Awesome job! I really enjoyed the art and the music in this game. They worked together to create an effective atmosphere. The gameplay was challenging and reminded me of Binding of Isaac.

One thing I noticed -- the title screen says "Untitled jam game." Is that intentional?

Awesome job, colin& team. Felt a lot like Isaac. It's fun how yoyu need to strategically think how to dispatch enemies quickly and without taking much damage.

Very cute aesthetic! got a bit stuck at the beginning since I did not understand that I had to suck blood or how to do it, but once I figured it out it was a nice experience.

I loved the game, it really reminds me of Binding of Isaac and I really had fun. I don't see any problems it runs pretty well, very polished game in my opinion and nice concept. Loved it, good job guys

@cover-club-media You can dash through the enemies to heal/feast on them. I think we did a really bad job explaining this in the game though.

@alekm Oh no, you should totally feed on the priests! You just get less health from them but you still get some ;)

Awesome! One of my favorites yet. Just good solid twin stick shooter action with old school Zelda-esque levels, nice pixel art, and a goofy sense of humor. Couple of minor critiques: I initially got stuck because I didn't realize you could dash through downed enemies and the first one was blocking the door. No big deal, I figured it out quickly, but I could see it tripping up some players. I also didn't realize you could suck enemies' blood by dashing through them until I accidentally did it on the third level. Maybe one quick pop-up message in the first room explaining those things would help.

Aside from that I had a great time and made it all the way to the punny ending. Nice work!!

@polymathld Ah yes, the first level was supposed to teach you about dashing through enemies but i think we didn't do a great job at this! Probably a text explanation would have worked better like you said. Thank you for the feedbacks (and for playing) <3

I like how the first level teaches you about dashing through enemies, and how it regains time. I didn't really need that mechanic until the last level though, as the dungeons were pretty easy. I like the artwork, and the character designs were fun. Nice game!

@100th-coin Thanks! Ya it was tough trying to strike a balance on difficulty when we didn't have much time to playtest.

@barce Thank you, that means a lot! Definitely currency and upgrades/abilities would be the next thing we would add. We unfortunately just didn't have time for it in the 3 days.

@akitl Thanks! Ya we decided to go for simple and polished over deep and messy

@krakadushka Thank you! The environments are definitely too samey and I (the artist) take responsibility for that. I should have spent a few more hours on decorations for the rooms. I'm glad you liked it though :)

**Fun:** This game was pretty good after I found out that I needed to dash on the jam page (adding some text saying to press shift would have been helpful). I also think the combat was very repetitive, especially against melee enemies. Another thing I noticed is that when you enter from the left on some rooms in the last level a small melee guys hits you before you can react.

**Innovation:** I can tell this was inspired by Binding of Isaac, but the health draining does add some nice tension and difference.

**Theme:** It fits pretty well.

**Graphics:** The graphics are really great. I especially like the perspective on the walls.

**Audio:** The music and SFX are very high quality, I really like how you had you had the evil laugh.

**Humor:** Really good!

**Mood:** Nice job! I think having a lighting system would have been really cool (you already have candles) but I get that you couldn't get to that in the time haha.

**Overall:** Really great quality game!

Overall it was a pretty good game! Art, Music and SFX felt very polished.

Some minor feedback that could make the game even better:

- Indicator that would let me know I've already fed on an enemy. (Red outline around them if I haven't fed on them maybe?)

- "Shooting" felt like it had no cooldown and instead it felt more like a "how fast can I spam left click". You could improve this by either shooting automatically by holding down left click or showing a cooldown(Maybe a bar above the players head similar to the dash bar on the top left)

- Better pathfinding on enemies, sometimes they got stuck behind obstacles.

- The "bat bullet" collider could be smaller for the obstacles to make it more forgiving for the player but kept the same for the enemies.

Keep in mind that this is very minor stuff and doesn't take away much from the experience. The game was still fun and I hope my feedback doesn't sound too harsh!

For some reason the audio didn't work when running the game through the itch launcher, but works fine when run directly.

I wish the bodies didn't have collision, or faded after being drained. It was frustrating to be in a situation where you knew you'd have to spend dash energy twice: once to drain and then again to get back out of the corner you'd dashed into.

Enemies camping the doorways was really frustrating.

The use blood to power everything mechanic worked out interestingly, fun overall.

@pepper-boi Thanks for the detailed feedback! I agree the combat against melee is kinda repetitive and boring. Ideally we would have added a few more enemy types but just ran out of time and wanted to polish what we had instead.

@riyadazo Thank you for the kind words! The collision boxes on stunned enemies is definitely a big issue that we have learned from.

@kazuren These are all great suggestions, thank you! I really like the idea of making the bat collider a little smaller for quality of life. And agreed, we wanted to add a 3rd enemy state where they completely fell to the ground after you drained them but we ran out of time. We should have come up with a quick fix for that.

the vampire fits the theme pretty well. the controls is very fluent, it's cute shooting out the bats. it's quite some work to make the game with many levels and full progress. Good job!

I really liked the concept of your health bar ticking down as a means for both the theme and putting some time pressure on the player! Obviously would be better with more content like weapons and found upgrades :).

Amazing graphics! The combat felt pretty satisfying and there was a good variety of levels and enemies. It was pretty easy which is fine but the problem was that difficulty only came from unfair levels (like the ones where you get stuck inside dead enemies). Nice work!

What a great job! It seems to me that the art and music are excellent and very polished, perhaps the gameplay can continue to be worked on. And improve some things like an indicator that we've already taken the blood from an enemy, and add other objects that can improve skills, small details that can improve the game. great job! Very cool little Binding of Isaac-like! Dashing through them to drain them took some getting used to but otherwise this is pretty straightforward and quite fun. It would be even better with more combat depth!
