Pow! Pow! Pow! by Cake&Code 2012-04-25T11:00:00
Nice design and graphics :3 About the gameplay, i got killed a lot and I don't get the difference between firing and punching :O Great job anyway :)

Nice design and graphics :3 About the gameplay, i got killed a lot and I don't get the difference between firing and punching :O Great job anyway :)
Thanks every one! I probably will develop this game with proper art and gameplay to overcome all that crappy gameplay and repetitive levels.
The adamantium thing seems to stuck most players. It's not a bug, it's a part of the puzzle.
I don't want to spoil the solution... but the scientist might have something interesting to say about the adamantium issue at the garden :)
Thanks everyone for playing! :D
I know the bug with adamantium :( but I debugged the game a few hours before concluding the compo and.. well, you know :P
You also need to be BIG (Small = no) to have enough strenght for trespassing the purple matter.. and that's not a bug, just part of the puzzle.
Thanks again and sorry for the bugs!
Great randomly generated stages, I like how the game world is created. The game wasn't very fun though..
Nice game concept. Loved the feeling of debris and the fuel shortage. Congratulations :D
Charming. My brains exploded with the tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny world you created :D Nice ending ;)
Best art i've seen so far at LD23
Quite original! Nice level design also.
Great job. With quite simple elements you've made an enjoyable game. Congrats!
I'm glad to see another ImpactJS game around here. I think It's an amazing tool, I felt like I could see trough your code like I've made it myself. Surely you'll feel the same way playing my game :P Good theme aproaching and platform designing!
Great art, great theme using, great gameplay... sure one of my favourites so far. Congrats!
I've seen this game concept over and over again trough this Ludum... But this is the best one without doubts. Good difficulty curve, nice powerups, great music, cute graphics. Good job! I had a good time playing it :)
Nice concept. It would be great to have more variety of levels. I enjoyed the mechanics, but the fly is actually too hard to catch!
Great gameplay, theme approaching, art... tiny game with solid fun. Congrats! :D
Quite simple but entertaining! I could not leave the game without completing it! Good work with the plot, the humor and the feeling of the game. I had a good time, thanks :)
Great concept, man! I loved the gameplay. The levels are sometimes insanely hard, but I had a good time launching my tiny planet :D
Loved the karma mechanic, It will bring an awesome game if you work harder on it for sure. Congrats!
I've killed all the villagers! An then I saved the world! With no walktrough. It was challenging and fun. My favourite LD game until now. Congrats!
Nice! Really fun! You developed a very enjoyable game. Also I loved the music :3
¡Suerte!
I lol'd with the main character design, wrapped in his special clothes LOL. The gameplay was kinda complicated, mostly at the bottom of the crater. Cool idea though. Good luck!
Lovely main character <3 The feel of being a huge metal thing is well reflected at gameplay.
I think it's too difficult to be enjoyable. The -placing blocks in mid air and jumping over them- mechanic it's not enough well implemented to use it comfortably...
Amazing Puzzle with RPG elements. This is the game in wich I spent more time since I've been playing LD games. Congrats. I didn't finished it yet, but I will (sooo hard, like it).
Hey Guys! I barely uploaded and there are comments right now!
On Firefox, the game takes a looooong time to load. On Chrome moves smoother.
It may have a lot of typos since I finished the writing minutes before posting!
@echa Thanks echa :P Even if they were black (that is not), you are a criminal too, you are torturing them! You are not the good guy here!
I also miss the music, I had three beatiful soundtracks for the game, and sound FX for all the actions... but a last minute problem forced me to submit it without sound (ImpactJS crashed with the sound :S).
We are working on a post-compo version with full sound and 20 different targets.
Thank you all!!!! I was fearing that the game has too much text for a LD entry, since there are tons of games to test, play and vote.
I wanted to run away from all the darwin/physical evolution/mutations themes and intented to create something about personal or spiritual evolution.
I'm really glad you like it, I will deliver soon a post-compo version (maybe next week) with all the features missing in this LD version :D
Thank you all!
Sorry for the poor english ^_^u
@rwos: You can download the source from this play page! Anyways, I think it's not very difficult to reproduce from the scratch :P
Since the compo is over, I updated the game with BGM, SFX, 10 new characters and a more balanced difficulty. Hope you like it!

THANK YOU ALL FOR PLAYING!
I liked that laberynthic action! I reached level 7, there is an end or is it just infinite?
Good job!
