Cool game! Interesting idea. It was a little difficult to find a good balance and it wasn't entirely clear what each item did until you used it. I think the art looked very nice but you don't get to look at it as much when your main focus is the control and sustain bars on the side. Perhaps a more interesting way of displaying this information would be that the grass dies and turns brown when the eco meter gets low, and dimmer lighting when your power is low. I think something similar to that would be a nice touch to make the game more visually pleasing. Other than that, great job!
Let me start by saying that the graphics are gorgeous! Maybe a little to much motion blur. It was hard to uncover what items where intractable, this is mostly due to the fact that you can't select a new item while the menu for another one is open. Also please add a`controls` and `how to play` section to the description page itself and the game, not just the comments. The music was very pleasing and relaxing, exactly what I would suspect from a game like this. Overall well done, keep it up!
Thank you for the comments and reviews ! Highly appreciate them :) We were just a team of two so we couldnt really add in everything we wanted. The meter system and mechanics still need a lot of work and we plan to fully finish and then publish the game. We kinda rushed it on the last day since we had a lot on our plate for 72 hours but we are quite happy with the outcome since this is our first game in general and first game any jam. We appreciate the critical feedback so help us improve the game :)
The low-poly look is perfection.
I'm not sold on the wall of text to explain the game though. I realize that a jam game doesn't give much time for a proper tutorial to be built out.
But what is here is wonderful.
Really like the mood of the game, music and art is amazing but didnt like the sudden change when you cant find the balance. The death menu was like what , it was so sudden.
The low-poly models looked really nice! It would be nice if the tutorial screen you posted here was in-game. Also some way to know where the interactable items are would be good. The difficulty is a bit high, I played for about 10 minutes trying repeatedly and I couldn't figure out how to make things last past day 4. I found: stove, ac, computer, tap and sprinkler. Was there some essential item I missed or was I just not using the ones I had correctly?
This is so relaxing! I love the look and feel of it!
Nice idea and world. It would be good if the windows closed themselves when you click on something else. Also there is no good feedback and information presentation to the player what he needs to do to keep the bars up. What is "Cooked, not raw" supposed to mean, and what happens when I enable the stove?.. it only seemed to bring the green bar down. Does one need to do more?
@wheybags ty for your feedback !! those were all the items in the game.
Nice idea and the graphics were quite nice! The audio helped set a relaxed mood. More in-game hints for what each item did and which items could be interacted with would have been nice. Overall, solid work!
Wow great art team, really like the mood of your entry. Good job for first LD keep it up you're in good way to improve ^^
Very cool game concept!
I really like the low-poly aesthetic!
The camera controls nicely.
If there was something to improve, it would be nice to have a tutorial explaining the core objective and how the items help accomplish that or hurt that.
Also, I was having a hard time figuring out which items I could interact with, especially since some items I can click at from one camera angle, but not from another.
The art is great, as well as relaxing music and gameplay! Instructions in game description are clear but I don't like the font used, it'd be nice if you could switch it to something more eco-looking? Just a suggestion. It was a fun to discover how stuff in-game affect the meters ^^ if you're going to patch the game, you can add the how-to to the game menu and improve game-menu fonts as well to make this game clearer from the beginning as I see many people are confused. also nice camera controls! overall, a great first entry! my first LD game wasn't even half as good xD
@dane-tesla Thankyou very much for the feedback! A lot of people wanted a 'how to play' option in the menu, and I probably would have too if I didn't help make the game XD. We spent about half an our on all of the main menu and death screens as we had almost ran out of time, so we had to keep a limited menu, sorry for that...
@silas-reinagel Thank-you for the feedback! I understand many people wanted a bit more help with controls, we had only 30 mins to create a main menu, as we had almost run out of time, I am very sorry...
@randdir Thank-you very much for the nice comment, you made my day :)
@zollmaniac Thank-you for the feedback, I understand we should have added a tutorial in to the game, unfortunately we didn't have much time left before we had to submit the game...
@rednaxelus Yes, we are still working on the game now, we were tied up with time so we couldn't add much more in to the game, sorry and thanks for the feedback! :)
@bitpokit Thank-you for the comment! :)
Looks gorgeous! You have packed here quite much for a game jam and I think the objective of the game fits the theme quite nicely! A great entry I must say
The game looks very nice and the music and atmosphere is well done. A very good first entry. Balancing bars is a very good start when making games. The next step would be to explain how to play the game to the player. - You could lock a few bars and objects at the start. This way you can prevent an overload of options and information to the player. Then they can explore the game in layers. - It was unclear what I could interact with. You could highlight them or add icons. Onboarding could also work. - It was unclear what each object did, a tooltip or some icons could help here as well. - The bars themselves were filling up very quickly and draining very quickly, resulting in a pretty fast game over state.
I hope to see you in the future!
This is cool. I love the low-poly objects, and when they are lighten they look so beautiful. Also the music is relaxing and pleasant. Great job!
Challenging game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/NFvpzo131Hc
Cool idea! As others have stated, it took me a while figure out what I could click on, and how these things effected the various levels of the 4 attributes I was trying to keep up. It wasn't super always super clear which would do what, for example I thought turning on the AC might positively effect the 'green' bar, but it negatively effected it, which I think is because AC units running are bad for the environment maybe? Some more clarity across all of this could've added a lot. Also a border on hover over objects that were interactable would be great. But overall the room was very pretty and the ambiance was on point, nice job!
Now, I can admit, many people need psychological advice. In reality, online therapy isn't fast, right now. I had one, I did not at first think it was, but no. I had one. It helped me a lot to resolve panic attacks due to the world. I also expect that we will now speak to the therapist about [lgbt online therapy](https://calmerry.com/try-lgbt-counseling/) . I'm so glad I did it. I'm very pleased. Since look and get acquainted. I hope many would find it very helpful as it was useful to me in the past. Happiness!
