This is a really interesting entry - it's a totally unique concept and it's quite fun to try all the commands to see what happens. With a little expansion this could be really awesome.

"Plants were eating plants in this cruel world" haha, what pathos!

i like this idea a LOT. the presentation is a bit crowded, it would be cool to see a version of this spread out more, say over a landscape or wider area.

Very calm and relaxing game. Love the music.

Interesting - I wish I were better able to understand the dynamics and relationships between the objects I added. It didn't help that a lot of the time they appeared overlapped with each other and I couldn't see everything...

Super fascinating. I spawned a bunch of rats and they kept planting trees then cutting them down. I couldn't figure out anything to do beyond spawning rats and mushrooms and watching them run around, but the concept is great. I love the art and the music as well.

Wow, a big sandbox of life, this project has a true potential!

interesting game idea :)

alvivar 2012-08-28 11:58

Cool idea. I really would like to play an extended version of this!

marudziik 2012-08-28 13:20

Very good idea. Spawning a few rats and plants made it play on its own, and was quite interesting experience - however, after some time the framerate dropped drastically. The concept is really great and I like the not-so-obvious take on the theme.

I like the idea behind it! Of course it's a bit like Scribblenauts where too many options is overwhelming.

I would show the verb and noun list by default with a button to close it later.

Really nice entry, would have to agree with others though that it felt a bit squashed... It also ran quite slowly for me, though I think that's because my internet connection is pretty poor!

Very nice idea, quite unique. Your game has lots of potential :D

kinokochan 2012-08-29 19:38

Really interesting concept, and a great interpretation of the theme!
I wasn't sure why my fakeshrooms kept dying, or why more and more rats kept spawning without my summoning them, but it was fun to see the little town evolve and grow. :)

Overall, great job!

I love the idea! An interactive and evolving story. Nice job! :)

It lag a lot sadly on my computer but played it for some time anyway.
There are bug where the story says something happened and it didn't. Like a little brown mushroom appeared - or something like that - and there isn't one. I think maybe it's because you didn't made graphics for it. When I typed 'plants' it isn't showed the correct number - as assume it should show how many of them are on the screen.
The placement of the things should be corrected as they tend to be on each other in this small space. Maybe you should tilt the book even.
There should be a button to recall previous commands so you can save on typing.

Anyway I encourage you to continue developing this amazing game! :)

Kinda reminds me of ScribbleNauts on playground mode.
Was as fun as ever though!

triliyn 2012-09-07 22:23

This would have been really nice if the objects didn't overlap so much. As it is, it was still fun to play, but all the actors got stuck and I couldn't tell what was going on.

cakencode 2012-09-09 05:32

Haha, pretty funny game! It was a little strange to have to press Help in order to know any commands in the game, but it went well from there. Neat setup!

qaterknan 2012-09-12 19:39

I got it working somehow and it was nice. But I didnt know what does what.
