海边的氛围
I love it. The characters are interesting, the graphics are amazing and its just fun to play
What a breath of fresh air! Like.. literally! This was such a chill experience (even though the one level where I had to balance two of the boats not crashing into another one was a bit of a close call but really nice! I personally did only quickly rad the dialog of it all at a glance but I think this could with some more polish and a few more boat types/mechanics be easily its own quite chill game! I really enjoyed routing them, eventhough I at first though I must guide them all the way to their exit and not just out of the way of one boat.. but once I figured out they find their way on their own it was all good, but that would be a little hick up to clarify a bit more I think, should you choose to continue developing on this game! I really enjoyed the visuals, the chill vibes with the music and all! Really nice! :3
Well presented, I liked the art and the music. Gameplay-wise not the most engaging, but an interesting enough storyline to see it through! Very neat overall.
hello my lighthouse friend, very wellmade narrative!
Really wonderful art aesthetic and I enjoyed the story/humor in the storyline. Nicely done!
The art looks very fresh and clean.Love the style!
One of the strongest games i've seen so far, great humor, i feel so cozy playing this! Really awesome job, and thanks for stopping the boat while i'm making decisions <3
I like this romantic seaside atmosphere. It was a pleasure to play.
really 10/10 game. Really fun, good innovation and everything just works though the game broke once on day 3. Really well done.
The theme is well implemented. The 3D environment with illustrations is also very well done.
Cool game! I beat it. In addition to everything else people said, I really thought the pacing was excellent and I think I could learn from that. I heard somebody say you should be adding something new every 4 minutes to keep people engaged and I feel like you hit that timing for me. It was pretty art -> what are these characters up to? -> oh I am guiding ships -> ok im getting a bit bored -> oh INTERESING what's this mysterious thing, and so on. Really nicely done!
Well done! I especially like the story telling and the overall look and feel of the game!
This is a really unique entry. The radio cutscenes before each day and giving the signals to the ships to ensure they don't crash into land. I never would've thought of lighthouses as signals but it makes perfect sense. Took me a bit to figure out but once I did it was intuitive and fun to play. Well done!
Beautifully made, great art and gameplay :)
Wow, this is awesome! I loved the chill vibes when listening to the radio, the lighthouse directing mechanic was awesome, the story was great. Keep on making games!
This was a really interesting jam game! I like the focus on narrative, and the lighthouse aesthetic is nice. Lovely watercolour visuals and chill beachy radio tunes. The back-and-forth between the dialogue segments in the day and the gameplay at night struck a good balance between chill vibes and tension. The writing was good too - each character had a unique voice, and you built the mystery well. Really tested my French knowledge, haha
I do think you could improve a few things. The ship-redirecting gameplay is a good idea (and the sync between the window and console views is super impressive!) but I found it a bit off in practice. The mechanics took a bit to grasp at first - from what I gather ships can navigate on their own in the light, but otherwise I have to direct them? Having to enter the ship codes is clunky and I often lost just because I fumbled with the dials. I was never fully clear what the win/lose conditions were - I assumed ships had to reach some set destination, but you could actually just send obstructing ships out into the blue and the game counted it as a win. The game also never really accelerated in difficulty - in fact, the final level (which was supposedly set in a hurricane) only had two ships and was easier than one of the previous ones.
The story also lacked a bit of payoff, I think. The mystery was cool with the ghost ships and crackly messages, and I liked the dilemma of whether to help this mysterious voice - but the game doesn't give you a choice, you have to help it. Then when you do the game just ends? No wrap-up for the missing teenagers, or radio pseudoscience, or that corporate guy who joined our channel. I felt like there should have been some ramifications for helping the AI, but there weren't. I'm curious if there was more of an ending that got cut during the jam.
Very nice work overall! It was fun to play something more story-based for a change.
@sam-gorman Wow thank you very much for such a detailled comment, it's really heartwarming to have real feedbacks and critics like that ! And yeah all your points are valids, and we are pretty much aware of everything. About the ship guiding mechanic being a bit confusing, it's not about light or anything. At first we wanted the player to micromanage the ships all the way to the end, but it was not really funny and really repetitive. So we changed to only giving one instruction and then the ship could sail on it's own, but it became too easy, so we did a weird mix, where the player had to guide for half the path of the ship and then we would activate the pathfinding back !
About the last level, yeah it's not really clear, it's "supposed" to be harder, since it's just like the previous level where you need to make the boats avoid another boat, but this time the boat that we need to "protect" is not on the radar, so the player needs to use only the "3D" view to track the green boat and make the other ships avoid it. But it's defintely not clear enough.
Finally about the story yeah we know the ending definitely lacks elements, we wanted to put in much more and do a proper conclusion but it turns out writing a story with choices and characters is a lot of work and our main writer @kerdelos was a bit burned out at the end of the jam ! (But just in case you're curious he made with us the story for [another game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/spiritweaver) that came out pretty well !
Thanks again for the review it was great reading you !
@tyrannas Ah, okay! That makes more sense than the boat mechanics I was envisioning.
Yeah, writing stories on a deadline is really hard. I think you did a pretty good job here, props to @kerdelos! I may have to check out your other game sometime too.
Great story, nice visuals and sounds and very cool mood.
Such a calming coastal vibe all around! The clever lighthouse perspective and minimap design feel really unique, paired with lovely art, soothing music and neat radio rhythm effects. The steady pacing and mysterious story details are super well-crafted. A few small visual tweaks and simple hints would make this cozy experience even smoother.
Love the music and overall mood in the day scene, very relaxing! Gameplay was a bit simplistic but the story made up for that. Really impressive how the minimap matches with the outside view
The art is so so pretty! Love the vibes and atmosphere. As a small nitpick, it would have been cool if during the text parts the text didn't break as the text came in. Also the ships have some wicked turning abilities being able to instantly turn like that :D. Those are just dumb nitpicks tho, I really liked the game, good job!
This is a really nice game. I liked the art, and the music was nice too. It feels pretty polished and fun to play. Good job!
radio music is pure beach relaxation then suddenly a ghost ship shows up and my brain had to actually work great mix of chill and tension just let me skip the dials next time my fingers are slow
This was so chill! It was very easy and then it was impossible  It took me too long to change radio frequencies, so the boats collided.
I love the radio conversations though
It actually only partially worked on my phone (you might remember, I asked for recommendations in a blog post) because I twice encountered a bug where the game wouldn't show the button to continue to the next day on day 2.
I'm really glad I finally did come back, it was so worth it! Amazing atmosphere you created here! I love the switiching between day and night mode!
cool game, like the music and humour, wish to have more tools to communicate and guide ships
This feels like a slow-paced casual game to play, right?
I really like the sound effects and background music in the game. They fit the game very well.
At first, I was a little confused about the gameplay because I didn’t know where the destination on the map was. But when the little boat showed the automatically planned route, I knew I had cleared the level!
