it's a little unclear what's happening here. so do i just keep clicking the button? there's no real visual feedback aside from the numbers at the bottom. maybe i'm missing something.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Dragon Space

This is a pretty decent clicker game. I liked that as I went I could see how far I had gotten compaired to real stars and planets (and other such astronomical bodies). I do wish the the actual text for light years per second was in a better place (somewhere closer to the button) and was a little bit larger so that it was easier to see as one of my favorite things about clickers is watching the numbers go up.
Really neat idea to use real world data, gives you a sense of just how big the universe is. Nice game!
The idea to use real life star data is really cool. While playing and getting really fast, it had me overwhelmed by the thought of just how big the universe is. Going so fast and passing tons of objects that are just an unimaginable amount of distance away at such a high speed. I would be excited to try again when the parts system is out to reach greater speeds.
Nice idea to have a clicker game to understand the depth of space. It would have been nice to have some visualisation of this depth rather than just the list, or proportional space between elements ( a zooming effect as you accelerate).
The audio is cool, is that procedural music generating during the game or did you generated one fixed version ?
"get out and push" haha I love it
Some of those numbers at the bottom are insane! I got up to 10LY/S so i could see the stars fly past, very nice and chill idle game. Also who doesn't love dragons?
I like the idea of showing the emptyness of space and the text is pretty funny too. But I would have loved to see the standard mechanics of a clicker game like upgrades.
I personally liked this one a lot, even though I usually don't like clickers. Slowly accelerating and eventually breezing by the distant stars really helps reinforce the enormity of our universe.
Very impressive and well executed on all fronts!.
Love this idea for a clicker! Would love to see an advanced version with complicated spaceship upgrade mechanics.
Also I think the sequel should use relativistic physics :stuck_out_tongue: so that you can never actually hit the speed of light, but because of time dilation we could still visit some distant places in our lifetime. I think that's how it works, I'm not a physicist.
Nice game!
I am not a fan of clickers, but this one have a lot of great ideas! I like how the narration is done, and I am absolutely in love with the music and the mood it sets.
Great job 💕
Wow, this really puts things into perspective. Especially when you reach 500.000 times lightspeed and then scroll down and realize it's still going to take millions of years to reach the last galaxies. Especially the clicking really makes you get a sense of effort.
