I was confused a bit on how the enemy damages you since it happens so fast without accompanying notification. I did put it together by the end! I wasn't able to beat the last level with Magical Boy, but I might try again with others. The art style is super cute and fun.

I've fallen in love with the graphics! I’ve been thinking about making a card game for a while, and these graphics are truly inspiring. However, there’s a lack of ‘feel’ in the game. The absence of SFX and VFX, along with the lack of any shake or punch during interactions, really affects the overall experience. I would definitely pay for this card game if it had a better feel.
The art is absolutely stunning—I love your color choices! The gameplay is solid and makes sense. It would be even better with some attack effects, though. I end up just staring at my health bar and the enemy’s the whole time. But overall, it’s really fun!
very nice experience, but you probably should add some indicator for damage, all around a cute little card game :3
It's impressive to see a very good game design like this. The gameplay is clear and variable but the UI doesn't makes me pay attention to my HP or Armor, it would be best if we could know in real-time how much damage we deal to the enemy and back. Btw, the art style is very cute and unique, some sound or music could make it more perfect. Good work!
The game design is amazing! Art is so clean, very good! About gameplay, i think that needs feedbacks, both audio and visual on like, every action you take so it makes more impactful, would like to see this developed further!

interesting) Hidden colors and gameplay
Really love this game! Beautiful and really fun! I found myself retrying with Athena and Artemis - will have to try with Hermes. I like the mechanics, only wished I could have a notif or something to let me know about enemy attacks at first, but you do get used to it. Fantastic job guys <3
I wanna start by saying that the art is absolutely gorgeous and all the cards are very creative and interresting, but the game felt a bit plain in the feedback, its a little hard to tell what is happening each time a card is played and all the healing cards didnt work when i was playing with Hermes, also i think it would be nice to add some kind of cost to the cards because you can just play all of the cards in hand without thinking and it will work almost all of the time, witch makes the "game feel" a little lacking and to end the comment i want to say again that the visuals and art of the game is beatifull, congratulations!

I really like the concept and the art! It was fun to play :) If I could suggest any improvements I would say it would have been helpful to have a tutorial at the start as there is a learning curve that can make the beginning frustrating before you work out what is going on. Also the balancing felt a little off as I spent the first 6/7 fights breezing through taking no real damage but then was instantly killed in the final fight. Overall though it was really cool and I would love to see how you take this game further!
A cute card game, could use some animations as the main mechanics are hard to wrap your head around at first. Doesn't really fit the theme for me. Had a nice time playing it.
The art and concept are really cool! Could use a bit of feedback on hits and also audio, and the last fight is way more difficult than the rest of the game. Would love to see it expanded upon as it's pretty fun!

The art style is amazing! I played three runs and made it to the dragon each time. I enjoyed learning the mechanics and developing a strategy about what is and isn't useful in your deck. (Siren Voices seemed so strong at first, but it's bad to draw later on.) I love Umbrella Shield but it couldn't stand up to dragon. Hypothetically lots of "reduce the enemy's attack" and starting shield might be able to beat him... Great entry overall, I would definitely play more if you do a post-jam update!
I really like your color palette; it's able to catch my eye well in a lot of games that are on the darker or grey side of the color spectrum. However, the part that I think is less than perfect is that I don't really get a clear picture of what changes after using a card: either my own or an enemy. I need to compare and recall the previous data every time to know the effect of the card. In my opinion if this can be improved then the game will be the best!

Wow, the game looks absolutely amazing and so cute! I spent a long time just throwing all the cards one after another, and I even thought it didn't really matter in what order, but then the dragon defeated me :) Incredible work. I really enjoyed it!
Though, I feel like there could be more animations and effects when the enemy takes a turn. Also, I noticed some bugs where cards would pop up over the menus.

@kinart Thank you so much for your feedback ! We definitively need to add some timing and animations for the actions so it's easier to understand :)
@xorfe Thanks a lot ! We wanted to created a card game for a while as well, there is still a lot of work to do to make a real game out of it but we're really motivated to improve it !
@bestdtang Thank you so much ! :)
@dennispersecond Totally agree with you, thanks a lot !
@kamizenki Definitely needs more work to polish it, thanks a lot for your feedback ! :)
@andreadbx Thanks for your feedback !
@doppler-affect Thank you so much ! We're working on it :)
@caetano-costa Thanks a lot ! Your feedback is on point, we still have a lot of work to do :)
@r8teful Thank you for your feedback ! We were lacking time to integrate player guidance, but definitely some improvements we're going to make in the future ! :)
@pigeon-dp Thanks for your feedback !
@whole-garbage-sale Thank you for your feedback ! We didn't have enough time for the balancing, I think we're going to update the build so the dragon could be passed :)
@rose Thank you so much ! We're really happy that you liked it ! We're definitely going to make a post jam update (maybe several) to improve the game :)
@laine-lai Thank you for your feedback ! Totally agree with you, and we're really motivated to improve it in a post jam update ! :)

