Love the pumping music and the cat theme! Nice looking city and whoa there's even fire coming out of the car when going super fast!
I tried to play with a mouse but it was quite difficult and after quite a few tries still only managed to get like 500 points. Though partially my fault because the music and the bonus countdown make me drive too fast  :boom: :red_car:
I used shift+right-click on the LD website to open the game frame in it's own tab which made it a bit better.

I really like the music and the visuals is also pretty good. The controls is simple and fun, and I had fun driving around. The bonus timer was way too fast and I was never able to get any bonus points. But overall a fun little game. Well done.

@bernhard Thanks for the comment! Go fast in straight lines and turn slow and you'll be ok. I recommend to plag it on a cellphone though. Good tip con the shift+right click. Going to check your game as soon as I can =O)

@jk5000 One thing I wanted to add is different difficulties being this one "normal" as when you get practice it gets pretty easy. Stay in touch for post-jam updates on the itch.io link. Thanks for your review. I'll get to your game as soon as I can.

Nice simple prototype. I like the car controlling.
Reminds me of a 2D crazy taxi. Intresting controls. The music is jamming.

@gonzo13 Thanks for playing my game! Indeed feels like a prototype, had a lot of side ideas which I struggled to keep to myself in order to finish within time. But fixes are already being applied and a future develop of some of thos ideas on the inkwell. Had lots of fun delivering vodka on you game!
funny intro :joy: laughed immediately.
noticed that you made the audio by "Yamaha keyboard recorded with my phone processed on audacity". Unique approach!
I like it!
The control is hard but in a minute I can feel it natural, the theme maybe is a simple use but it's fine, the music fit very well with the game and the game design is simple too but in the best way.
Congratulations!
Loved the sound effects and the vibe of the game. In general it was a very fun little game to spend time delivering kittens.
I played it on my smartphone and I felt like you could have delivered the controls using a different mechanics, because initially I kept crashing into walls and in order for the speed of the car to be under control I had to put my finger at the top of the screen of the smartphone.
Anyway, the aesthetics of the game were simple and beautiful. Very good job in general!!! Keep up!!!

Really great compo entry! I played on the PC with a mouse, and while the control scheme might have been a bit difficult, I think it works pretty well, especially when you get used to it after several tries. One thing I'd change is to reduce the camera "look ahead" motion - it makes the screen too shaky when turning, especially when moving at higher speeds. Other than that, it's great, it does have that old Atari games vibe to it. :)

@deadbydeath Thanks for playing my game! I absolutely understand the "finger on the screen problem". As I only got 48 hours to make the game I decided to use them on other aspects of the game. A virtual joystick is definitely on my homework for the next game update after the jam. Had a fun time with your pizza kittens!

@lcstark Thenks for your comment! Aimed to "Atari vibe" so I'm really glad with you feeling it. The "look ahead camera" is another fix I plan to do after the jam as my math didn't portrait what i had exactly in mind but considered it was "close enough" for sharing that focus with other aspects. Loved the bluepinty clean aesthetic of your game!
Funny idea and quirky aspect ratio on PC. It's fun and playable and I really love the style! I always appreciate a good game where you have to rescue kittens! I love how everything is clear and visible and I felt like I know what to do and how to do it! Many points for clarity! At times, the instant stop mechanic when letting go seems a bit over powered? I could just tap click my way through tight corners, but still it's a bit difficult and punishing with only one hit reset. I love how there are flames on the car, and tire tracks on the ground when going fast! I like going fast!
Funny and nice game, I like this kind of "accuracy-required" game! And very good music.

Really liked the music and the little kittens :cat: ! The mechanic of steering the car is interesting but due to screen shake on the desktop a bit difficult. Will need to try this on my phone. Some sort of drift functionality would be neat. Fun idea tho, to create a mobile game. All in all, I enjoyed myself with this cool submission!

