LD28 — You Only Get One

Tropic Warrior by blackmagic 2013-12-23T14:03:00

Fixed angle aiming felt weird and got me in a chess-type mindset whilst the rest of the game felt much more organic.

Really like the earn/lose money on shooting, with some refining as to fire cadence and difficulty (alas less money or a cost for missed shots) could become a really cool game.

Dodgy Ball by Random Seed Games 2013-12-23T00:29:00

Really addictive, reminded me of Foiled.

It's really frustrating to get hit by a really slow ball you thought you'd pickup and sometimes getting hit doesn't spawn an alarming enough visual response, and the counter is really small and it's not feasible to keep score while playing.

There's a bug sometimes that makes you "pick" more than one ball (so they're floating around you) but you only throw one. Making some balls dissappear from the match. It made a game of three be a one ball match.

Some Day by Colorvade 2013-12-22T23:24:00

Took me a couple of attempts to get what was going on in it. And by a couple of attempts I mean I actually played it, closed, and then a friend said it was cool and sort of taught me.

Great graphics and atmosphere setting.

Oh, and some stairs you can climb all the way to the ceiling even though the visuals for them don't.

The Last Draw by tnerb 2013-12-23T15:30:00

Really cool, though I feel bigger levels or something to keep it just slightly less chaotic would make this a great dueling game.

Te y De by Rodaja 2013-12-22T12:14:00

Even if you get the bug where you can't throw the cap, you can get it to work again by pressing up a lot. We're working on an actual solution, but we have to change too much to consider it part of the "fix win condition bugs after the deadline" clause.

You can play an improved (though still has this specific bug) at www.rodaja.es

Te y De by Rodaja 2013-12-22T12:57:00

Oh, that's our fault, I believe, We didn't realize Unity web player used it's own resolutions. I think we'll reupload fixing that later.

Te y De by Rodaja 2013-12-22T16:07:00

wezrule & Joror:

We're right now working on different short levels instead of one big tall single one, but then again, that's all post-jam.

lilinx:

Yeah, we'd make the story up as we'd go. Imagery was actually based off of some russian painting and photos of inuits, so it's a total nonsense in a way.

We put the one player mode for accesibility, though apparently some people are playing the two player mode on their own, so we're not sure what will come off that.

one-sec by rottenmage 2013-12-26T10:41:00

I'd enjoy a bigger version so I don't push my face against the screen. Or that Android version I read you'd made, it's probably the kind of game I'd like to play on my mobile phone. Great work!

One Earth by seantheartist 2013-12-22T23:45:00

Really pretty pictures, but without a well defined response from enemies it's not so much fun. An after compo could be really cool.

Nero Is Falling by LeafThief 2013-12-23T14:21:00

While the art looks great, it should be more clear what is navigable and what isn't, because that is confusing sometimes.

The dialogue is a bit off-putting, as everything is about whether people lie or don't in a rather direct and artificial way.

I did somehow guess the right pod on the first attempt (I later tried other options just to see the difference) but I went for a hunch, and I think the game was thought to be played a bit more, like some people are saying, with pen and paper.

Also, somehow felt they were all lying, as I was the only one actively trying to get out of the ship.

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

SWIM HARD by Spierek 2014-05-04T22:25:00

Really great use of local multiplayer with the randomized controls.

Leagues Above by BumbleBirds 2014-05-04T22:08:00

Really fun game. It does seem easier for the fish, though.

DeepStep by AlbertoSM 2014-05-05T11:54:00

Tener que mover al ritmo al final dificultaba el movimiento más por no poder parar de moverse que de ritmo (era mucho más fácil mantener la tecla pulsada). La música y los gráficos pintan bien.

An Ode to Violence by Benn 2014-05-05T12:06:00

Slow motion when closely failing a kill made me laugh. Gameplay reminded me of LUFTRAUSERS. Keyboard controls would be a nice addition.

The Roots Of Evil by JaviCepa 2014-05-05T11:44:00

Nice game. Loved the idea and execution. Gameplay felt more Game&Watch-ey than GameBoy, thought.

Sharks VS Jets: Fingeance by delfino 2014-05-05T11:34:00

Grat fun! it felt somewhat unfair sometimes, thought. Maybe having a better chance to avoid the mines somehow or getting new sharks to replace lost ones or something. Graphics look good but they get confusing sometimes.

Series Of Choices by joe40001 2014-05-11T12:00:00

This is taking me to a Kongregate error page

denudation by zillix 2014-05-04T22:30:00

I didn't quite get where to go sometimes, but the spending/earning powers was a fun mechanic.

