Really cool take on the classic typing game. I could actually see myself learning morse code through a game like this.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD59 → DOT & DASH

Really cool take on the classic typing game. I could actually see myself learning morse code through a game like this.
Fun idea, nice execution, waaaaay too hard for me to actually progress
Great game especially the car mini game
Very fun! Loved the graphics. I thought it was cool how you made such a fun game with not many controls, and the morse code was fun.
I love how you incorporated visuals to a morse code mini-game, it just makes it more interesting than pressing letters that pop up on screen. It could definitely use more levels, preferably with a wide variety of letters that you would need to press.
It's also just missing the beep sound effect when you press space. That would make it really satisfying.
Such a fun idea utilizing morse code for the different mini games! Makes for a cute educational game on that feature.
fun idea
that was challenging haha, and quite fun. As others have said, a beep would have been really satisfying. But overall a really great entry.
Very fun little mini games!
Cool, I liked the game, it's very unusual to control Morse code lol, I even passed the race
Very hard, managed to beat the race, but other games are very hard. Great theme and mood tho.
idea is original, thats all
Fun idea
Very creative use of morse code!
I like the idea of controlling something using morse code.
very nice idea. i would love a full version to learn the whole morse code.
Awesome game! Well done, it was incredibly fun to play and took a good amount of time to master the morse code to beat all three levels. Love it!
Nice idea and great effort. The last level is really hard tho. Great entry ^^
Took a bit of time until I realized you can only type one letter at a time. But was a fun challenge.
Using Morse code is a really original interpretation of the signal theme, and I think the idea itself is very creative.
Personally, the games were not very engaging for me because I am not a big fan of typing games. I kept thinking that the Morse code concept could become even stronger if it were combined with other mechanics instead of being the only focus.
For example, in the first game I could imagine exploring the island, gathering food, avoiding monsters, and using the Morse code system during quieter moments to contact SOS. I think that could make the signal mechanic feel even more exciting and meaningful.
In any case, this is a very creative response to the theme!
@nadia-pixel thanks for the feedback! really liked the idea with having lite survival game on island
different styles, but you can play
Oh, this is your first game jam! Congratulations! This game is really challenging. It would be great if there were symbol hints. Maybe there are, but I couldn't find them, sorry. I'd also like to be able to erase Morse code symbols if I accidentally miss-clicked. I lost a few times because of that, which was a shame. I really enjoyed the car minigame, especially the last car you have to drive around. Great job!
@darizz yeah, its our first time, will try to participate every time until LD64 :D thanks for the feedback, btw symbol hints are at the second page of the book, there are buttons above it to switch tabs.
Really cool idea and really cute execution, i sadly failed hard at the boats, but awesome job!
cool idea but feels really challenging. the car game was way to stressful for me also it feels like having all the letter shown makes it way harder then just showing the letters / numbers you need
Very nice graphics and cool game idea. Congratulations!
It's a cool game, although the controls aren't immediately clear, but once you figure it out, you feel better.
A great idea for this game jam theme, well executed, the last stage was a bit tricky for me! The trick to winning was writing down the commands on a piece of paper instead of looking them up in the list every time! PS: Now I know how to use the S.O.S. signal in Morse code, so thank you for that!
Quite original game, with cool mechanics, but for me in the end it got too much challenging, as i need to switch tabs constantly to understand what i should type. With cars it was nice, as i started to memorise the code, but with rockets it was too much for me. Anyway it was fun, keep it up!
yea! another game about morse code! it was fun, good job the game is freezing when selecting level
Interesting how fast I could learn the essential morse code signs by just playing those three levels! It is almost an edutainment game (that actually was fun!)
The idea fits very well. Good work!
I like the second mini game. Control a car with morse code is interesting. Third mini game is too hard for me, but it's cool anyway. Also nice audio.
It was fun but the third game is too hard. The mine spawns right in front of you at the last moment. :(
Fun and engaging, though a bit repetitive.
Using morse code is def an interesting and fun idea, I could see potentials from this!
My game also based on using Morse codes, but not the letters especially. I like your idea more than mine)
The boat one was really hard. But the minigames were great.
This has a lot of potential as a teaching tool! I like how each level is reusing some letters from previous levels, so as you go, you are learning more and more letters.
very interesting interpretation of the theme! level 1 seemed too simple to me, but starting from level 2 - the game opens up over time! the level with the car was challanging, but I managed it haha
the graphics and music are also top-notch, a very well-polished game! i hope you continue development and make more levels as planned!
