No sound? yeah... I didn't have time for that in my game either :( Major kudos for non-minimal gfx!
oh yeah, it does burn cpu in Chrome (30%) but not Firefox (8%). Weird; it's the opposite for almost everything I write. Runs fine in both btw... on a 3.3ghz quad i5 anyway :)
I like the music.. what is that, a harmonium?? And I like that it's over in 5 minutes because I have 1700+ games to get through =/
Tough little game, surprisingly challenging... I could see myself playing a few minutes a day for weeks.
Rewindable dialogs, the killer feature missing from...every RPG i've ever played :D
Could be the start of a good project... if only combat was at all challenging :)
Suggestion: switch to HTML5 and use JS for scripting.
Hey everybody, thanks for all the comments!
@Test User: WASD would be nice, unfortunately certain browsers interpret Control-W as "close page" (lookin at you Chrome)
@uberneen: maybe they're married :)
@cacciatc: my friends all got a kick out of your "underwater" line!
@DavidErosa: thanks, it worked!
@Mark Hildreth: cheers! and yeah, I do a lot of FP stuff...I basically got into JS by way of Lisp.
Yep, the controls really sucked. After LD I rewrote the keyframing system so you can attack while running/jumping/crouching to get past the enemy's defense. Probably going to disable collisions so you can walk past/through enemies too... definitely for the RPG game, which will hopefully be in alpha by mid June.
Shouldn't have to start the whole game over everytime I die. Also, I would like to go faster :)
gah, Unity... sounds funny though :)
and it's html5... nice :)
Nicely balanced too... difficult but not insanely so.
Unity != Web ...change your description please! (I'm not getting my hopes up about the Linux download)
In this small sans serif font, click == dick. Had to say it.
+1 for tagging [Unity web player]... too bad I can't play it on Linux. I like your screenshots... "lost in space...again" hehe
cool, Linux version works for me on Fedora17 (dunno what's holding back the Unity browser plugin, then). Played to level 11 before I got bored. Gets interesting around level 5 when you can't get to that one lone planet because a bunch of other planets (and potatoes) are pulling you the other way :)
Yep, fine in Chrome on Linux, performance problems in Firefox.