The artwork on this game is absolutely stunning, that's what really caught my eye! The amount of quality art you were able to make in the jam time is really impressive. The gameplay is also solid and entertaining, though I think the difficulty jump from the other enemies to the dragon is a bit extreme. I see other people have commented about the lack of sound and feedback animations for the enemy attacks and health situation... I would love to play this again once you've added some of those, since I think that would really tie everything together.

I read through the comments and I can fully underline the strong points and the needed improvements of the game.
As people mentioned: The visuals are great. The card design is good and the icons on the cards are visible and clear. The overall style fits together. I like the colour palette. The pictures are well made.
I can't make a connection to the Ludum Dare theme "depths". Could you tell me what your idea was? You asked in a post, if the boss is too strong and I think the difficulty from the last enemy to the boss was extremly high.
It's very nice that you could choose from different starting characters with different abilities. I'm curious how your project will look in the future, if you keep working on it. Congrats for finishing the game! :)

Really fun game! Definitely going to come back and play it a couple times - I wanna beat the dragon! I think the jump in difficulty from level 6 to 7 is a bit extreme, but it feels like a challenge I *want* to take on instead of a loss so devastating I'd never revisit it. The art is SO good, seriously incredible, and I love the magical and bright vibe. Overall a solid game, y'all did a great job! Some music or sounds would push it over the top in polish, but it's awesome as it is! <3 Hope you had fun making it.
A great system that I find is well-designed and easy to understand despite the amount of information the player has to understand on the job for a jam game test. It's beautiful and enjoyable to play despite the lack of sound, thanks for the game!

Really nice art, but without visual feedback it is a bit hard to really understand the attacks. With a few tweens you can make it feel much more lively with relatively little effort. The gameplay is pretty solid, and I got to the dragon pretty easily, but the jump to the boss was quite big!

Crazy amount of work here, holy wow. The card art is great and the whole experience feels very polished and cohesive. I played a Moon's Curse/Flower Bouquet build and enjoyed it
The art style is really beautiful and I appreciate the visual clarity, I was able to tell what each icon meant (except for magical shield) before I even read the tutorial.
As others have mentioned the game could use more polish, especially when it comes to feedback so we can better track what's going on, I see that that's a planned feature and understand that there is only so much one can due in 3 days. I did manage to play a couple of rounds and had fun. Nice work and great art!

I just realised the art style looked familiar! You made that very cute game in LD55!
Good game concept with incredible gfx, maybe just one little advice to improve the game feel for future versions (if you plan to) : it really lacks some visual and sfx feedbacks, for visual, you can just add some tween animation to your cards to insist on damage taken/done, what type of shield is touched etc (https://docs.godotengine.org/fr/4.x/classes/class_tween.html). For SFX, you can either choose some online sfx generator like sfxr https://sfxr.me/ or dig some CC0 audio files on https://opengameart.org/ (i'm sure you can find here some satisfying card noises ^^) Congratz btw !
Wow, really liked this entry! The art style is so magnificent and gameplay was pretty fun too! This game has a huge potential to become something very cool in the future. Would be cool to add some SFX, VFX and animations for game and it will become way more beautiful. So cute game, excellent job! :gift_heart:

The visuals are so cute ! And I love the colors :heart: I think that maybe the game is to easy for the first six levels and at the seventh reaaaaally harder, but anyway it was a great game ! Congrats :clap:

Really beautiful and vibrant art. The concept is great, but the game lacks balance and design in the combat aspect: every fight up to the 7th was very easy, and then the 7th fight completely knocked out my magical boy. It would be nice to gradually ramp up the difficulty, showing that you need to do more than just stack damage.
Otherwise, it's a wonderful piece of work! I'd love to play a full version!

Really cute card game! It's style is adorable and it's fun to scale dmg and knock down monster after monster >:P I do feel like it would benefit from some kind of feedback when you do or take dmg though, took me some time to realise when exactly it was happening till I eyed my stats like a hawk lol.