Under Heroes by Just Tom 2014-05-04T22:15:00

click&dragging was somewhat awkward on the laptop's tap thingy, keyboard support would be nice.

the vole beneath by mcapraro 2014-05-04T21:56:00

I didn't get the leaf to be a secondary objective, as getting the walnut itself seemed too easy. I played it a couple of times, once thinking it had changed as I'd pressed space once unnoticed so there was an unwanted ramp. New levels could include some of those so it'd be harder.

Also, having the possibility to repeat an attempt without having to make the ramp all anew would be nice. If only you'd not get the three stars (it does feel like a game that would work with the three stars kind of level system).

Bajo la superficie by Rodaja 2014-04-30T09:15:00

We didn't know Jetpac until you mentioned it, but it looks great and we'll keep that one in mind if we keep working on ours.

The weapon was meant to be a fumigation sprayer thingy, but time took a hold of it's original use.

Bajo la superficie by Rodaja 2014-05-04T21:44:00

Yes, we didn't have time to program an exit to the program, so the ending gets stuck on a loop.

The Deep by Danny Gallagher 2014-05-05T12:00:00

Nice game. Took me a while to figure I had to go down, as the intro showed the character going upwards.

Rise to Surface by jtrencsenyi 2014-05-04T22:18:00

Looks and sound good, but I couldn't really get it to play properly, trying it on a Mac, maybe key names made it not respond correctly.

The Danger Beneath by mihaivdev 2014-05-05T11:39:00

I died once and revived over the water because I'd broken the ice where the checkpoint was.

hellcrossing by martinysa0311 2014-05-05T11:29:00

Really cool game. Used to Super Hexagon it wasn't that hard, but that was just an expectations-reality thing.
At the beginning I was trying to jump the tiny gaps and the jump felt mis measured.

BENEATH the SURFACE by soy_yuma 2014-05-05T11:49:00

Cuando los caminos son muy estrechos se hace demasiado difícil, y volver hasta donde estabas se hace un poco lento. Quizás el giro debería ser más rápido.

Doug by Waynetron 2014-05-05T11:22:00

Really nice visuals. Started playing slowly and found myself stuck sometimes, but then I discovered I could go full speed. A bit of lateral gameplay would improve that fast style. Playing it mixing both speeds seems fine.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

O-Inari Origami by Solifuge 2014-12-16T13:04:00

It eventually felt like a classic adventure game, where you click on everything unitl you find what you had to do by chance. But at the same time it's a fun thing to look behind the papers at each possible fold.

Clever use of the theme.

Visually the patterns do a great job, though I feel only what you've folded should give out shadows, but I might be wrong.

Music or ambience sound would go a long way to make this a very moody game.

Good job overall!

Snowman Sumo by AtkinsSJ 2014-12-27T00:41:00

It is very hard to turn around a combat, because if the other one is bigger of has the upper hand you're already screwed.

The sound effects were lovely, the music really stuck in our heads.

We tried for the sake of it to see how big we could get the snowmen to be, the experience did not let us down.

Good job!

PhotoBound by PIXEL^3 2014-12-16T12:44:00

I can see how the theme gave you the idea for the camera mechanic, and it's a very clever thing to do, though it sort of drifts away from the theme in the end.

The mechanic itself is quite fun, and level design is better than other entries in that it teaches the mechanics quite efficiently. If only it might be too easy.

The music was a bit off, as it didn't loop very well.

It is an overall good entry, very much centered around a clever mechanic, good job!

Atticus VII by Deconstructeam 2014-12-10T09:25:00

JumpBall by Stfan 2014-12-28T17:06:00

The ball gets too much speed from a touch, feels like the kind of thing that is funny while developing but takes away from the possibilities of gameplay as getting skilled is imposible due to the huge chaos that interferes with the ball movement.

Staying in the place to where you jumped and the screenshake make for great feel, but some effects like the trails in the characters take a bit away from it.

It could be a fun game if toned down a bit. Good job!

Space Melee by reverso13 2014-12-28T17:16:00

Controls are way to hard to master as there is a bit of turning happening on its own, and then up and down propell you forwards or backwards instead of in the direction of the head/feet, as would have felt intuitive.

I played this one on my own and still lost against a non-moving adversary, mainly because of the controls, but then again I wasn't able to throw it out despite it's lack of input.

Graphics are nice, though the background sort of stands out from the rest, but the colors are nice. Good job!

Food Panic by wogoat 2014-12-18T15:56:00

Audio wasn't all that great, but it's better than horribly loud music.

Gluten was the least of my problems, there should probably be more of it.

