great art, fun lil game. good job.
Love the art, but I can't do any combo's except combining mice and cats. Can you check to see if that's still working? Not sure if I'm missing something here.
Love the idea, cool management system for the souls and creatures. It seemed a bit overpowered to be able to spam the offerings. I often forgot to look at the candle, maybe some sound indicator that its low would be nice.
Nice graphics, the game works well. I find that the things spawning randomly at the top is fine, but it could probably have been a more interactive mechanic.
Hey buddy, I’m awake and now snacking while gaming. It’s a real juggling act not to die laughing and inhale my food the wrong way. Your game is seriously awesome, those visuals are just too cute – must’ve taken you ages, right? After playing, it’s clear we’ve got heaps to learn. Kudos to you, my friend, you’ve done something incredible.
@locksmitharmy thank you :)
@gametrodon I checked again this morning and everything works :/ maybe you forgot to collect the creatures on the pentagram (click and drag and drop on the pentagram), they must be there to be transmuted.
@slavturtle thanks, the music changes when the candle is at less than 50% and yes the game is designed to be fast and a bit stressful :p there are 4 items, one for each basic creature and one for the candle.
@yorsh we know we've got a lot of ideas but we've focused on a fully functional main gameplay loop first, to have a complete little game that's as polished as possible.
@drgcandle thanks a lot :) that's really nice to hear :) and yes it was a lot of work ^^’
I'll review your game, but now it's time to go to work :p Have a nice day or night, depending on your time zone ^^'.

Great idea :) good job :)
A simple and adorable game—what more could you need after a three-day crunch? I really enjoyed it.
Had a little trouble at first, but then I started really enjoing the game! The scream of joy that came out of me when the sceleton showd up! Good job) (really sad that sonic didn't make it to the final version)
Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out what to do in the game. It might be my fault since I'm tired, but the design could be more intuitive.
Like the idea of it. Graphics are nice, it works pretty well.
I really liked this game! You guys are great!
Vety cool game!
It's super cool idea. I just felt like I can basically take almost all I can and it will still be kind of okay for what I'll have to summon.
Arts is really cool you did a great job ! I like the fact that the little souls are moving around on the ground in perspective. Cheers :)
@macibacsi56 thanks :)
@emty thanks :) indeed, the days were very tiring but we're pleased with the results (we have a lot of unimplemented ideas :/)
@eklbirifine haha thanks, yes Sonic was a placeholder ^^' ok I hope this little problem was quickly replaced by fun :3
@falien thanks :)
@kirass thanks :)
@gnum thanks :)
@satolas thanks :) in fact the number of summoned creatures affects the speed factor of the candle (and only the number not the type). And at the end, the demon gives 1000points and acts as a candle item.
I’ll review your game, but now it’s time to go to work :p Have a nice day or night, depending on your time zone ^^’.

The web version did not work for unfortunately but downloaded the project. I really liked it well done. PS: the art is awesome.
I loved the art and I like match games!
i really like that your game is so colorful, i enjoyed!
Nice graphics! I like the main mechanics and the objective itself. When I had summoned the main demon though I didn't feel like keeping on playing.
Really had fun with the game! I loved the mechanics and the visuals were gourgeous!
I really dig the super unique art-style. It really makes the game stand out. The concept is also really fresh and very well executed, a nice spin on the match game formula.
I really like the game! It took some time to get used to the crafting but once you do it is really simple yet fast. I only wish that the the timing mechanic would be in another aspect of the game. That once you summon them, you don't have much time till they leave or something, but with the timer on the gifts, i just ended up spamming random objects because it was faster/better than thinking about it. The art is really pretty and fits the whole vibe of the game. Keep up the awsome work!
Some fantastic 90s adventure game vibes going on in this!
As people have said, props on the art and bringing that authentic Mexican vibe to the jam! The overall concept was a nice combination of easy to understand mechanics and didn't require too much getting used to. I loved the way the offerings and summoned creatures wonder around the 3D floor, and can be manipulated; it really nails the feeling of herding cats without being too cumbersome.
The materials bar was my only point of frustration, as the hit boxes for the items are infuriating and when you click it seems to clear everything, so mistakes are extremely punishing. Suggestion would be to make each hit box just be the entire slot. Congrats on a sick game!

