Can't run. Msvcp120.dll missing, or something.
The file is really large. Are there some assets not required to run it included in the rar?
Seppel, thanks for pointing that out. I noticed I forgot to package the Win32 build. Ill build that soon!
I can't see to be able to find the Win32 exe. Is it my fault?
First: Please provide a x86 package for those who still run 32-Bit (fortunately not me), your Msvcp120.dll could be solved by searching your msvcp120.dll and putting it into the binaries folder (or for those who want to play it earlier, go to http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=40784)
Can't rate, only 64-bit binaries supplied (I'm on 32-bit system) :(
The graphics look really nice, especially considering how minimal the characters are. I really like the vibe. Some of the decorations in the spaces make the world come alive, like the boxes just sitting around make the world seem lived in.
On the other hand the motion blur makes the game run super slowly on my machine, I'm probably getting 5 or 6 FPS. That makes it hard to aim and hard to tell what's going on when I shoot things. When I die the game locks up.
I love the overkill choice of engine! The looks are awesome. :)
Yeah Im so sorry about that guys, this is the first time I was the one to publish the game in UE4 (or any game for that matter) so Im a real nub! Ill get it fixed here soon for you!
Projectiles were shot to the right of the crosshair, but other than that, it was pretty solid!
For those that have been able to play the game, thanks for all the positive feedback and little quirks you pointed out! For those who have a 32 bit OS, I should get something published in the next 30 minutes! Sorry
Ok, I was able to run it after downloading the vc redistributable helco linked. I didn't manage to make it to the boss, but I killed a decent number of enemies.
There seems to be a bug where if an enemy is too close neither of you can hit each other.
Awww dammit! Another win64 game :'C... Maybe at my other PC.
The Win32 redist now replaced the Win64! Im really sorry to all who couldnt play it! :C
Can't run too. Msvcp120.dll missing
Ah found that issue. It requires Visual Studio, Ill just package the DLL with the binaries
It was nice to see UnrealE4 being used, I didn't expect that. The mix of high end graphics with large pixel sprites looks good too. AI seemed very minimal and often got stuck. Also game seems to hang on death. Overall very nice! Good job!
Thanks 8BitPimp :) The AI was a tricky part considering AI documentation is nonexistent and its still not officially completed in the engine yet.
Nice job. Best graphical fidelity I've seen so far. Getting a few lag spikes even on a very high end machine, but other than that good game!
Can't rate, some required dependency is missing relating to DirectX. If you need a specific version of DX installed you should state it.
missing dll :(
woah, it looks fantastic! and this was my first time playing an Unreal 4 game haha, kinda unstable though.
Kiririn: Yeah the reason its unstable is because the engine isnt meant to handle crappy code :p I didnt really have time to make it run smooth considering I was already squeezing my time pretty thin using the engine.
Also, I found 2 more missing .dlls and am packaging them as we speak
That was one angry octopus thing (beat it on my first try though, so yay!). Loved the 2d sprite oriented in 3d thing going on. Some animation could be a good next step. Pretty mazeish.
This game has a very interesting art style
Good attempt, looks great but the gameplay could be tightened up a little.
Pretty cool! Environment's awesome and decent size of variation too. Made it to the boss before getting bullet-pwned :D
"Final" boss is tough. Nice UDK work.
IDK if it is just my shitty PC but the game is lagging like crazy!
Had a great time with this, was interesting seeing a high-end engine doing a lo-fi shooter. Worked really well. Great level design and lighting. Got up to the boss and died :(( Great work!!
Is it using vsync? My pc started to warm up and make weird noises... Graphics are interesting, couldn't test much more :/
The gameplay and graphics are awesome ! The only problem is the game ends fast :/ But it makes me want to play it again :D Well done !
Thanks for all the feedback guys! This is my first attempt building a full UE4 game so the performance really isnt good, sorry about that. Also WhiteWolf93, the game does have Vsync enabled, by default its set to 120FPS, but that can be changed in the .ini config file along with the rest of the graphics settings
Nevermind above, UE4 doesnt build with a .ini config file like UE3, I just assumed it did
You have been featured in today's episode of Ludum Dare to Believe! Check it out! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBrlCkST2es
Impressive graphics.
Very fun enemies.
Nice take on the theme.
Thank you so much Jwow and gre for the positive feedback, it means a lot to me! :D
Nice game. Beatiful graphics and shaders. I saw your game in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBrlCkST2es