The changing food that will kill you is a great mechanic to keep a static scene changing.

Good job!

Robe Wars by raxter 2014-12-27T17:45:00

It took us almost a whole match to understan where did the ball get it's speed. We thought it was the players momentum.

The design of the armless wizards is funny, but they could use some animation.

It is weird that you use a bar to keep score, but that's nor good nor bad, it's just weird.

Good job!

Raptor Polo by Bensonance 2014-12-27T00:29:00

Sometimes the ball goes slowly downwards and then dissappears sometimes forever, if you've let it go high and not touched it on it's way down.

Also, if you grab the ball and someone right in front of you is pressing the left trigger he'd get the ball before you can hit it.

We've discovered those things after playing for a while, so the game is good enough that it kept us playing quite a while.

Sound and graphics are quite good, blood is oddly pretty.

good job!

Network Programming by hissssssssss 2014-12-09T12:12:00

New art would make this a really great game.

The game mechanics are really innovative and fun.

Sound is great, such a lot of work must have come in recording everything... You must have had a fantastic time making the game.

Very Dungeon by JaviCepa 2014-12-09T12:46:00

Un juego muy chulo. Muchas trampas, muchas muertes... Es muy divertido, tío. Te has lucido.

Hyper Soccer by klianc09 2014-12-28T16:36:00

It is really hard to play because you don't always control the player with the ball, so we usually end up just in a corner seeing the AIs play their own match.

Also the kicks should probably be stronger, so the ball goes further and there's more movement in the field.

Santa's Seasonal Slayfest by GarethIW 2014-12-27T17:57:00

Once one player died, the other played for a while but it became a bit boring for both. A way to revive would've been nice.

The graphic style is pretty cool, though you have to be carefull to keep the brightness of the sprites similar to that of the other elements.

The health bar is way to far up in the screen, and kind of tiny, so it's hard to look at it while you're playing.

It was really funny to see the corpses accumulating and leaving less and less space to move freely, it makes for a nice mechanic.

Good job!

Last Call by Ludipe 2014-12-09T23:33:00

Chance Encounter by allurious 2014-12-10T08:40:00

I didn't really get what to do with the objective, and at the star I tried to click on everything, maybe bit of an effect on hover would solve that.

Despite a lack of animation, graphics are lovely.

The game's really silly, like funny silly. I really liked that some things take health from you, others morale, etcetera. Like those RPGs where there's many stats being hidden from you that you should somehow be aware of.

Doll house: q-Be or not q-Be by Liam :D 2014-12-10T15:07:00

It feels a little cheaty to add zoom and panning to the camera given the theme, but it's just a different interpretation of it.

Working out that pathfinding must have been a complete nightmare. It did get glitchy, but I guess everyone goes through walls at their own houses sometimes.

Aesthetically I recommend you to give an ambient light to almost any game you ever make, makes things nicer.

Also sound effects can even make away with the need for animations, don't neglect them.

Supermarket Bagman by Pixelfan Games 2014-12-09T20:58:00

Las dos primeras pantallas son más difíciles que las siguientes.

Buena velocidad de reaparición para hacer un juego de plataformas de este estilo, aunque alguna pista visual de la muerte no hubiera venido mal.

Lump of Butter by Aske 2014-12-27T19:33:00

Multiplayer was really confusing, and didn't result in a much fun game. Single player did work better.

Aiming is really hard, most of the time you just throw the butter outside of the screen.

Probably a four player mode would work nicely.

Extreme Stick Fighter Ultimate 3i by Doccrazy 2014-12-25T12:30:00

Hi, we've added this game in our list of local multiplayer games here http://ludumdare.com/compo/2014/12/24/the-perfect-games-for-the-holidays/

Check it out and spread the love for these games!

Extreme Stick Fighter Ultimate 3i by Doccrazy 2014-12-27T20:15:00

It is odd to get the other player's health down to zero and have him not die, that was a bit confusing.

The charged punch animation was really satisfying, but the jump was terribly low, so it was rendered useless.

Really smart to have blocking a punch dumb the other guy down for a bit.

Good job!

One Does Not Simply Walk Into More Doors by Wertle 2014-12-10T00:11:00

Sometimes I felt like I couldn't really scape the gift-wrapped crab claw thingy, but it might be just that I'm really bad at running away from stuff.

Lovely characters and music, I just wish the ghost would dance at the start and then I'd never actually get to play.

It's very nice overall, great job!

The Cubenator by Kuupu 2014-12-27T18:21:00

Eventually we were both at the bottom, just shooting one another without much movement, so the fun had gone all away. Building bricks could be bigger, and restrict shooting somehow. Grenades weren't of much use, either.

