Pretty neat, classic and solid gameplay. Had fun even tho I must say that the dash-between walls mechanic was a bit confusing until you get it.

Good job with your game! As I said, it is a solid experience.

A nice game with a good level design =), however there were also a lot of colisions bugs.

I love the sound effects. Background music is fitting, too. The controls feel a bit chunky, espacially the wall jump. I have completed super meatboy, but could'nt get the hang of it in this game (referring the walljump). Movement on the moving bars is slowed down for some reason. Overall a fun game!

Good job! I think using C++ is much harder than using GM:S or Unity, and your game is much better than some games made with those so congratullatuions! :D It was pretty fun but maybe the feel of the game could be worked on a bit more. I mean making it pleasant when you kill an enemy and get to the goal and making the screen shake when you die.

Thank you for feedback! Just noticed that if you finish the game nothing happens... The game just hangs for about 20 seconds and then quits!
I will upload a small build with that fixed.

The platform slowdown is in purpose but it's actually a very weird feature, may fix it for a post-jam version :)

Waiting for that Linux build :)

The wall jump is super clunky and enemy knockback was excessive, but neat work anyways.

pestelcrew 2016-12-20 19:27

Not sure how it's related to One Room theme. Nice platformer otherwise

Working on the Linux build!

I got past the first stage, but not very far on the second. It was a bit too evil to have the first wall to wall climb/jump thing be over lava. It would have been better if the player got to be acquainted with the mechanics in several increasingly difficult steps and simpler repetitions before demanding such skills. I don't really know if I understood how it worked because sometimes the fellow was climbing up the wall for a while and if that was intended it would have been really good to understand. Managing to actually jump back and forth or just jump and grab same again or get on-top was really tricky. Tricky in the sense that the controls need to become easier or more intuitive for the player.

The camera transitions for going up felt a bit abrupt too.

Otherwise I can see it being a fun platformer.

Very interesting, I like the way he cling to the wall)

Nice background music, I had some problems with the wall jumping, I think its because it continue to jump when I hold the button. Nice levels overall, and I like the screen transition :)

sokette 2016-12-25 19:53

Funny little game :) The controls are a bit wonky though :P

ellian 2016-12-25 19:55

That really felt like an old Atari/C64 game! The wall jump was a bit unintuitive at first, and then I realized it was amazingly fun and stupid, bouncing off walls non stop ahah.
It felt barely in the theme, but overall it's great to play!

plugrobots 2016-12-25 20:21

Very very funny game)
But the main problem is the lags just after the loading which couse the permanent death after loading 6 level.

geckoo1337 2016-12-25 22:35

Interesting project which could be improved - but I had fun playing it. Neat FX sounds. Well done ++

themonsterfromthedeep 2016-12-30 21:44

Wall jumping was rather hard. Collisions act somewhat strange sometimes.

However, the graphics and music all work very well.
