My little brain is far too small for this... It took some time and fiddling to understand some connections but I was way to confused to get far haha 😅 In any case, it's a genuinely impressive concept with an interesting premise. Nice work!

Very nice game, not easy to get started but the process of connecting modules is so satisfying, reminds me of guitar pedals =)

Cool game, I like the idea a lot. I figured out how to do things eventually but trying to understand what each part of each node does was tricky. I think a slower knowledge ramp up would help greatly. There is just so much information right away that it's hard to break down everything as a player. Even just a node at a time and having the player plug things in in steps before it becomes time to face even the first wave might be a good method. I like the node based system with the wires as part of the old tech, very cool!

Very ambitious. And as such, requires a lot more handholding than there are. Such as, examples of the working layouts and way more detailed tumbnails.
I got to the third missions ("no reload during the waves" one) when gave up. I mostly use the single screenshot you gave, doubt I'd figure things without it. Looks good, especially love the shaking wires when you are hit.
Do I really need two guns and two cannons in the second mission? What exactly do settings on detector mean?
There is too little fitting on the screen without scrolling. Going full screen and allowing seeing all at once would help a lot.

@delta @baturinsky Thanks for the feedback, I think you're right. I don't know if I can edit the game (this is my first submission here) but I can easily add some explains. There is a lot of feature to discover and I agree we can miss details, told or not.
I added some guide in the game description.
In the game, I can more easily increase the number of mission, detailing modules one by one. I'll also add a quick start helper to explain the wire logic

As there is no limit (it seems) for the wapons in the loadout, most of "tricky" levels can be solved by just having more guns/cannons/mortars.
Excellent!
Chapeau !

@baturinsky Yeah you're right, adding more weapon is a strategy. The limitation you have is the number of weapon, which is 6 (2 at the center, 2 on the left and 2 on the right)
I didn't put the difficulty too high, so once you understand the module system and the units weakness (spoiled in the briefing) it is easy. The only thing that encourages optimization is the medal at the end of the run. Also a failed wave is not punishing, you can just retry. It is more like the game "satisfactory" vibe at the moment, you can build for the beauty of the build ✌️ Optimization is only necessary for the medals, and yet not difficult. Didn't have time neither to put objectives
It lacks some real heavy wave that force you to overclock you weapon. Also I didn't have time to take advantage / balance the energy.

This is absolutely brilliant! Patching cables between radars, logic modules, and weapons like an old-school analog synthesizer to automate your defense is such a genius take on the theme. The tactile retro UI and the depth of the mechanics feel incredible. Left full ratings across the board! If you happen to have a minute later to check out more games, we’d love if you took a look at our entry Meow Bomb as well. Best of luck with the jam!

Okay, I went in without reading any of the description given... I failed the first mission :D I tried things up to mission 3, couldn't figure it out. Perhaps it was the goal of utilizing every module at once. At times it felt some wiring didn't work but then did on another try. Very interesting game, I have to say and the soundscape feels eerie.
Great work!

I thought this was going to be a grind but actually... the way you paced levels makes it surprisingly approachable. The radar/enemy size stuff took a bit of experimentation, but once you get a feel for it the game is surprisingly enjoyable. I thought I was at the end until I realized the module rack scrolls...
Honestly super cool entry! nice work!

@nikiroz @fireslash Thanks a lot I'm glad you enjoy it !
It lacks some informations about ennemies, event if briefing is helping. I had the idea to put a spy-radio module that give information of incoming waves, but not enough time ! One of my goals was to make all interaction from the rack/modules for immersion. So there are tiny details so as the size on the scope that can help specialize weapon 😄
Thanks for playing !
By the way, remember you can press G to export a gif and share your stuff !

Great gameplay design! I love the retro style—it fits the theme really well. The placement and wiring mechanics have a lot of depth, too. However, I found it difficult to figure out how to play at first. A step-by-step tutorial with visual cues, such as flashing arrows showing what to do next, would be a big help.

Super cool game! Making a system for defense from components I could connect however I want is the kind of games I like :) It's also quite complex for a jam game, a lot of different components, enemies, settings for each component. It's awesome what system you was able to put together.
If I'd have to say what details I'd improve - you could add moving left and right also to A / D for those who use touchpad on laptop so they have right hand in middle of keyboard so I cannot use arrows. Also wiring become messy pretty quickly but it's maybe only me :D Not sure how it should be handled differently, though.
Great game anyway!

A/D left/right is a great addition. At the time you can mouse wheel to scroll.
I'm collecting ideas and will surely release a post jam soon

I think this could turn into a really cool game! Right now it’s little too complicated. I’d focus on making it easier to understand overall and introducing things gradually (rather than adding a tutorial). Like, in the first mission you just have to connect two modules correctly, then three in the next one, and so on, really small steps. Btw, great product for jam!

I may upload a postjam this weekend with better handholding. I'm also thinking about adding ideas that didnt fit in jam, we'll see 😄

Wow, what a great entry! You really got me hooked. I really wish there were more levels. As others have already mentioned, the setup can become a little messy over time. A way of labeling or coloring components might be a nice addition to keep things organized. I wish I could have labeled some of the modules so I know for example what weapon (or reload/heat) my threshold belongs to. Same goes for the wires - Coloring them the way you want might also help in organizing the build. Nevertheless, you've created an awesome game and I'll definitely come back and play it again after the jam!

@woergbi Thanks a lot ! I'm really please you had a good time !
I'm currently working (less aggressively than in the jam, I admit) on the different points mentioned by the feedbacks to give a more accessible experience, with more levels, a infinite mode, better balance and more usefull energy gestion, and why not 3 more weapons.
Cable customization is something I put aside while coding, I also think about cable management with pins etc...

Wow this is so cool! I got to level 10 before I couldnt figure out how to get further. Ive always wanted to play with one of those sythesizer things so it was really fun. I think if you wanted to keep developing this I would push you to come up with opportunities for the player to be clever and beat the level in multiple ways. Right now it seems like there is a single optimal setup. Something open ended that let you make cool combos and play how you wanted would really grab me and pull me in. Awesome work!

Extremely cool concept of combining modules with a tower defence system. Love the art style and the sound design too.
Love the graphical style and the polish on all the little interactions (cable physics, sound effects, bunker shake, etc.)! Wish this type of game was more my style, but it definitely was fun to dabble. 😊 Well done!