Sounds are pretty good, and so are the graphics. A bit more of work refining the mechanics could go a long way. Good job!

Mini Minotaur by ljdp 2014-12-09T11:55:00

Great way to create the confusion and feeling of being lost in a labyrinth while allowing to see the whole labyrint on screen.

New graphics and animations would go a long way.

Sliding Dodos by Joski 2014-12-28T21:47:00

We couldn't get four controllers to work at once, so we had to have keyboard and gamepad players. One of the gamepad players couldn't get the character to rotate at will, as the character would only rotate sometimes.

You should definately find a sound designer, as the game could really use some sound, it would definately improve the response to game elements and would sharpen the humor.

Rotation is a bit too slow for the forward movement, and up and down felt like should change your speed but didn't do a thing.

Though it adds to the competition the color icon around the holes look a bit weird.

Graphics are really good, though the characters could use some animations, like leaning to where they're turning, give them a silly walk, or something.

It feels like this would be a really great game if you further developed it. Keep at it, good job!

Kerfuffle by rabbit 2014-12-28T16:24:00

It is weird not knowing the score while playing, moreso when the time is about to finish and the numbers get bigger.

Graphics are nice, the animations really make it come together.

Gameplay-wise we sort of miss a different type of attack, or being able to counter the attack of the other with your own.

Overall it's a pretty good entry, nice job!

Le Voleur by LuisGuimaraes 2014-12-16T12:33:00

It was sometimes too hard to hide away once the guard had the question mark, I couldn't finish the game.

Art is solid despite the lack of animation, it is very consistent and in tune with the mood of the game.

Sound was a little bit repetitive, but that might have been just me being bad at the game.

It's overall a good entry, could become a fun game if worked on a bit more. It's also a cool interpretation of the theme.

Good job!

Lost Path by louis.denizet 2014-12-10T11:44:00

It's a beautiful game. With a good animation it would be one of the most beautiful i've seen in LD31. I had to read the description of game to know that i had to warm in caves to survive, i didnt know there was caves to hide in game. I even tryed to hide under the bushes XD. Finally i found them and could finish.
Nice job.

Platform 31 by Rodaja 2014-12-24T15:10:00

On the topic of this last comment, since it's something so many people said, we intended to put rounds and stuff, but obviously a gamejam is a gamejam.

But you can press spacebar to start a new match, so you don't have to go back to the mouse or anything.

*** If you die, press spacebar for revenge. ***

Voxey Adventure by Pepelumen 2014-12-15T19:46:00

0000 : Press Z by alvarop 2014-12-10T09:05:00

Movement is a bit too fast, you'd need a well design begining of the game to get the players used to it.

The level changing really feels like cheating on the theme, though I've seen it on other entries and, to be honest, it's not that important.

Really good look and rythm on this game, the recoil really added a lot to it.

Victorian Circus by ilokimo 2014-12-16T13:26:00

The animations are a bit too rough, sometimes the giraffe has too heads, and some legs disappear, and the gameplay is weird, I don't think I understood everything that was happening.

Good mood in general with the circus feel, using the credits and game explanation as a way to introduce the circus.

The game is extremely beautiful as still images, congratulations to the artist, amazing job.

Snowman Race by Chris Mondok 2014-12-28T22:14:00

The characters move a bit too slow, and it is sometimes a bit unfair to get in a place you can't get out of.

Connectivity for the multiplayer is wonderful, the reactions are really fast and having sound on each device and vibration go a long way.

Though it adds to the game, when a race is too long it no longer is a game entirely in one screen.

It is fine that players find different objects in the path, but they should be in different places, because it is too common that you are about to pick something but someone else got something that affects you.

nice entry over all, good job!

Last Rooftop Hero by Phoenix849 2014-12-10T11:20:00

If charging a jump didn't stop you from shooting it would increase game possibilities while retaining the one button theme. Also, shooting could have a recoil, moving you from your static position in unwanted ways, that would be a way to force the player to jump sometimes.

Graphics are a bit too static, but they look good.

Rooftop industries is the best name for a company ever.

No More Boxes by Tuism 2014-12-27T18:13:00

Four gamepads plugged, four characters come down, nothing does anything. No one moves whatever we press. Tried the windows version and web version, both the same.

Mind the gap by BobMorate 2014-12-10T12:10:00

¡Buen trabajo!

Demons Trial by guimonpa 2014-12-10T10:08:00

¡Buen trabajo!