Nice pixelart there! Great concept and mechanics! Good job :)
Awesome puzzle! I really spent a good time with this! Thank you for creating this awesome game :D
Good job :) I missed some difficulty or dare on the gameplay beyond feeding when hungry and going outside when pooping but... Felt good to play. Cute pixel yellow puppy :)
Interesting concept. It's been hard to get used to the controls, but that's the game's gimmick. I like it!
(btw, my criminals aren't black, they have a black bag on the head!)
I liked it! The music was simple but had some kide of magic. In enjoyed until the end. Maybe a little easy since dodging wan't very difficult. Good job Eugenio!
I played Meteor Night on AGBIC too ;)
Very challenging, I liked the puzzles. Took me a while to discover how to jump :P
Good job!
Insanely hard! I like the concept very much, but I can't get over the 2nd level. Did you beat your game? :o
Great parallelism of man trough videogames history! Nice that X to not die :P
However, controls are a bit painful...
I was looking for your entry since last one, Terminus, really liked me!
This one keeps the feeling of LD23, but isn't as good. I miss some audio too.
However, is a good entry. I enjoyed the concept and loved the narration. Keep the good work!
Wow, You really worked on this. I expected some 'OK, this is akward' or 'split fighters' (wich I loved), but suddenly saw all those stop motion anims and...great, really well done man.
I'm so honoured that the creator of those games I liked so much enjoyed my game >_< Thank you for playing!
Really good theme representation! I survived for 108 days. It's beautiful the fact that you will eventually be surpased one day by another being, no matter how strong you are at the beginning. Good work!
I love this kind of games! I wish I could make one as good as this. I'm not good designing RTS/resources gestioning games. I really liked the audio, humor and mood of this entry.
However, After 20 minutes playing, I asked myself... wtf am I doing? xD Can't figure out the main objective. I built every type of building but nothing evolved. Some hint here would be useful :P
BTW, since you asked, here is the site of my team. http://www.deconstructeam.com/en/ you'll find there our past and future games :P You can also follow us on twitter @Deconstructeam
thanks for the interest!
Whoa! I'll play it again right now! New secret features! :P
MOAR! I really liked the concept and the mechanics! Please make a post-compo version with more levels and pixel types! Congrats :)
Nice Graphics! They are coded? I'll download your source because I really liked those HTML5 light effects.
You can have my source if you like. But its variables and comments are in spanish. It's made with ImpactJS engine. Let me know if you are interested and I'll gladly upload them to you.
Oh, photoshop lights.. I got myself exited since I'm lookink for dynamic lightning in html5. But you really got it right. Grenades are so shiny :P
I found a bug, while in the updrage menu, you can launch grenades!
BTW, I uploaded the source of my game. You won't be able to run it if you don't have ImpactJS, but all the program logic is there.
Wow! we just posted it and had all this feedback! Thanks a lot for playing!
THANK YOU ALL!!! We are overwhelmed with all of this awesome feedback! The team is very happy seeing you all enjoyed our little game so much :D
Sorry for some little bugs that could break the fun, and... SORRY FOR OUR CRAPPY ENGLISH. We did our best, but we wrote all the game content 2 hours before the deadline! we've been in sort of a coma after the 72 hours effort we did to get this game out in just 3 days and didn't have the time to review the typos (some of them are just because our language barriers ^^u)
It's not a bug, and yes, it does affect :) But they don't starve directly. I won't reveal how it does, however, for the sake of future puzzles :D
Thanks everybody for playing and commenting! We are really thrilled about all of this awesome feedback. We began to work on expanding Gods Will Be Watching's universe already! :)
Follow us on twitter at @Deconstructeam for supporting us, pleeease :P We'll spam there our plans as we got them well defined.
THANK YOU ALL!!! :')
Thanks everybody for playing and commenting :) We are overwhelmed with all the success GWBW had on Ludum Dare, on the press and all over the world. We received tons of mails, tweets, messages... Thank you all for your support.
As we said on early comments, and on several interviews, we are already working on a remake. It will be not just a polishment of this minigame but a series of puzzles based on this mechanics and story. As soon as we have defined the sequel we'll spam the internet with our project :)
We've been creating a lot of concept art, about the original characters and new ones coming :)

THANK YOU!!
Really nice art, music and atmosphere!
Woah, I really felt like climbing every ft. Loved the mood and the feeling of choice at some points. Hyper minimalistic, cograts :P
Pole :)
There's an ending after the pong stage, or just goes forever?
Nice idea, and strange concept art, haha :P
I LOVE the sound of the barrel roll haha. I liked this game pretty much, it totally grabs the Pierrec essence that I like so much :) A great approach to the theme too!
