Interesting..
I really didn't understand what was going on until I clicked on the map. Neat concept. It reminds me of plotting out sectors in the BBS game Trade Wars 2002.
I have no idea what is going on.
The sketches lured me. If you continue to develop this, I didn't quite figure out how the number above each portal modulated.
I second the TradeWars comment above, got some flashbacks. :) Nice work, and great art work.
