Nice Lone Survivor feel. Your music suits well the ambiance.

ferraware 2014-12-09 22:08

Lol, laughed so hard at the ending! Nice little game, although it's a shame you couldn't finish it, you've got yourself some pretty cool working mechanics and art. I can definetly see a long, deep story coming out from this, great job!

knivel 2014-12-09 22:09

Nice mood with the lighting and music. Would like to see where you take this!

korayementality 2014-12-09 22:10

I like how the game ended when you wrote about how you didn't get to finish it up. It felt like the character was you, the developer.
Hopefully you'll do something richer next time :)
Graphics, ambiance, and music felt good together (although the music went off with the kind of heavy riffs)

If you except the lack of animation on character graphically it's really nice : color, light. And the audio feel very well.

It seems that you had the same issue than me too much focus on the look and not enough game.

But i'm pretty curious to see your LD32! ;)

felladrin 2014-12-09 22:14

Cool, this game has potential! Keep it up!

themeorch 2014-12-09 22:22

You've got a really nice look going here. I'd love to see where you take it with animations and puzzles added in, so I hope you'll continue working on it.

One detail that might be good to look at is having the action prompts disappear when they're not usable (e.g. I can't look at the fridge while I'm opening it, so have the "[E] Look" text disappear while the character is opening the fridge).

Got out, good job! Just wish it could have been longer. Good job on supplying your own music, too! Congratulations on your first LD!

amydee 2014-12-10 06:37

Off to a great start! Best of luck next time around :D

redoxkun 2014-12-10 13:43

Quite interesting, would have love to see it finished :)

javadocmd 2014-12-10 20:49

Heh, short and sweet. :) I do really like the atmosphere you accomplished. Next time bigger and better; you can do it!

bobombe 2014-12-10 22:18

I really like the light effect, too bad you didn't had enough time, I didn't too :D

dieblume86 2014-12-10 22:33

Nice music i like the ambiance

cmcoto 2014-12-11 04:13

Nice music and mood!

johnro 2014-12-11 04:15

Great start to a game! I just wish you had had enough time to make it into a full jam game. The music is great, I gottta say.

threstle 2014-12-11 10:27

Great atmosphere! It has a nice Home/Lone Survivor to it.

rnlf 2014-12-13 20:23

Too bad you couldn't finish it. It was so thrilled with the look and sound of the game that I was actually a bit disappointed when it was over so quickly. Good work and good luck on finishing next time!

arzi 2014-12-15 22:49

The concept actually works quite well, too bad you didn't have time to make a proper story (although the lady sleeping in the bed gave some clue to what may have happened ;)). Also, it's not really on one screen as the level is scrolling.

ltyrosine 2014-12-15 22:59

Nice atmosphere! Its a shame that its not ready. Hope you continue on it.

dunin 2014-12-17 19:56

Cool atmosphere. Controls are weird for me (like we just have one hand to play). I'm sure your next try will be really cool!

insality 2014-12-20 15:36

oh, this music, lighting, i so love that ;]
good job, great!

Lucariatias 2014-12-20 16:56

Really nice dark and moody atmosphere, though I wasn't sure where I was going or what I was doing, perhaps because of the lack of planning for more content. I'd like to see you finish this, because it plays quite nicely for what is unfortunately really short but well-polished content.

greytram 2014-12-20 18:40

Nice game! I like the graphics especially and the music brings some atmosphere. It reminds of games like The Last Door.
I hope we'll be able to see the rest of the story one day as I'm asking myself lots of questions: who's the man, what is doing in the dead of the night and so on?
Congratulations on your first jam entry!

hoqjed 2014-12-21 21:28

Even though there isn't a ton of content, you've got an eye for putting together visuals and creating an atmosphere in a short amount of time.

Just keep working at it and you'll keep building off of your previous knowledge. This is very much reminiscent of "Lone Survivor" and a couple of other games that have come out recently with the horror-esq sidescroller approach. Basically, even though this wasn't "finished", I think you showed you'll be able to handle yourself whenever you get more experience.

Also, good job with the dialogue at the end to signify the game wasn't complete. I really liked how that was incorporated in the game itself. It would have been nice to be able to move afterwards though, since I still sort of wanted to look around at what you did. (ended up restarting).

Oh also, the music was fitting for the game up until it brings in the more aggressive guitar parts. It's still very fitting during the early portions though, even though it's an older piece of yours.

See you next Ludum Dare! And keep up the good work! I'd be interested to see what you can do when you balance the amount of visual effort with the game design portion.

t4u 2014-12-21 23:11

High on mood and audio. Above average on graphic. /shame there is no aim of the game. In point and click games its always nice to give a solution(in link) as well.

GreyShock 2014-12-24 11:52

Great atmosphere and music. Keep on at it and I'm sure you'll come with great games.

mekuri 2014-12-25 11:18

It has a nice feel to it, which, since it isn't finished is a bit of an anticlimax. A nice attempt though :-)

pixelspirit 2014-12-29 14:31

Nice first effort! It does have a nice mood to it, more gameplay would have obviously been nice, but it's good to see work all the same.

rodobodolfo 2014-12-30 13:15

Thanks guys for your feedback! I'm really surprised of the score!