I liked this game very much! The story was great, I got really immersed on its mood and plot. I replayed it a few times but I could not get to the good ending (nor being alive)! Great job!!
Also, THANK YOU for your epic text about Sgt Burden diary. You don't know how happy you made us :)
Great humor, made me laught several times, hahaha. Strange concept and mechanics, and that's good :D
I like the pixels, but my ears bleed with that high tunes! >_<
Great minimalism approach! It's a very interesting game mechanic that challenged my brain :P
This is the more Minimalistic game I played so far this LD! Great job, and btw, I killed the dragon! yay! :)
Great job! It's simple and there are lots of enemies, but it's fun!
I miss you kibertoad :)
I can't figure out how to play Church of Minimalism >_< It needs desperately some tutorial or at least a clearer feedback after every action. I could not say what happens each time after I click end turn. Also I don't know for sure what are my objetives short and long term.
Probably you know about all that :P
Wow, I really liked the design of the levels. You managed to create a different game experience on every stage! congrats!
With a few more tricks this could become a very good toy! :D
Great multiplayer action! Minimal capture the flag! It runs pretty smoothly, what's the technology behind this?
A bit difficult for me, but really cool!
Great biopic
Really funny!! Good job :)
Very nice game!! Is there a way to pass the WWWW level? I get stuck in that one and I want to keep playing :D
I like a lot the concept, enjoyed a while destroying things.. but I think it lacks some challenge. I'd love to see this concept developed further. Good work!
Very good art, music, sounds, atmosphere... and really hard! :D
I think this is the best Pixelfan game so far (Besides, Zombie The Game)
Also, I love the details of putting so much effort on the story. Game stories rules.
Wow! Amazing, very funny! I love the music :D
Very good art and weird ending haha Nice work!
Very challenging! Nice idea, although I missed some music and a restart button ;)
Nice! Funny and hard game. I miseed more space to move and some speed upgrade.
Good game! I miss some punishment (during conversations) or more complexity in the decision taking, but the mood and humor were great.
Hahaha very funny! Great job!
Great idea, but I didn't like the execution too much. I think this kind of streategy fighting should do for a great game, but the interface was unclear and I always end up making random actions while spamming WASD over the enemy due to the 10 seconds limit.
A great way to improve the learning curve of the game is to adding actions as you progress, starting maybe with just 3 or 4 basic well-explained moves, since it's not fun to read the 101 images you included (and remember them!).
Keep up the good work! Great ideas and potential here.
Great game! It's funny and it fits the theme ;)
I've built a lot of semen extractors but the planet never runs empty, what's the matter?
Also, MOUNTAINS http://i.imgur.com/TKUMuRm.png
MOAR: http://i.imgur.com/F9OC7D4.png
Thank you for playing! We'll be adding a browser version if able soon.
Oh, I really liked the idea and the feeling/feedback of the game. You actually made the Goose game fun! Congrats!
Really interesting concept! However, I felt lost all the time without any clue of what to do next so basically my experience was just about submitting messages randomly to all the planets.
With a little more feedback and hints this can be a great puzzle!
Keep up the good work!
Nice little game, really well polished.
Ole!
omg this entry is so crazy I love it
Great mood here! I made it to the end, yay!
Nice original idea! However, is you gather the firemen at the same spot the challenge isn't very high. Cool entry anyway!
Great atmosphere and music. Keep on at it and I'm sure you'll come with great games.
Really crazy entry! I only got to 7/30 in 5 attempts. Sometimes the cars aren't predictable or evitable even if you know where they're going and you die unfairly :'(
Good job anyway!
Loved the feeling of the bow action and the music along with it. However, the camera made me feel dizzy in a few seconds of play. With a more polished camera and some good level design this could be a fun game to expand!
I didn't expect the final message at all, I liked it :)
However, liked it most for other reasons! It made me feel and think about different thinks regarding character development. It was weird, but once I started adding traits to one character, I felt driven to keep adding traits to that same character (For me, the girl on the left ended up with most of the lines), I don't know if it was because I was starting to love her, but I had to force myself and share traits with other characters. I think I'm not able to explain myself properly hahaha, but it was a super good experience.
I love what this game made me feel and think. Never stop Pierrec!
I loved the mood and the feeling of this game! It ways a pain to replay the calling the cops part every time I died, but then I saw the game is really short :)
I liked the baby mechanic a lot. In the end, it forced me to become a bad parent and use my child as bait. Totally worth it.