Contact Cowboy by jrap 2014-12-27T01:12:00

It completely ruined the game experience once we realized only knife player could pick the bomb, so the other player simply has to wait to see who picks it up and shoot him.

Other than that, it is a very good entry (even more so it being a compo entry).

Very good idea, designing over the bomb problem it could be a great game. The graphics are fantastic and the sounds are scarse but better that than too much noise.

Good job!

TV Top by MintArcade 2014-12-28T21:12:00

Blue player was controlled with the right stick of it's controller, which was odd.

We tried to use our microphone, but it didn't seem to do anything other than add visual noise (pun intended).

Game itself was fine, it's impressive you got an AI working that isn't extremely smart.

Using the mouse to look around feels like only a way to make sure the player knows the game is entirely in a screen as in on top of a TV screen and not in a game screen, which is a bold thing to do. Though I must say I'm confused as to that use of the theme.

Graphics are stunning for a compo entry, great job!

Jamception by Crocanti de Pollo 2014-12-10T09:34:00

Really silly fun game.

I'm better at actually making games than I'm at play making them, though.

The phone vibrated too much, I seemed to end up smashing the keys without order, the coffee mug was always empty and I didn't feel like I'd drunk it... yup, this is a pretty realistic game.

Planet Of The Snowmen by Joshua Stone 2014-12-11T10:36:00

I miss some animations in the characters, and a response on every hit the snowmen get, not just to the one they die.

The terrain destroying thing like worms was cool, bigger bullets would've made that really cool.

despite the lack of animation, it is visually quite cohesive and works nicely with the feel of the game.

good job!

i by VLTRAUIOLET 2014-12-09T12:01:00

The music doesn't seem to fit the game, it's not really zen. The game mechanics really feel like the patience of the zen, though.

Really great graphics. It's a nice style and the animations are lovely.

Kram Keep by Knighty 2014-12-16T23:29:00

I feel the zoom takes it away from the theme a bit, like you did the whole game in a screen but then if it wasn't it'd be better, so you just allow zoom in. You didn't use the theme to your advantage, I mean. It's not a big deal anyway.

Music would have gone a long way, but being a compo entry I understand you might have not had the time.

Visually it's clever, without too much work it manages to look really well.

Overall it's a good entry, fun enough to play. Good job!

Hockey Slash by metalchouchen 2014-12-27T01:21:00

It was a bit confusing how you could get outside of the gamefield, though it could have been used as a game mechanic, like swanping the field sometimes so you have to get out, or something.

It's a neat game idea, if you work it for a while it could be a pretty good game. Good job!

PC WARS by Lafolie 2014-12-09T23:54:00

It starts slow, but then it's a rush (I mean I got rushed, not sure if it's always like that). Will try again tomorrow.

Music is a bit harsh, too fast for the game's own rythm.

It's a bit hard to get to know how do things work, so I only got to know some of the mistakes I made midway through the game. But then again, not necessarily bad design, might be just me.

It's amazing you got to code an AI to play with (and it does seem to know what it's doing, too), good job!

This feels like a game that deserves quite a while to get to know.

Fire Tactics by MechanicMoon 2014-12-18T15:48:00

It is a little confusing that new fires fire up in the middle of the game, but oh well.

It could be better visually, but it does the job. Audio is a bit too repetitive, but it's a jam game, so it's to be expected.

It's a fun idea, it's not often that you see a fire fighting game, and it's fun to play, too.

Box by ShaunJS 2014-12-10T16:04:00

It was weird how sometimes I could "break" some squares and not others.

Fun mechanics, I think with a little more variations in colors people would paint different levels with it.

good job!

Artificial intelligence is way overpowered, we were three playing and we tried to throw it out the first, but it would usually beat all of us.

It also takes a bit too long to play again, finishing a game should allow to just restart instead of re-selecting characters.

Graphics and gameplay are good, further developing could make this a cool game. Nice job!

Cubical Cube by Sutivu 2014-12-09T15:36:00

Its a interesting game with nice soundtrac and it's beautiful and simple. Sometimes back cube stayed behind big white cube and i couldn't see myself, i wished i coulda rotated the camera. Anyway it's a nice game. Congratulations.

Boom Blade Battle Brigade by Riocide 2014-12-27T20:04:00

Collision boxes are sometimes a little confusing, mainly when two players are really close and trying to melle attack one another.

The game crashes constantly, probably an issue of GameMaker running on Windows8.

Gameplay is fun as heck, we played 4 players and it kept us playing over and over despite the program crashing.

We had a blast when we discovered we could use our own bombs to throw ourselves over lava meleeing against the others, it has many strategic possibilities, really nice job!

