The art goes so hard.
The art is tuff
Very nice graphics!
Amazing pixel art, I like it. He looks cute and scary at the same time, an unusual combination.
I liked graphics but I didnt understand the goal of game and I think projectiles dont work
I got down to the orange area with the giant kraken squid thing, but couldn't figure out where to go from there. Was there more or did I reach the end? Also, did the shooting gun thing do something or was that a feature that was cut due to time?
Cool little game though! I really enjoyed the artwork and exploring the maze to find the next way down.
Nice work! Most of the feedback I could give is just a rehash of what was already said. You made a fun little world to explore.
The map is interesting and keeps me wanting to explore the areas. Also, the lighting effects on deep areas and the bubble powers are good elements. Good work!
Wow, nice work ! The art is amazing, the lights, the ambiance. Really good job. I wonder own you manage to not step on the toes of others in a team during a short game jam, but it seems like you are well organized. Nice work!
@pro4 Sadly a lot was cut due to time, but the goal was for you to find and take a diver back to the surface with a whole upgrade system for the submarine, and a working gun 😅. we plan on finalizing the game in the future.
Yep, the graphics are 5/5, with all the animations.. Are you like 1 programmer and 4 artists? 😄
Very beautiful and enjoyable game, beautiful and diverse underwater world. But why is there no sounds and music in the game?
I like the map and the atmosphere. With a bit of sound this game could be very cool.
Amazing graphics, really likes the feel of driving the drub around to. Would have loved some sound effects, would really have rounded out the experience more.
@oddmes Im the lead artist for this project! we had two coders and 3 artists ahaha! i did all the big work you see on the map and then built the entire map in unity! so we had to do this for a university project, i’m a third year and the other two artists were second years, for the time and skill limits i feel like it came out pretty nice looking
@jtap unfortunately we ran out of time! we have a whole list of about 50 sounds we found to implement. we will be developing this further!
Very nice art and design of the fish, just 12/10!💥wow💥
A really great visual style!
The pixel art is gorgeous for the enemies and environment both; as others have said, adding in some sound would really elevate the experience, but it's a fun little exploration game as it is!
I wasn't sure how to defeat the demon in the deep (my gun didn't seem to do anything) so it just sorta chased me around for a while. Hope to one day be able to make some kalamari out of him
Very cute game, loved the metroid style map and UI, only issue was i couldnt shoot the enemies (That or I just suck lol) Well done guys!
Beautiful, but I wish there was a chance to save the diver at the end...
Great graphics. It's funny that there is a "Settings" button, but there are no settings. I don't understand the point of the game. I went down to the very bottom and there was ... nothing. I also don't understand the point of the spheres that I picked up. I understood that the green ones restore health, but what did the others do? The lamp was of no use to me throughout the entire game. The game allows you to shoot, but the shells fly through the opponents, so why do I even hit them? I also did not receive damage from the opponents. Okay, I'm not even sure if the terrifying inhabitants of the depths are opponents? They just swam towards the submarine and seemed to be stacked inside me. The lower I went, the more clearly the collisions shone through, perhaps this is some feature of the Unity permissions.
@circleoflife so basically, we ran out of time xD the blue sphere is for speed, the green for health and the yellow for light meter. We didnt get enough time to implement the ending of the game... We hope to update the game at a future date!
Art is incredible !
Pretty cute game. I'm not sure my canon works, but I love how graphics change as you reach down deeper and they are quite pleasing at that as well.
The visuals really carry the game. I did miss having sound effects, though—something simple would’ve gone a long way. I use Bfxr myself; it’s a great tool for quick sound design, and I think the style would really fit this game.
There was a nice feeling of exploration in trying to dive deeper, weaving through the terrain to see what was hidden in the unknown. I collected a few orbs and dodged some sea monsters… though I’m not even sure I had to, since some didn’t seem to damage me. Maybe I missed something important.
Still, the vibe is strong. I’d love to see this fleshed out more.
This could've been a fun game if it was finished as planned. The art is pretty good. Level design is also good. I wish that submarine had a proper 'lose' animations, as well as some text given ('You've been defeated') A gun could be more useful, since you've made it and added means of control. Without a gun, having so much enemies to run from is not fun.
Wow, what a beautiful game, the art looks really awesome, the theme fits perfectly... We also made a game using the Abyssal Trenches, in our case we used them as territory, but our game is much simpler. Hehe.
Beautiful art, I hope you continue after the jam, I want to see more of it
The graphics of the game is beautiful but I did not understand the purpose of the game, I realized that you need to collect balls to live, but I do not understand if there is any sense to shoot at hostile fish, because I do not feel a special impact from the shots. Also very much missing sounds for immersion in the game
The art style is really impresive!
A very good entry, especially thanks to the graphics and the global mood, which are truly beautiful. As some people have mentioned, there are a few things missing, but they would be great to develop for a "post-jam" version! - Have music - Have sounds played - Have feedback when firing or when the submarine is hit - Level design: some sections are a bit too narrow, and I admit I had to grit my teeth to get through them ;)
But well done, the map is beautiful AND, above all, it makes you want to continue and explore further. Which is a great achievement!
A lively and vibrant world you've created. A shame the weapon and goal didn't make it into the jam version.
The art in this little game is really gorgeous, we can really see how much craft it took to put it together, and just itself already made the experience enjoyable for me! :) I agree with all the others about the lack of sound design, which could contribute a lot for this aesthetics. Like creepy sounds of the ocean. All that said, I really think you should be a lot proud of all you accomplished here, and is actually quite creepy already when you really go deep down and the light is scarce (to me that struggle with talassophobia it was really quite a thing XD).
I really liked it, thank you for the game! :) I'll keep on watch for the post jam version.
Fantastic art! Great entry
@hinamarina thank you so much for the kind feedback! yeah unfortunate that we ran out of time but i feel we could turn this into a great experience!
Really fantastic art (the extra ambiance the light gives deeper down was a nice touch). Wanted to keep exploring as much of the map as possible!
Will echo the feedback that sound will be great, with that I can really see myself getting lost for a long time in the world you craft; looking forward to see how you develop this further :)
presentation and artwork was off the charts but i just dont know what the point of the game is -- also some background music would have really helped the mood -- thanks for making it
The time 72h limit is uncompromising. I can clearly see so many features that you had to cut :pensive:
Is it intentional that the bubbles appear in front of the submarine instead of behind it when it is moving  ?
Awesome art btw.
Really nice visuals!
I really like the art style. Looks amazing. It's a pity there is no audio - it could make an amazing mood. On the other hand, the movement felt a bit too floaty and clunky. I would love to see a finished version. Good job! :D
