LD23 — Tiny World

Bill in BSODia by vigrid 2012-04-23T23:24:00

This game looks great! Very funny intro too. The rockets made the boss easy, but I spent so much time preparing for him anyways. :)

Poiesis by Them Games 2012-04-24T04:15:00

I couldn't find the button on the right to complete a level, but it was a very cool concept. The look of the game is very appealing!

Block Bros by HeuGamer 2012-04-23T23:16:00

The screen went black after I beat a certain level, not sure if it was supposed to do that? Great game though!

Something Movable by YSelf Tool 2012-04-27T20:09:00

The walljump is a bit hard to pull-off, but when you get it down, the game becomes a lot more manageable for people like me who are bad at platformers. Also, if you jump vertically, and then move, it seems easier to predict where you'll land. I think that's because of how the camera moves?

Skully's Microscopic World by Skully 2012-04-24T00:52:00

Hard game if a bacterium sneaks near a wall. The voices were very entertaining!

Home is where the robots are. by greg20man 2012-04-24T03:53:00

Lot of fun, could've used some variety though.

Alice and Bob's tiny cubic planet by kch42 2012-04-23T22:37:00

It was confusing until I realized the upper-half of the body blocks my ability to move. After that it was fun figuring out how the map worked. :)

Tiny Card World by Pisti 2012-04-23T23:47:00

Fun game, the merchants never seemed to sell anything to me, but once I got down the combat it was fun.

This Town (ABEFTTOU) by ThatSnail 2012-04-24T03:47:00

I didn't like how it seems like the computer doesn't need to stop to place harvesters, felt a bit unfair. Something rewarding speeding through the green harvesters though.

Bright Worlds by johnfn 2012-04-24T00:03:00

The window was a bit small so it was hard to see at first, but a lot of fun! It's really cool moving the light around to pass through areas. :)

Scorched Earth by Jungorend 2012-04-24T00:06:00

I'll edit the description, looking back my title screen doesn't say nearly as much as it should.

Virus Wars by Ingon 2012-04-27T18:50:00

Movement didn't work, and holding/pressing space while firing didn't change the color at all...Aside from that, I like the concept of the concept of color affecting which enemies you can hit.

Aegaeon by ToxicFishGames 2012-04-27T18:45:00

Was a little unclear that the UFOS were attacking and I needed to survive. I just saw things growing out of the wall and then died to them. The player health bar was handy, maybe the ship phase should have had one too? It's a little annoying how when you get hit by an asteroid, it spins you out of control, and you're not aware of whether recovering from it is going to be worth it or you'll just suffocate in a few seconds anyways

Globe by gavin5564 2012-04-24T04:28:00

Hitting walls when jumping is a tad frustrating, but I love getting to the snow area with that music, they work well together. :)

UpVote by oldtopman 2012-04-24T00:42:00

The blue arrow doesn't appear to do anything. It seems to just stand there as I move around and win the game.

Zombie Fish by Ethanh59 2012-04-27T19:00:00

It says eat all the fish in the time frame to advance, but if you eat all the fish after the time frame, you can still advance. I find the turning speed horizontally wayy to slow when you compare it to the crazy fast speed vertically. The tank also sometimes seems to get in the way of the camera, which I suppose is for the feeling of a tiny world? Otherwise, nice job! Very colorful fish to prey on. >:D

Anthill by kutuup1989 2012-04-23T22:49:00

Nice idea, liked the music too.

Moonmen: Journey to the Giant World by Daisuke909 2012-04-27T19:11:00

The jumping is a bit difficult; when you're standing next to a wall it won't let you. Otherwise a fun game. During the ending, the smoke coming from the wrecked craft was a nice touch.

Interstellar Planet-Ship Adventures: The Search for... $@#% Aliens!!!!!! by mattchu 2012-04-24T00:30:00

Had trouble selecting people, and reading the font. Other than that, cool game.

Furaingu Ki by RiamuDiMentis 2012-04-23T22:58:00

I love the music! It's very atmospheric.

LD24 — Evolution

Unnatural Selection by gritfish 2012-09-02T02:23:00

Difficult game, but a lot of fun! The time ran out, and all the squirrels were still there, but I lost somehow?

AvRvE by Cake&Code 2012-09-04T02:11:00

Great game! I love how every tile, you know what it does without being explained. Everything is very clear and colorful!

LimiT by Sakuyan 2012-08-30T02:35:00

Wonderful graphics, and wonderful use of the theme. Really quite a gem, I really enjoyed playing it. The mechanics are straightforward but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing in this case.

evolution of monsters by mohammad 2012-09-03T20:38:00

This game is difficult! I can only beat the first level by walking out the void at the beginning of the level and heading to the flag, but the second level is beyond me. Still, the music is incredible for this game! I love it!

Infestation by jwin 2012-09-04T02:33:00

I like this game a lot! It convinces you to go after that which you find most difficult, and then I find that actually just running and gunning may be more profitable. Were it a little easier to dodge the bullets, or maybe know how many enemies are alive, could lead to some interesting strategies. That second part doesn't matter to me, Green is always the most dangerous for me.

_Evolve by Tyler 2012-08-30T03:00:00

I thought the concept was cool, controlling your ecosystem. But I could have used more feedback on if my actions were doing anything. Do the minnows like shallow water? How can I tell? Do they die in deep water? Some kind of feedback on how my animals are doing seemed key to me. In addition my screen resolution is 768 pixels high, and the window was too large to fit and sort of jammed itself under the taskbar.

I liked the worldbuilding aspects, it was really creative, and I thought the graphics were neat.

The Last Slime by AstralCalculus 2012-09-02T02:33:00

I love the look of the game! It's very nice having a full settings menu. (I use colemak keyboard layout)

The Tower with Traps in it by Moops 2012-09-02T01:28:00

This was a fun game! The dungeon level, it was initially a tad difficult to tell what you could walk on, and what would kill you, but I love the line of sight idea!

EvoWord by jovoc 2012-08-30T02:26:00

I like the concept, but I kept running into problems where I wasn't able to make any more dictionary words with my existing word, partially because letters didn't seem to respawn in a timely manner--I waited a while to find another "S" and never saw one.

Fire Frog by Jungorend 2012-08-30T02:24:00

Sorry, I forgot to mention, you're supposed to just hold X to fire. Thanks for the critiques!

Fire Frog by Jungorend 2012-09-04T01:55:00

For Cake&Code: That's not an error, that's just me burnt out and not designing a level screen. Just press space to go to the next level. I am sorry it is so confusing.

Apes vs Dinosaurs: Unnatural Selection by Vilborg 2012-08-30T02:46:00

I can't launch the standalone version for some reason, it's crashing on Windows 7 64 bit with a fault in KERNELBASE.dll. However the installation version worked, though it was a pain to have to install it.

I'm a fan of tower defense games and I thought the basics were all here, and the game was quite playable, after the initial "How do I..." confusion. However, though the animations for the enemies were well done, the towers didn't have any animations besides the blink to show they were working. It would have been really nice when placing the towers, too, to see highlighted tiles that they could affect or reach. Additionally I couldn't figure out which card was which thing for some of the cards.

I think with a little more polish this would be a solid tower defense game with some spunky character!

Omega Architecture by kibertoad 2012-09-03T21:10:00

I love 'Harmonica Robot"! It says something when even the credit screen of a game is entertaining!