Enjoy The View! by Frenchie 2014-12-11T10:56:00

I don't see how this game fits the theme, frankly.

Unreal's graphics are great and you did a good use of them, but they make the character's lack of animation and weird collision box be even more noticeable.

anyway, good job for a compo entry!

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-16T23:37:00

It took me a while to figure out exactly how to play this. I think the big square dropping the colored thing should have had a different shape or color from the other thing.

There should some feedback as to wether you're doing fine or not. Like a screenshake if you hit the red things or something like that.

I really like the art, it's simple but finely put together. Fun mechanic, too, when you get it. Good job!

SheeBall by dieblume86 2014-12-10T15:21:00

Sometimes it's confusing what do power-ups/downs do, and the sheeps' sound get a bit repetitive.

Graphics are pretty to look at, and gameplay feels right. Good job

SheeBall by dieblume86 2014-12-25T12:32:00

Hi, we've added SheeBall to our list of local multiplayer ludum dare games here http://ludumdare.com/compo/2014/12/24/the-perfect-games-for-the-holidays/

Please check it out and spread the word!

Swat Team by rainshapes 2014-12-28T16:40:00

Couldn't get the mouse click to do anything, so we couldn't really play this :(

Swat Team by rainshapes 2014-12-28T20:48:00

Okay, tried again. The normal fly-killing tool works fine, the anvil only drops sometimes, so that's weird.

It is sometimes unclear who won the match, it should say it in the message. Also, it should restart with a button not used for the game, many times an endgame would feel like just a frameskip.

The mouse player can somewhat teleport if you move the mouse when the thing goes to attack, which confused the bug player a bit.

Really liked it that it's an assymetrical game and yet it's balanced. Could use some bug count so as to know how far from victory is the bug player.

Good job!

GraviFlip by oh_andrej 2014-12-10T11:45:00

It should be faster to get to retry, like just press space and be back in the real game part.

It was a lot of fun trying to stay not touching ground or ceiling but hitting enemies.

Maybe it could do without the lateral movement and turn into a "change the gravity to help this little guy" instead, but I don't know, maybe that would turn it into a different game altogether.

Nice game, good job!

Cube Shooter 31 by cachila4408 2014-12-27T00:59:00

It was really hard to get the game at the start. But once we got it everything felt really slow.

When you get hit by a shot you are forever doomed to be turning ever so slightly, making everyone press their buttons even harder.

With a little work it could be a great game. Good job!

Where is my sword?! by Kaijuu 2014-12-10T10:29:00

Good game. Pixel art is good on the sword and boss, decent enough on the rest. Gameplay could be better, but the idea is interesting. Keep it up.

Kenny's Adventures by revolter 2014-12-10T15:15:00

The music was maybe a bit too harsh and so was the blood, they both collided with the rather pretty visuals.

Level design should've been better thought out (it takes time, so I understand) so that you can go back and keep playing around in other zones once you got to the end (because I didn't get the gem on the bottom right, for instance).

It was fun picking things with the mouse and moving them around.

Patricia I by theFireman 2014-12-10T15:29:00

I think the limited palette and game&watch inspired aesthetic was a good design idea, though I don't think it works all that great with the pixel art, as it is two different "grids" colliding with each other.

Gameplay was nice, but maybe there should be more than one fish at once.

good job!

SPIN-2 by hypnoticbytes 2014-12-09T15:23:00

It's a good game. Nice colors and music and no colors roud is great.

SIRTET by stray 2014-12-10T10:21:00

Great idea, fun and complex enough. Solid game.

Octorope by OctoTeam 2014-12-16T13:15:00

¡Buen trabajo!

Ragtown by indie4fun 2014-12-09T21:18:00

Buen trabajo en general.

Visualmente los personajes se salen un poco del fondo, que es fantástico y le da al juego mucha personalidad.

Muy buena la idea de representar en los edificios el progreso de la partida.

HYPERPLASM by ciaodavinci 2014-12-28T16:59:00

We shouldn't really say this to anyone, but it feels strange that anyone shot kills you immediately, so you may be navigating throught a dense cloud of shots and then get killed by a rogue slow little pixel.

Also, level design is a little tricky on the upper side of the screen, for two players it becomes a trap quite easily. Moreso knowing where the other player will respawn throught the squares. Though those things probably get less problematic with more players.

Graphics are simple but nice to look at, and the sounds are finely implemented so as to tell you how bullets and yourself are getting slower the more you shoot.

Good job!

Of Carrots And Blood by Trite Games 2014-12-21T20:42:00

If shots couldn't pass throught the big carrot you would be making the player move around.

