The 3D office is amazing! I like the theme of the game, pestering your co-workers is the best!
This is how I see my mondays!
Fun game! It's pretty difficult though, I didn't last so long. Either way, the idea was great and the execution was nearly perfect!
Why!! I do game jams to escape cubicle hell!! (jk, nice job! love the art style)
the controls seem to be a little floaty. i would make the mouse turning a bit slower for more accurate turning. also putting in some water cooler power ups, or gossip powerups would be interesting in this game.
I enjoyed this! I love the mix of physical and mental. You need to figure out who to talk to, but you still need to navigate the office at the end of the day. Like a pacifist FPS. The sounds were great too :)
Idea interesting, but the sound was a bit loud. Also it seems that if you have a request to talk to a coworker who already has a request for you, you cannot complete the first coworker's request. I like the art style for the game though.
I know this is a super small thing but I love your logo at the beginning. It looks crispy. I had a bit of a hard time understanding what I was supposed to do in the game. It's a little difficult to move around too because the camera angle is tight and the mouse sensitivity was too high for me. I think it's a neat idea. Delaying getting fired definitely never came up in my brainstorm. Props for the creativity and great job finishing!
I loved it! I really like the mix between hand drawn 2d and a 3d environment, although I think a difficulty option would've been nice. Great job!
Took a bit to get used to the controls and the layout, but once I did, it felt like the pressures of having too much to at work! In the nicest way possible :joy:
Way more fun than a real job. I'm not sure what Worker 1's problemn is. I believe you have my stapler.
Too real, haha! Reminds me of opening Slack on a busy day.
Some thoughts: - Is it just me or is mouse sensitivity really high? - Love the 2D illustrations, they really give the workers some character in a 3D environment - Would love a sprint button, maybe as a powerup?
Fun and unique idea, nice work!
What a frantic game. The 2d characters in a 3d environment were a great way to get some art into the span of a game jam. The sound effects really set the mood to be frantic.
Thanks for the feedback.
The sensitivity definitely is high, for some reason the WebGL version (and maybe the Linux version) only has it. It might be an IL2CPP problem as the Mono Windows version worked fine while testing.
The worker's request being fulfilled before you talk to them is intended to increase the difficulty.
The volume mixing probably did need some more tweaking.
I do think I should've implemented some power ups to spice up the gameplay (especially when you have to run to Bosso and your desk)
I don't know why but I had some drift issues. Not sure if that's just me though. The game was pretty fun, but hard. I ended up ignoring most boss requests since I'd rarely ever make it there in time. Got 2200 for what that's worth.
Fun! I felt like I could never finish requests in time haha
Fun game, I really liked the "talking" sound effect :)
I enjoyed the 3d atmosphere. It made me laugh to have the coworkers yelling at me when i tried to talk to them
Fun! It felt like I could never do anything fast enough, which I guess is kind of the point? Anyway, I have some name suggestions:
Guy at the Office Who Won't Leave You Alone Simulator 2022
Brian from Accounting
Middle Management For Dummies
Pre-Pandemic, Post-Lunch
Who's The Boss (Not you)
I really liked the overall homebrew vibe of the game, I did not expect this to be 3d, a surprise but a pleasant one
getting to run around and being shouted for it would be a cool addition.
So the first minute or so you're supposed to stay in your office? As soon as I went out they yelled at me when talking. Later, the same prompt is used when they _do_ want to talk to you. Is that on purpose? It would fit the setting.
After a while I got a string where I could just click on my desk and the points went up, because that's what they wanted me to do at that point. I only went out whenever the !!! didn't go away when clicking on the computer. By that point the demands where more about talking to other workers.
The boss never seemed to want anything. I just went back to check, and clicked a few times, but they only scolded me for interrupting. Also very fitting for the setting I suppose...
"Ultra-realistic" office portrayal :D
@remco You can walk around in the beginning, but you can't interrupt the workers if they don't have a request.
I do think that I should've made it so that you have to talk to the employee before you can do the task, like the desk one.
The boss never asks anything, his bar goes down due to your interruptions and the other workers' questions.
I really loved those graphics. If only they had tools like slack, it would be easier :p
I like the mood you put together with the art and the setting. The "red squares are bad" advice was a little confusing, since I thought it meant "avoid workers with red squares" but actually it means "talk to workers with red squares to figure out what's wrong; avoid workers without red squares". You'e definitely conveyed a hostile work environment here. Nice work!
The graphics are very nice, but the tight camera and high sensitivity made it easy to get lost for me. Based on your comments it seems like the sensitivity was not meant to be that high. The dialogue and general mood was charming! Great job!