candle_10.png
That's fun game idea
Cool concept! Took me one round to internalize the rules of the game, but after that I had a great time balancing which resources to take and use for summoning, and continually dragging the creatures back onto the circle when they run away. :smile: The art, music, and gameplay come together very nicely. Great job guys!
@jean-francois @iwant-pizza @givit-game-studios
Works well with Firefox!
Nice little game. I especially like the art paired with the sound of the "Daemon". It was pretty fun and could become somewhat crowded, if you didn't receive the right combinations in time. But dragging those strollers back to their place had its charm. Great work :smile:
I got the same error above using firefox but only on the LD page, on itch.io it worked fine.
As for the game, I loved the presentation! This is one of the most unique looking LD games I've played in a while.
I did find one major issue though, the tutorial doesnt explain how to summon chimeras and demons. It left out the part where you have to click on the tombstone. I tried to spawn things by spamming animal spirits until they all lit up but that didnt work. I then tried filling the circle with only the exact number of animals needed but that didnt work either. It was only when I read the itch.io page that i saw you had to click the tombstone lol.
Maybe thats on me, but I think the tutorial should have been more specific.
Once I figured it out the game became a lot more engaging. I didn't really like the offerings system though. The randomness was kind of unsatisfying and I felt like i was just sitting around waiting for the right items. I also think you should have some kind of limit on the number of spirits you can have summoned at a time because without it you can just keep spamming summons until there happens to be the appropriate number of animals on the circle for a chimera. I felt limited only by the speed at which the offerings get randomized.
Overall though, a cool unique experience and very polished for an LD game
@givit-game-studios how ok :/ the game is not tested on Firefox or other web browser. the game must be run on a Chrome-derived browser like Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Brave… also works on Safari (but can be closed suddenly due to excessive memory usage). I glad that you like it finally :)
@pabloabraham thanks :) I glad that you like it
@derllie thanks :)
@troggzor56 thanks :) ho ok I'm sorry :/
@ru-mey thanks :)
@sampai I glad that you like it
@aracana thanks, the game was designed to be fast and a bit stressful :p maybe too much ^^'.
@smidgens thanks :)
@labcatgames ho ok thanks for your comments, I'm not sure I understand your point exactly but I'll figure it out. I checked the hitbox and indeed some are smaller than the item. You're right, the hitbox can be the same for each item and correspond to the slot :/
@iwant-pizza sorry for that :/, I need more details: the game must be run on a Chrome-derived browser like Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Brave… also works on Safari (but can be closed suddenly due to excessive memory usage). Not tested on Firefox or other web browser. The game works on some smartphone browsers but the game is not designed for, if it works, don’t forget to disable the tutorial :/ (impossible to press enter ^^’)
@makse I glad you like it :)
@lectvs glad to hear it :) yes I understand that the first try can be complicated ^^'
@lehmy haha yes indeed, I'm glad you like it
@skleembof ho ok the tutorial must be more specific sorry for that :/ In fact there is no limit of invocation but, the speed factor of the candle is related to the number of invocations (and only the number). The balance of the game can be improved indeed :) I'm glad you like it finally :)
I’ll review your game, but now it’s time to go to sleep :p Have a nice day or night, depending on your time zone ^^’.
mousespider.png
I ran it from the TOR browser
@iwant-pizza I'm not sure it's the best browser for that :/. Also the LD export is not working, works only on itch.io
Thats a lot of artistic characters and the textures are sick but combined they are a little too much, idk just a personal preference, maybe the most complicated ones are not always the best, somethimes simple is the way to go, overall I love the game
Beautiful, find myself replaying it, kept forgetting the candles in the first tries
A very cool idea and beautifuly made. Nice work
This game has by far my fav art from the enteries I've tried so far! I love the colorful designs and the hand-drawn style :)
Really unique gameplay. Loved the art too.
Amazing game, lovely art
Nice game! But I didn't get what a for I can move creatures on the floor?
Nice and stylish game! I was surprised that it actually harder than it seems at first glance. You really need to spread your attention to a lot of things, it kept the game engaging and challenging!
Art and sounds are cool, it also had no technical problems. So, yeah, nice game!
An interesting idea! However, at the very beginning I was a little confused about how to play, but then I realized. Good game!
@klemen I understand, our goal was to create a game and all assets by hand. The style is highly inspired by the film Coco (Disney). I'm glad you finally like it.
@p-r Thanks, yes, the game is more complicated than it seems. :P
@lelek-hunor-kadosa Thanks. :)
@avi I'm very glad to hear that. Thank you!
@rubikon Thanks. :)
@josang1567 Thanks. :)
@algis-khasanov The creature must be on the pentagram to be transmuted and to obtain points (it is explained in the tutorial).
@nicekot Thank you. Yes, that was the idea in this game: a lot of micro gestion, a little bit stressful, and fast gameplay.
@thegreatcarpet I understand. Even if there is a tutorial, this is the kind of game that you need to play once to catch the idea. Parties are not so long, so it's okay, I guess. :P
I’ll review your game, but now it’s time to go to work :p Have a nice day or night, depending on your time zone ^^’.