I'd probably put the camera a bit further and get off with the indicators. Make the heads only appear throught the forest some times, like flickering. That way you'd build a lot of tension and you'd have to move around towards where you think you've seen something coming for your carrot.

Really fun game, the graphics, the screenshake, and the continous clicking made it fun to play.

Lost of possibilities for it, good job!

Dock and Cover by LimeniusTeam 2014-12-09T13:18:00

It took me a while to understand mechanics but it's a nice game. Sound is not bad and , the graphics are cool too and it's soothing if you get lost and so tense if you try to lock the base. So, good job.

The Fourth Wall by DavidErosa 2014-12-09T21:04:00

Lo he jugado tres veces. La primera gané tan fácil que pensaba que no había dificultad. La segunda perdí. Así que jugué una tercera para ver si había perdido facultades.

El final merece la pena.

Hunt The Yeti by Elisée and friends 2014-12-10T11:41:00

Aiming to dig is sometimes randomly hard, and there could be a better feedback of when I'm actually digging or not.

Graphics look like a filtered SNES game, but are really cohesive and nice to look at.

Music is also wonderful, and really gets you in the happy mood the game attempts.

Nice work!

Snowman's Land: SNOVERCHILL by RHY3756547 2014-12-10T08:47:00

I played it alone. I still got a negative score. That was really sad.

Music stratled me at the start, though it probably makes more sense when there's more people playing and there's a bit of a havoc.

It's really impressive you got an online multiplayer going during a jam, that's really cool.

Wall-holo by Eldaryze 2014-12-09T14:07:00

A really funy game. I enjoyed a lot. Congratulations.

CHRONOKICKER 202K by jwkim 2014-12-27T18:05:00

It is really hard to control yourself, mainly in the icy parts and small platforms.

The kick animation is really good, but the sword attack is a bit more stale, keep in mind the action line when animating.

It is a really nice mechanic kicking the other player off a platform. Good job!

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Double Kick Heroes by blackmagic 2015-12-19T14:45:00

Really good art and music. Pity the screen is so very divided and keeps the nicest looking bits outside of the interesting part gameplay-wise.

As for the gameplay, it's very fun to play but feels a bit empty. There's not much in choosing left or right each beat, and there's no punishment for pressing a button out of time, meaning you can just keep pressing left and right all the time.

all in all, good job!

Personal Valley by Backterria 2015-12-15T21:09:00

Good looking, atmospheric game. Controls feel a bit weird, seems to be stretched to play by the theme, but nice puzzle game in general.

Left-leaning by tayl1r 2015-12-15T23:35:00

Wow, great game! Controls are super solid, gameplay is really good, quick and to the point. Graphics do their job more than well, and in general it's a quite enjoyable experience! You should have a stat counter for how many times I pressed the right arrow just before crashing xD

Good job!

Mobsferatu by CremaGames 2015-12-15T17:11:00

This game looks great, great job with those shaders.

The characters and overall tone of the game were a lot of fun, too. It's cool you guys did both themes, and the game feels like it could be a lot bigger, too.

I stumbled into some minor bugs, as you would expect, and as someone else mentioned, I missed the jumping tutorial.

Really like the art style.

Good job!

Slash Quest by Big Green Pillow ft Mgaia 2015-12-16T14:38:00

Wow, great game! It's so pretty! And nice gameplay! I love swinging the sword left and right, feels great, good job! My only concern is that the game is so short... Make 10 or 12 blocks more! Keep it up!

Conga Master by BubsyPoochies 2015-12-15T16:25:00

Aw, man... the world needs more games about conga.

This was so much fun just seeing the little guys doing the conga. There were so many different people with their own moves and all...

I found it somehow just ended after a while, as there wasn't too much feedback when you did wrong (the pigs look so cool I wanted all of them to join my conga).

Great job!

Rogue Bladers: Cradle of disaster by Deconstructeam 2015-12-15T16:16:00

Great controls for just two buttons, really cool and weird way to navigate environments.

The camera moving from room to room was a bit confusing, and some jumps were really hard to make.

The characters were really funny, both through dialog and looks.

Good job!

Button Sniper by BubuIIC 2015-12-16T09:31:00

Last level was too easy, and the gravity thing could have been used a bit more, but it seems you have most things covered in your To Do list, so keep working on it, good job!

trosor by Ditto 2015-12-15T17:32:00

The art style is cool, but I imagine you must have ended really dizzy making this game.

It was fun to try and navigate with just one button jumping back and forth from walls.

