Wow, I can't believe this was made in 48 hours! It looks gorgeous

cogcomp 2026-10-19 15:00 ♥ 1

Impressive game, with mini games inside and a compelling back story. Excellent music as well. Well done! Impressive work for 48 hours โญ๏ธ

Maybe it's just a skill issue, but the shield mini-game was really tough. Too many times it seemed like there were 'meteors' approaching from opposite directions. But for a compo game this is really impressive

adam-gould 2026-10-20 13:10 ♥ 0

@lomna Thanks for the feedback! The shield minigame took a lot of tweaking to hit the point of "beatable but hard" - it's possible I aimed a little too hard and could have added some extra algorithmic stuff to smooth out the outlier cases, only time will tell... as I'm sure any dev knows, it's hard to gauge the difficulty of a game you've made because by definition you'll have more practice than anyone else in the world

The mini-games are really fun and, for the most part quite challenging. The space atmosphere was well-realized through the music and overall vibe, though I donโ€™t really see the connection to the theme.

I enjoyed this game a lot. Nothing was too hard that I got stuck. The music is nice. The natural transition to the end music felt really good, and it wrapped the game up nicely. The narration added to the overall mood too. Getting in and out of terminals and switching tasks felt very natural.

iluvatar 2026-10-20 18:46 ♥ 1

Maaan, this is so good. The mood, the storytelling and THE SOUND, damn that was SO GOOD! As always your voice acting is such a great touch that does so much to the game. The music and sound effect are very well done as well. The simple things like keyboard typing sounds are really what highlights the whole experience. The gameplay itself is very cool, simple, but fun and engaging. It gives me the Iron Nest vibes - you can't actually see the outside which opens the place for your own imagination. Definitely one of the top 25 for this event for the audio alone!

beareye 2026-10-20 18:50 ♥ 1

Man I'm really worried about those crew members who got affected by the radiation.. It was a cool experience. I liked mini games, vibe was nice, voice acting was really unexpected and I liked it so much. Good job!

fifut 2026-10-20 19:11 ♥ 2

What a wonder when the window opened. The mini-games are great. The shield is a little tricky because particles come at you from opposite directions at the same time. I really enjoyed playing. ๐Ÿ‘

sevansevan 2026-10-20 21:11 ♥ 1

I agree with @fifut that the window opening was wonderful. Audio was amazing, I was really immersed in the adventure, I'm glad I experimented this.

adam-gould 2026-10-20 21:34 ♥ 1

@fifut @sevansevan I'm glad you found that moment particularly impactful, it took a LOT of tweaking to get right.

Awesome game. It is really engaging, I wanted more!

Everything feels very polished, and visuals/music, sound effects, even the mood put in the writing work so well together. I enjoyed the small narrative you put in there.

As already mentioned by other players in their comments above, I found the shield minigame a bit difficult, and found myself in situations where I don't think it was actually possible to win. But in the end I think I needed 4 attempts, so it's not that bad!

Good job!

lucasito 2026-10-20 21:52 ♥ 1

Woooow. Insane. You basically did several games for a single game jam. I love the graphics, everything is very beautiful. There is a lot of attention to the details, like the animations inside of the terminals to put the text or the the bending of the computers. Really amazing.

Reading others comments, I personnaly think it was well equilibrated, but I guess this is just personnal and you can't meet everyone's perfect difficulty expectations. Congrats!

acartlidge 2026-10-21 01:33 ♥ 1

Loved this! I really enjoyed the narrative bit and the music was a bop. I agree with the other comment that the shield game was kinda hard, I think it was just RNG whether you got a really unfortunately timed fast moving ball arriving at the same time as a slow moving one. Overall super cool, great work!

rentem 2026-10-21 13:08 ♥ 1

Great work! Amazing how many mini games you were able to add and keep everything as polished as it is. I had to restart the barrier game a few times. But the mini games are short enough for that, even if you get an impossible situation you can have a go at it again.

Thank you for this little adventure

The contrast between the confined, clinical feeling of the terminals and the view when the window opens is handled masterfully. That sense of waiting and isolation makes the journey feel incredibly compelling, and the whole atmosphere just pulls you in.

remink 2026-10-21 21:29 ♥ 1

The game was superb, I really liked the atmosphere, and the mini game were fun ! Impressive work for a 48h game jam :ooo

the-big-lost 2026-10-22 14:16 ♥ 1

Genuinely fun and an impressive feat for a single developer in 48 hours!

The opening, with the pod opening up from 2D text on black background to a full 3D environment, was a great reveal. (Then again with the ending.)

Maybe I was just lucky, but I didn't have any issue with the shield minigame. I wish I could say the same about the _propulsion_ minigame though ๐Ÿ˜…

Edit: Oh, and the music is great as well!

Managed to reach the end! I fully expected this to turn into a horror game but was glad to be proven wrong :) 1.png

Anyway, this was awesome!! I really loved the opening cutscene here, especially the voice acting - I wish the main character spoke more than once, but that's totally understandable given the time frame :) I think my favorite part was the first few puzzles, I liked finding the very secure password on the stick-it note and parsing the power sequence from the communication log (I want to hear about the Kevin incident!!). The minigames afterwards had some charm too though, and I felt like they struck a good balance between frustration and fun - I thought the navigation minigame would be much more annoying than it actually was, for example. The communication logs felt a bit weirdly paced and kinda ended on a cliffhanger (what happened with the alien?!), but I get that this is probably another running out of time moment, and otherwise it was a lot of fun! Very cool entry!

adam-gould 2026-10-23 15:35 ♥ 2

@the-big-lost Thanks for that! The main reason my thumbnail/pictures are so sparse is because I wanted the 3D-ness of it all to be a big surprise, plus the other two main surprises throughout (the viewscreen opening and also the ending).

@frogravity Thank you as well - indeed you've specifically noted the two main places where I just ran out of time. My kid was asleep the next room over so I couldn't record any more voice lines, and the last hour of development went to doing a bunch of quick quality-of-life changes and fixes instead of adding more to the communication log. The logs are specifically tied to each console, but what I should have done instead was have a linear progression of logs that get unlocked as you go, to allow me to put a proper backstory in it.

henk 2026-10-24 18:31 ♥ 1

Always fun to find a game with proper voice acting in it. IMO the controls seemed a bit inconsistent; some things accepted wasd + mouse while others required arrows/enter, which meant my right hand was moving on and off the mouse a lot.

The minigames also felt, idk, a bit mean? They all seemed to have a "theme" of playing wack-a-mole with a PRNG, which can be a bit frustrating if you happen to get unlucky. I managed to beat them all, but playing them felt kind of like being on the losing end of a game of keep-away.

tigerj 2026-10-25 13:35 ♥ 0

This game was like a dream coming true. I often fantasize about being isolated in a remote space station having to solve clever puzzles to experience a blissful orbit. I especially loved the alignment challenge and your clever tricks to thwart my skim reading on stream. Great job!

lucky-racoon 2026-10-27 05:52 ♥ 1

That was a well built game. I liked how there was games in the game... that made it enjoyable. I like that it wasn't stressful, like you could sit there and you would die, it was just a really good puzzle game. The music/sound/sfx are really good (I have the song stuck in my head). I liked how you saw outside the ship when you finished the game. I can't find anything to complain about it, so really good game for only 48 hours. Good job!

adam-gould 2026-10-27 09:16 ♥ 0

@lucky-racoon thank you for the kind words! Glad you liked the sound so much, I had a lot of fun going round the house and finding things that could make sound effects for me