Cute art and entertaining uncomplicated mechanics! Really liked the setting, enjoyable game :)
After launching, I didn’t immediately understand what I needed to do, but then I figured it out. I summoned 10 demons (approximately), I liked the visual design in such an unusual style and sounds, and also it was unexpected that the animals were moving away and approaching in perspective. I was wondering where the demon went, only one thing is clear that he went to have fun, I even wanted to join him :D Beautiful game!
Screenshot_11.png
Curious concept. It's interesting to try to combine the different types of "items" to arrive at some results. The graphics are functional, as is the gameplay. The music is pleasant.
Good job!
@kaesterin thanks :)
@nikiprotiv thanks nice score! we give a lot of interest to highlight the artists :)
@vphyre thanks :) we have a lot of idea not implemented ^^'
Have a nice day or night, depending on your time zone ^^’.

Cool game even if kinda slow I think
I enjoyed summoning a lot of demons. A good addition might be adding more ingredients or changing recipes however given the time constraint it's understandable. I thought the art was really good and also liked the sfx and music. The core game loop feels fair, trying to summon a lot of demons while keeping the candle lit was a tense but enjoyable experience.
Had fun managing the animals to stay on the circle lol, it kind of reminded me of trying to get pets to sit still for a photo. It took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to click on the symbols to actually perform the summon. I did manage to summon the giant... thing at the end though! The art style is amazing and the sounds fit the mood too, good work!

@fullsaphir thank you :)
@lamp-p yep we have lots of ideas, but we focus on a small number of well implemented features rather than a large number of bugs :p
@eric-nguyen ahah thank you :)
I’ll review your game later. Have a nice day or night, depending on your time zone ^^’.

I really liked the art style. Music and effects perfectly fit the creepy-cute atmosphere of the game. Orchestration is lovely and the xylophone is a good choice for any bony occasion involving a graveyard :) Rules are intuitive and gameplay is quite engaging. Great job!
I love the art and sounds so much, they are super fun and immersive. The gameplay is simple but fun, easy to engage in. Thanks for this entry!
@krummsakura BOOONNNG........... Uh! Aaaaaaah! Thank you for resurrecting me with your invocation and your comment on our game!
Mmmm..... I'm missing my nose (thankfully not my ears!).... I think it comes from the incantation of "A5's deep chord". (I'm self-taught, no notion of music theory as I'm allergic to that).
As far as the sound is concerned, I used mostly a symphony orchestra vst. What you liked was a marimba... I would have been wrong too ;)
I tried to recall the musical style of the country of origin with what I had. For the title screen theme, the guitar is a vst, and I simulated a kind of Mexican flute or ocarina recorded by blowing into a beer bottle :) I play sound eggs on this one, and on the current game track it's my hands that rub and clap clap.
Apart from the wind (vst), all the sound effects were done by mouth and whatever I had on hand. I really enjoyed myself!
Thanks for checking out my work and commenting on our project, my day is better too!
I loved the setting of the game, the concept is a lot of fun. What did happen to me was that I didn't really have to look at the combinations, by grabbing many items at once and summoning them I could spawn several creatures without having to follow the guide. The art is beautiful and the idea is great. Good job guys! image.png
@krummsakura thank you :) We make a point of putting artists first :p
@jamesw thank you :) We tried to keep a small set of feature well implemented
@naplz98 thanks ^^ it's a fiesta in the graveyard :p
mousecat.png + spidercat.png + spidermouse.png = demon.png
Funny little game :) I LOVE the Coco vibes so much :) Even the graphics looks nice :) But it is very hard to have all creatures in the summoning circle :D
@tomas-strmen thanks :) yes the game is designed to be a bit stressful with lots of micromanagement.
Nice little game. I needed a second try to fully understand what should I be doing there :D. I like the challenge. I think that it's little unfair that game is basically based mainly on the speed of clicking. I would like more a game where I need to think more and value more the resources. But of course this is just my personal preference. Thank you for the game! :) Untitled.png
@wildcodeplay thanks :) I understand, actually we have a lot of unimplemented features because we focused on a small set of well implemented features :)
Actually had a good time with this one. And what a cool idea! Good job
@leparlon Thank you :)