I have already met enough top-down races at this jam, and so far I liked this one the most. The controls are quite responsive, plus it’s cool and unusual to control the car with a mouse (as I understand the orientation was on a mobile device?). The camera feels too twitchy, which causes a kind of nausea.
It would be cool to have a normal fullscreen mode with a 3:4 or 16:9 aspect ratio. It would also be interesting to drive to other locations where you could speed up enough (not a maze). And something definitely needs to be done with the camera. But the work is decent, especially for COMPO.
PS: Recording an electronic synthesizer with a phone is what made me smile at first, and then I looked at how the PSR-260 is connected to a PC, and the smile disappeared from my face.
Simple game but A LOT OF FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! Great intro of the game!! Music and sfx was a banger!!! Gameplay was bit tough at start, but I liked and started to master it!!!
Awesome submission!! Also play my game!!!

@tosmaster Thanks for your comment! Definitely the "auto stop" is overpowered. Just slowing down really makes you invincible, but the urge to go fast is the only real enemy. Thinking in adding a little "momentum" to the car on a future update. Loved your thruster games. I love thruster games :)

@stuembi Happy thet you had fun! Some "momentum" mechanics to be added once the jam is over. Loved the graphics of your frog game!

@arsher Thanks for the comment! Definitely the camera needs some work. My math couldn't portrait exactly what I had in mind. In theory I could use the keyboard as a MIDI controller but is from the 90´s and couldn't find the right cable yet. Big screen version and different maps to be added after the jam ends. Loved your penguin game, so natural to know what to do.

@random-ideation-studios So glad you had fun! PLayed your robot delivery game as far as I could. Tough platfomer!
I played this on an iPad which actually seemed ideal as I was getting quite good at it by the end of my time with it.
Like you say above, putting your foot (finger?) to the floor on straights and carefully turning is the best plan, but it is possible to be a bit more reckless once you get used to it.
Good level of polish mechanically and visually. For reasons I can't quite articulate it remind me a little of a GBA racing game called Driven I played a lot as a kid 😋
The music is great. Good driving beat!
The into to the post-jam version is great. Good laugh from that.

I found the controls to be too clunky but that might be me just being bad. Great music and graphics though.

@magus77 Thanks! For the time being, a screenshot of the score is the only way. Hope to learn how to make an online highscore. Liked the ambience of your cooking game!

@teddyreid Just saw a Driven gameplay and WHOAH! the car sets on fire and turn itself in some kind of meteor! Loved your game! The pixelart with that shader looks awesome. Nice job!

This is a rather neat game, trying to balance speed and precision is fun, but i wish the camera was a little more zoomed out, and maybe the car could crash a bit less. It felt like things got too fast too quick at times. The music is nice and the graphics are also pretty good, the fire behind the car were pretty good looking and made things feel a lot more dynamic.
Lol, this game was really hard but addicting. I didn't think I'd actually be able to not crash but I got the hang of it. Wish it tied with the theme more which is my only criticism
"Saint George has been entrusted by God to deliver kittens with his sports car" Hahaha. Okay I'm interested! The music really vibes and fits the game well! The game window resolution seemed a bit confining, I found it hard to see what was coming next to the left/right. I like the mouse controls though, with the car moving faster the further away your mouse is from it! I couldn't seem to get fullscreen to work. An amazing premis and well-executed too!
Pretty cool! Felt quite good to control, nice to be able to slow down or speed up so fast and make such tight turns. Still difficult somehow, with how few hits you could take. Music is nice and tense, adding to the urgency. Nice that the timer is only for bonus and doesn't make you fail completely if it runs out. Looks pretty good too. I imagine it feels even better on mobile. Overall nothing too new but well executed. C:
Fun little game! Mastering the controls went deeper than I thought at first. Some good retro vibes got me going too with the aspect ratio and them there pixels.
I had a lot of fun, keep up the great work!!

@brigart Thanks! Your game give me Oregon trail vibes. Awesome graphics!
Really cool entry! I might try it again on touchscreen later, but the car felt nice to control. It was a bit annoying to have to wait for the title screen animation to play every attempt.
If you polished this up, I think it could be a really great mobile game. Nice work!