Can't help myself but start seeing a pattern in your games about communication :)
The part about commanding NPCs with your "voice" felt quite innovating! However, I didn't have a lot of fun playing it. My problem I think it was the puzzles seemed too obvious and the challenge came from mere skill, which was quite tough since the collision box for the npcs was too small for me and the characters moved too quick.
Anyway good job! I'm glad to see you keep pushing design and concept boundaries with every game!
Nice idea, but I couldn't figure out how to play :/
Wow, this is one of the few Ludum Dare entries I've played so far that felt truly original. Loved the golf mechanics mixed with a stealing theme, super good take on the theme!
Those are some amazing animations! Great job :D
Cool and funny idea, although the camera was a bit confusing sometimes!
Nice game ! love the art. Maybe some more puzzles would be ok to improve the shoot mechanic
I liked the feeling of the controls and it seems an interesting concept! But I didn't get what the plate launcher is for!
Had a lot of fun!! I love the tide making mechanic to fight. Good job!
That was fun, great work! My best time was about 10 minutes in my second run :D
I loved the feeling of the controls! You should explore this concept further and how to apply it to a bigger game with some good objetives and motivations. I'd pay for it :D
Sorry! I missed the http:// on the url! :P
Pum, me lo he pasao.
The inversed win screen is just brilliant.
Ernesto Sevilla xD
What a pitty it's not finished, I liked the mood a lot! Loved the little creatures, feeding and petting them. I'm intrigued about your plans with this.
Nice entry and great pixel art :)
Wow I had tons of fun! And I loved the "narrative" through the mechanics: how each vampire deprived you of one of your stakes, but also forbid you to use your powers during the boss fights.. but then, their only weakness: one of your blue stakes forever pierced through their hearts. You shaping the walls with blue, they with red... For some strange reason it made me imagine a very epic quest for my avatar to be in.
The level design was super good too. Congratulations!
Thank you all for playing and commenting!
About the bug:
FATAL ERROR in
action number 1
of Draw Event
for object o_db_stock_install:
It triggers if you press action when installing a piece while you are navigating through menus because it tries to install 2 pieces at the same time.
I'll try to fix it as soon as I can, but in the meantime it can be easily avoided waiting for the scrolling transition to end while browsing pieces. Sorry for the trouble!
By the way, did soemone beat the game and see the ending? :)
Good idea! It just needs more feedback to know what's actually happening, how much damage you inflict or when do you win! the art is very nice :)
Cool visuals! I found myself making melodies shifting shapes between obstacles hahaha
Nice entry! Really beautiful and personal. Loved the mood and the narrative.
Quite simple but well executed! Some levels I could solve them without using all my shifts, I'd like it to be a little more demanding in that aspect haha. But it's a game really easy to understand and you can play it with very little explanation, that's a victory on design already. Way to go!
Nice idea, but too fast for me! :)
I really loved the concept of procedurally generated planets filled with Mario levels... but I gotta say the controls pretty much ruined the experience to me :P - The visuals are very cool!
The puzzle design was very interesting, but better controls and game feel would have really helped fledging out a pleasant experience!
Damn this made laugh out loud hahaha lovely experience!
Thanks everybody for playing! Glad you liked it that much!
@tompudding how did you manage to call that number? It was pure chance? It is the only number among 999999999 that I used for debugging. You are a wizard.
@aeveis Wow, what a weird bug. Don't know what it may be causing it, sorry. Only idea I have is that you try to download the game again in case the file was corrupted.
I love adventure games that put me in unsual situations for the genre, and this one was specially good at it. I enjoyed the team effort mechanics a lot haha
Oh shit, you truly are a prodigy, both game and level design are outstanding. So ellegant, so pleasant, so pure. The puzzles are a marvel. And then the ending, the minimalistic park with the tree and your friends, that is simply beautiful. I wans't expecting much from the ending, and It's simply perfect. Congratulations on other fantastic game, Daniel.
I've spent 15 minutes of my life feeding cookies and rocks to Chaplin, Thanks and congrats.
Yaaay, I beat it! It was a nice puzzle game. Found it pretty relaxing, the art and audio really helped in that. Well done!
I liked the idea and the mechanics, plus it's nice to see all that environmental narrative spead along the level, it adds something to the experience. I managed to beat it, but the last trials took me a great deal of effort and timing.
As Oddly Shaped Pixels said, physics feel a little floaty. This idea with a better game feel could work very well!
Congrats!
I got a blast playing it. Couldn't stop clicking just to see what new parody content you prepared for each social platform haha - And call me a lunatic, but I saw a very ellegant form of social criticism here, putting a distant culture through the social network filter shows how simple minded we are.
