LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Twilight of Humanity by wilbefast 2014-12-13T17:21:00

Very cool game :) I had some stange flickering issues on my screen, but the experience was interesting.

For the Homeland! by Verz 2014-12-14T19:20:00

The initial information is a bit huge, but the game is very well rounded and easy to use after this point, good job !

Little Office Troubles by DrGeraud 2014-12-10T17:42:00

Very nice little game and cool graphic design ;)

Interezza by oskardevelopment 2014-12-11T13:50:00

Pretty hard, but really well thought, good job ! Dice rolling is pretty frustrating haha

Watch your head! by StejkRobot 2014-12-28T01:18:00

Reelly cool graphism, but clunky isometric rendering when jumping. Pretty interesting jump controlling overall

Yuki and Snow by Raiyumi 2014-12-09T12:30:00

Superb graphism and a really smooth design, i love it!

Spiral Wings by Joe Williamson 2014-12-10T11:07:00

Awesome graphics, awesome moving pattern on the character, everything about the layout (music, intro scene , etc... ) is perfect!
But the gameplay really lacks something exctiding. Besides the first 30sec where you enjoy A LOT how you can move, the game feels empty. U wander randomly waiting for the soul parts to spawn, and there is no real challenge besides waiting and moving your mouse.
Well, the theme wasn't a blast, but cutscenne + ingame scroll is kinda out of bounds .

As an interactive experience, it's near perfect !

The Corsair Bay by Ekilibr 2014-12-10T18:32:00

Nice effort on context and cling on system in game. The game's resolution was way bigger than my screen though :(

Lost Path by louis.denizet 2014-12-10T10:53:00

Great work !
The sound design and the graphics are so well put together, it's really cool. Nice scripting and level design.
The atmosphere is really well put together and the game design really revolves around the environnement with full coherence between everything :)

Commando Finest Hour by Meta-link 2014-12-10T18:15:00

Nice top down shooter, even if I secretly dreamed you could improve you last game's group of character control in a new one :) (don't trash that one !)
Maybe it could have been more exploration oriented..

The Forty by Ian 2014-12-10T09:58:00

Real nice game here ! It runs smooth, actions are clear and defined. The flip animation speed for building is a cool idea.
As said by Drtizzle, an escape button would have been appreciated, but that's not so bad.
Audio on such a game is not that important, and how to blame not to have the time during a jam , but worth pointing out it makes a game lose a bit of its appeal anyhow during gameplay ( less impact on user actions, etc )

Great game overall ! Loved to play sort of a strategic game on a Game jam, refreshing !

Crowdsourced by tigerbyte 2014-12-12T11:13:00

Good work ! Game concept is really cool and you did put it well into action for a 48 h jam.

Swotch by Ulydev 2014-12-10T10:41:00

Great game ! You got the most important tip for a small game success, screenShake !
Jokes aside, really nice polish on a simple but really functional idea. The work on the audio and transitions between menu and game is really awesome. Keep it up !

Birdy Bird by WisdomUnit 2014-12-10T10:10:00

I liked it for the fun use of the screen space !
A simpler version of flappy bird asie from that. A tad sad you didn't added something more crazy with the processing possibilities .

Jordan Bartholomew by J_Bart62 2014-12-10T10:18:00

The concept is interesting, even if not unique, but here's a few tips to make it more balanced:
-Make the blocks spawn only in a set of columns to make them pile up perfectly
-Lower the spawn rate at first, but increase it overtime, to let the player get used to the mechanics.

The boxes are deadly right now, i guess you wanted us to jump over the ones that have fallend and climb up to survive ? To ensure a box is not deadly anymore, give each box a "deadly" state that you turn off whenever it hits another box or wall.

Loading command by luker128 2014-12-10T10:26:00

Loved it ! The difficulty has in my opinion a perfect curve, and the visual combination of HP / loading capacity on our character (loading bar) is really cool ! The origin point for the shoot is pretty intuitive too.

Great one sir !

Where is my sword?! by Kaijuu 2014-12-10T10:34:00

Awesome graphics ! I love the idea, but some of the swords movement seem confusing to me when it flies around you.
On another note, it's not always easy to read and move around the fallen tiles, it may add up a little too much difficulty to moving around, but that's just my two cents.

Great game overall !

FergusonTV by FergusonTV 2014-12-10T18:24:00

Interesting approach, the actions are a little messy for the player sometimes but I really like that molleindustria-like satirical fashion (even if the global tone and message is kidda ambiguous sometimes). I think this kind of newsgame could be a really interesting project to improve..

Path of Alterity by Sartemis Smart 2014-12-10T11:11:00

@Sanguine @ChrisMingay About the collisions, yeah I messed up pretty hard on the spikes having an extra pixel of collision compared to the wall screwing the wall sliding :(
About the single lost soul, yeah it's unforgiving and not really friendly to the player, we should have changed that !

Nebula by UrbanLogicGames 2014-12-14T19:38:00

There's something really awesome about the slow missiles and their lense effect, while you wait to get the info. Nice game !
