LD46 — Keep it alive

Inhabitable by inzombiak 2020-04-23T01:22:40Z

Between the graphics and the amazing musical composition, I thoroughly enjoyed your game. It's easy to get caught in that gameplay loop, and I had a smile on my face the whole time. The only thing I would add is maybe a high score. Bravo!!

The Last Green by hunttis 2020-04-23T01:47:27Z

I like the concept, but I feel like towers didn't always shoot where I thought they would have. If you were to continue this project going forward, I think it would be neat to see different types of towers that had different bullet sprays or something. If you did that you could also make different towers cost different amounts of green, which could make for interesting scenarios with different strategies. I enjoyed the music once it picked up! Overall, I think it is the beginning of something great

Mission Control by thedeadlybutter 2020-04-24T20:19:21Z

I really enjoyed your game! Quick and fun. I've never worked with PICO-8 but I always love the art that comes from it.

I really enjoyed your game! I think you did a great job adapting the theme. At first I was a bit disoriented, but I got the hang of things pretty quickly. The upgrades were nice as well; it felt like a smooth progression from phase to phase.

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-05-03T20:45:06Z

Really fun game! The art was great and the concept worked really well with the theme. My only critique is that I think upgrading the 8-directional shooting to something smoother would do your game justice. Overall, still a great game!

Time Agent: Protect the VIP by kasperhangard 2020-04-21T17:11:06Z

What a great concept to be able to fit in one weekend! The humor rocked, and it was really fun going back and retracing the steps of the assassins. Overall, I was a big fan!

Survive: eat or be eaten by jondkoon 2020-04-23T00:54:19Z

I really liked your game! My only critique is that I felt like I was sliding more than I would have liked to, but overall, it was really fun! I like the simple art too!

SquishySlimes by Spyri 2020-05-03T21:20:35Z

I liked the game, but I thought it could have been fleshed out a little more. To the player, slimes dying to arrows has no effect on gameplay, therefore, there might not be incentive to save the slimes. I think it would be awesome if you made some sort of incentive to keep the slimes alive. Also, maybe the game ends when the player lets a certain number of slimes die. I think that would give the player more incentive to play. Congrats on publishing your first project!

The controls seemed a bit inconsistent between levels, and I also noticed that the music didn't loop. I think the concept is strong, but I think it could use a bit more balancing

do not go gently by nsadie 2020-04-24T20:31:04Z

This was probably one of my favorite games I've played so far! The atmosphere was great! Between the music and the eyes constantly staring me down, I felt a sense of urgency to get the radio parts. I will say, I felt like it was a tad easy, something that could be remedied maybe by lengthening the game (something I think you guys should seriously do post-jam, I love the concept!). Overall, I loved this jam game! Fantastic job!

Slime Mama by Jack Kaloger 2020-04-21T16:50:58Z

The movement felt very nice, however, I thought it was tough to fill the bar since you could only carry one piece of food at a time. Loved the art too. Overall, I really enjoyed it!

Bugs And Glitches v1.0 by PeelyGames1019 2020-05-03T21:08:18Z

I liked your game. The graphics were nice, but I wasn't a huge fan of the music personally. I also noticed the actual game bug that caused the game to end before I defeated the last enemy. Overall, fun time.

Squatch Watch: Keeping The Myth Alive by picross 2020-04-23T01:15:36Z

There is so much to love about this game. From the art style to the fun concept, to the lowkey chill bg music. I was a big fan (no pun intended) of your game!!

Apple Panick by peterfiftyfour 2020-04-24T21:05:31Z

I adore the art style, and the music is great too! I only wish there was a way to speed up the process of the plants growing. Even just some bg music during the main gameplay loop would be nice. Overall I enjoyed this game a lot!

OwOrbit by AudreyC 2020-04-23T01:53:52Z

I love the art and the concept, but my goodness is it difficult. I really like how switching rotation directions helps you survive, but there were some times were I felt completely surrounded and incapable of saving myself or the moon. But like I said, the concept is great, and the art is amazing. Music fits the art too.

SeaTurtle Safety Squad by PrimalShadow 2020-04-23T01:32:24Z

That was really enjoyable, and honestly made me pretty anxious! It was hectic (in a good way) how you have to micromanage moving trash and crabs while also scaring away the seagulls. And I thought it was a great take on the theme!

Mr. Cheesy by SAVVU 2020-05-03T20:56:32Z

What else could I possibly add? How can you not love Mr. Cheesy?

It's Alive! ...Keep it That Way by erkoply 2020-04-21T16:01:17Z

I really enjoyed the concept of reverse operation! The music and art rocked, and I really felt the pressure to be cautious. I also thought the adaptation of the theme was great!