@enad96 Thank you so much !
@borabee Thanks a lot for your feedback ! We definitely need to do some balancing through to levels :)
@lllarso Thank your for your feedback ! Sure, we used "Depths" theme as environment, you're going down in the depths of a dungeon :)
@onlyallygrace Thank you so much ! We had a lot of fun doing the game, but we were also a bit disapointed because we wanted to de more (damn time management is hard), overall a great experience ! We can't wait to polish the game ! We reduced the dragon level, so now it's possible to beat him !
@apophatique Thank you so much ! We're glad that you liked it ! :)
@nsadie Thanks for your feedback ! Definitely needs some animations and balancing, we're going to work on that later on ! OMG Thanks that's so cool that you recognized my art style !!
@ruslana Thank you so much !
@daniel Thanks !! We hope so ! :)
@poboy Thanks so much !
@0x-void-x0 Thanks for your feedback ! Happy to know that the icons were understandable ! :)
@jacky-san Thank you so much for the advices ! We'll make sure to check that (thanks for the links) :)
@shadyshade Thanks a lot ! That's so motivating to get feedbacks encouraging us to continue the development !
@norah Thank you so much ! We reduced the Dragon's level so now it's possible to beat him !
@missfire Thank you so much for your feedback ! The game definitely needs some balancing and more work but we're motivated !
@ogladian Definitely ! Thanks for your feedback ! :)

Really cool card game! I wish I finally made one myself, maybe next time. :D
As someone who played a lot of Slay the Spire, this reminded me of it in the best possible way. I really liked the large amount of different cards and their skill combinations, as well as the really big variation of enemy types. And the art style is amazing! I loved it all, characters, cards and enemies. The Octoplush was probably my favourite. :D I've played the game twice with Athena and once with each of the other two characters and so far I've managed to only reach the Dragon three times. I'm hopeful with a few more tries I will be able to defeat him. :)
Others have already mentioned that it would be cool to have some sort of animation to better see enemies' attacks causing damage, and I agree with that. If you come to the game without much prior knowledge, you might get confused as to what's happening at what time. One thing that I'd also like is to see what the max HP of my character is - a few times I was wondering if it was worth it to use the healing skill, or if I'd just waste the card and a turn because I'm already at full HP or close to it.
Overall, the game is really cool, I hope you keep working on it! :]
It's such a cute looking game! I love the design a lot, but I was a bit confused by the absence of even small sounds, and of the turns orders. Of course it's obvious that first we move and then the enemy but it took me sometime to realize that my health is decreasing. Apart from those things I feel this game has a very good potential! And I like that there are three starter pokemo...I mean magical girl/boy options, I love their designs! Good one :)

Really interesting and beautiful art style! Speaking from experience, balancing a card game in such a short time is super tough – but this is a really solid foundation. Personally, I would’ve loved to have a bit more choice, like some kind of mana system or limits on how many cards you can play per turn. But overall, super impressive work – excited to see where it goes!

@lcstark Thank you so much for your warm feedback ! So happy that a deck builder lover like you enjoyed the game ! It's a lot of work but if you want to create one as well do it ! It's worth the pain haha
@momotiktik Thanks a lot ! Totally understandable, we need to spend some time on the sound design and animations so it finally looks like what we have in mind !
@doridie Thank you so much for you feedback ! Your analysis is on point, we need to implement a few more features so it increases the player choices impact :)

Interesting mix of slay the spire and wildfrost. The graphics are absolutely adorable. Music and animations are a bit lacking. Apparently I encountered a bug where enemies attack twice. There are some balance issues, but overall I enjoyed it very much.
So much potential here, I had a lot of fun ! It probably was mentioned before but obviously it lacks some balancing but most importantly some feedbacks, it took me a few turn to realize that my character and the ennemy attacks at the same time, and a few battle to realize Im getting attacked when I draw lol
But then again it is a jam, and the fact that you were able to implement all those systems and cards with no game breaking bug is already amazing. Well done ! And the graphics are gorgeous, I would have actually played slay the spire if it had those graphics.
It's really magnificent, the colors, the drawings and the whole developed universe are superb... on the other hand I have trouble understanding the gameplay of the card game... are there combos and things like that... and also the impacts and the gamefeel are a little lacking

You put a really solid spin on the Slay the Spire formula; the main thing I felt was missing was more variety in the way the cards worked - there's only so many times I can get excited for cards that plainly deal damage or grant shielding
The game could also use some more feedback for the player - some animations and the like, y'know?
Really hoping you keep expanding on this idea in the future, your project looks very promising - thanks so much for the game!
