this game looks suuuuper pretty
i had an issue with the hitboxes on a lot of the UI elements - it seemed like they were all offset by a bit upwards, which made it hard to click things
other than that, very polished game!

amazing game <3
I got so nostalgic playing it, it's impressive it was done in such a short time. the art is on point and the music keeps growing immersive along the game
congrats
@badcop Thanks, I believe this is fixed now. There was a missing window resize callback, so the viewport didn't update properly in some situations.
What a beautifull game, it got me wanting more, great job!!
Hey, this game is really cool, pulled me in for a ton of time. The graphics and dialogues are great, had a lot of fun. Great work!
Hello! The art is super great.
This looks and feels like a real Japanese visual novel.. good job.
Had a great time. Really great art, music, sound, tight writing and expressive characters! Hallway humor is criminally unrepresented in games.
So much content and so good too, that's all really fun and good game, love the creepy dialogue and character westanreikou
I came from squuuidly twitch stream. You have a very nice game here, so much content, and graphics are incredible. Congratulations
What I liked most about this game was its balance of being lighthearted while still keeping ominous tension in the background. The dialogue is funny with a lot of personality, and you don't really find any threats for most of floor 1. Of course, after a couple run-ins with the alien on floor 2 you start to realize just how bad things can get. So the end result is you still feel like you're in a lighthearted romp of sorts, but the threat of the alien forces you to at least try to play optimally and to get the hell outta there. It's certainly a great incentive.
I couldn't actually complete the game though :( I got to the part with grabbing the Gundoom model but I may have missed a key piece of dialogue because I wasn't too sure where to go next. I went to every room, searched whenever I could search, and tossed a good amount of flashbangs.
Regardless, I enjoyed my time with it and I'm still curious what the 3rd woman will be like given how different the first two are. Might give it another go before the review period ends!
This is really good. I love this kind of games. The writing was fun nad the artstyle was exeptional. Finding my way through the ship was a bit hard since the map didn't have a legend. I
Take this to KS. Polish this one up a bit. Drop it as your demo. I guarantee you will get funded.
This is just talent. My only feedback is something Pedipanol told me on my stream you intended to do but the fact that tossing the holotapes doesn't really do much to seal off a room or use the map to its advantage. The monster doesn't have a "presence" outside of an integer monster_closeness that is decremented -1 every room you go to.
Also I appreciate there not being a jumpscare.
Anyways, that's really it, see you in the top 100, if not top 10.
most beautiful game i have ever seen
Insanely impressive to see something like this come from a game jam, full of an intense atmosphere that even Yuki's musing couldn't quite clear the anxiety I felt hoping that I wouldn't have to see what she was so frightened of. The artwork and the music helped sell that emotion. Really fantastic job!!
Baller, for real kudos
Man, I love old-school adventure games like this. Brings me back to the early 90s. Great dialogue and story, really suspenseful, *awesome* pixel art, the works. Really feels like the first chapter of a full, polished adventure game you'd find for sale. Incredible work!
i personally really like this games's vibes in general, it won a lot of points w/ me. the UI, the song, sound effects, the genre and art is really enticing — the atmosphere overall was the reason i decided to play this game but the storyline and gameplay was another bonus that made me stay. my only problem was more towards the constant mention of nsfw topics, which felt more uncomfy instead of funny — like it seemed like it was supposed to be — after the first few times. besides that i really like the dialogues the main character gives out also the sprites, it gives a lot of characterization to her and the same goes for reiko. the humor would make the mood lighthearted but then i would be bought back to what was happening when i saw the danger warning and it would get tense again, was really fun trying to do strategies so i wouldnt trap myself while running from xenos. also i noticed that when u reload the game the rooms changes places in the map and i really liked this aspect as it refrains the player from memorizing and redoing their steps in other tries.
This feels very nostalgic. The art is really good and the sound as well. I really felt the suspense and dread as I moved around the ship. Great work here, a really polished experience.
Wow, great style in every way! Interesting combination of moods and styles. Instant hook into the plot. I found the pressing-multiple-buttons-to-move-between-rooms just a little annoying. Would be curious to hear what you mean by "An improved version of a previous LD entry" - is this actually more than 72 hours work? (sure seems like it :)
The art and illustrations are great, great job! It's not my favorite type of game but I enjoyed it a lot, the UI is very well thought out and the gameplay too. Well done!! xD
Very cool game realization, IDEA! It's fantastic work
El arte de este juego es increible, muy buena atmósfera :stars: :space_invader:
@choo Look at our LD45 entry. We re-used the concept, but all of the code, assets, etc are new.
(Glad you added the clarification on what you reused from LD45!)
The atmosphere and overall mood on this was SUPERB. Everything integrated really well together. The amount of artwork, rooms and character cards is really impressive. I got lost in this for a while! I loved how the controls were integrated into the UI -- that felt very immersive. Using music (and danger level) to indicate the proximity of the monster was really smart. I do wish that as I moved back through rooms, the movement controls displayed immediately, but that was just a personal pacing preference.
I really appreciate all the effort that went into making this. Great job team!
I really enjoyed my time spent on the ship with 3 quirky heroines. Amazing music! Art, audio, writing - everything works together to create an engaging experience, that I couldn't put down until I've got the lander repaired and ready to go! I love the writing - as other players mentioned, keeping things lighthearted and funny while still not destroying the omnious atmosphere. Got major retro vibes with the UI/Gameplay, and it was very refreshing to play a non-action oriented title here! It's really, really good. I got eaten by the monster once and I was already getting mentally ready to re-do everything from start but I was pleasantly surprised that there was a savepoint!
The music getting more intense when close to the danger is super cool. I love the 8bit track and it's now stuck in my head after playing ;)
I was not sure what the monster does to the rooms - as it was described as total destruction, so I was afraid that I could lock myself out from a solution by destroying key items/rooms - but after a few encounters it seemed like there was no negative consequences (does it destroy the pick-upable items like decoys and flashbangs?). At the end the monster did not pose real threat in my mind - I just had to click the right option when the danger got close... but the mood was still there :v:
Lovely entry! Keep it up, hoping to see a major narrative-based hit coming from this team!
I really liked how the characters interrupted each other sometimes, it's text based but conveyed emotion and personalities very good!
Very polished and immersive game. I played all the way through the end, and I actually wasn't sure if I got a bad ending, until I remembered what the theme was, so if that was intentional, that would've been a good enough reason to fit the theme.
I beat the original two years ago, glad to see an improved version! The checkpoints made the game much more forgiving than the original, and the map made it easier to navigate. Great entry! I think some of the text scrolling could be slowed down, it felt like some parts skipped over without input
Oozing with style! This is very impressive, the team clearly knew what they were doing. I'm checking out your previous work and can see that this isn't a fluke. I really love the mood of navigating abandoned rooms, and that growing tense music as the xeno approaches. The writing was great, I loved where the story begins and that you drip fed the details. You got me with that anachronistic (or nostalgic) LCD map graphic. I enjoyed this game alot.