At first I started to shoot at the clouds and people were in love, then I realize I could take that love. Then I started to feel somewhat bad about taking people's love and just running away.

Good job!

Rocks, maps, scissors by Split82 2015-12-15T23:48:00

Nice game, seems quite polished for a jam game. A little tutorial explaining how the cards fight and that kind of stuff would have been welcome, but you get the grasp of the game soon enough. Good job!

Harmony Bloom by Bensonance 2015-12-15T17:50:00

It feels like this would be a tiny part of a much bigger story/game.

I felt myself being more guided by the visuals than sounds themself, but I understand you put the visual cues to avoid it being too difficult.

The overall calm tone of the game is well done, though the place felt a bit too big and empty. Some passages could have been made of smaller corridors or have some decorative props of some type.

Good job!

Carrion Forge: Fusion Gunship by Dining Philosopher 2015-12-16T13:40:00

Had a lot of fun growing the ship in such a chaotic way, and it became hard to control the ship when I had engines in different directions.

It became kind of easy to survive, though.

Good job!

Sweet Crops by Lycaon 2015-12-15T23:19:00

Plant graphics could have been a bit more detailed, and gameplay is not precisely intuitive, but the puzzle concept is actually good. Keep working, good job!

Carrot Stories by JaviCepa 2015-12-15T16:06:00

It being bunnies and all I expected a lot more reproduction, but somehow my attempts were always insuficient, as the other bunnies preferred the company of foxes.

Sometimes there was too much text on screen at once, but I guess it being procedural and all you can't quite choose when things happen.

The random games were a great touch, and the game overall was really funny.

Good job!

Heart Murmurs by Ludipe 2015-12-15T16:32:00

Really nice concept for a two player snake game, as it's co-op instead of competitive.

Graphics and sound are good. Nothing astonishing, but they do their part nicely.

Love that you couldn't resist making a game even when you were really busy.

Good job!

Sir Croc vs Plantzilla by Pixelfan Games 2015-12-15T17:20:00

Sir Croc is so pretty! Really like the art style and colors.

As everyone's saying, the jumps are extremely difficult, but I played it in good measure, probably just to keep watching the little hat tip when I jump.

Good job!

Cideogen by Crefossus 2015-12-18T10:34:00

You should work on that camera, most times I couldn't see where I was going, or when I saw an enemy it was too late to avoid the attacks. The sword attack seems to be weird, also, but I can't find exactly where's the problem. You did a good job, keep working on it!

EarthWard by luke 2015-12-19T15:03:00

Lovely game. The Earth having different sprites for it's "health" is great (and not having a little bar for it, too).

Movement could've used some acceleration, allowing for more nuanced control.

Good job!

Growth Industries by SteveSalmond 2015-12-18T09:58:00

Great game! At first I didn't understand what I had to do, but I got it quickly, and then the game becomes so stressful! I lost on day 6, and it totally was my fault for not being able to press the correct buttons when needed. I think there are some combinations that you can't do, but you don't have to correctly feed ALL the clones, so it's not that bad.

Good job, keep it up!

A years growth by BoaHeck_ArtGent 2015-12-16T13:51:00

Slow paced, reflecting game. Playing it feels almost like a chore, which fits the mood nicely, but the narrative falls short, more like a short story for kids. Good effort, all in all, so keep it up!

Growees by NickZangus 2015-12-16T22:59:00

Nice game: relaxing, challenging once the board gets big enough, and with really pretty graphics. Good job!

SpaceEx by Tangible Games 2015-12-18T10:47:00

Cool game! I could't get the hang of the controls, and ended up crashing onto a big asteroid after delivering a couple of packages. I installed OpenAL as suggested, but there was no audio in the game, what happened?

Good job, keep it up!

Spirit Hearts by Yword 2015-12-16T16:40:00

Nice game! Level design seems quite good, congratulations! Keep working on those graphics and make a larger game, please. Good job!

Bicycle Simulator 1984 by Eigen 2015-12-16T14:58:00

Nice retro feel! Reminds me of an actual cycling game I had in the '90s. I like the wallpaper option, but the sound is really lacking. Shame it's only a sprint, but you said you are working in more gameplay elements, so keep it up! Good job!

Longbeard by Joe Williamson 2015-12-19T14:32:00

Beautiful art. Silly idea (in a nice way) and nice implementation for the beard.

The lack of sound effects is a bummer, and the interactions feel a bit light (button seems to press itself behind the character instead of by his standing on it, the coin picking effects isn't great either,...) but when the main complain on a game is "it's too short" you know you didn't do that bad ;)

Good job!

Witchgarden Leafiosa by phi6 2015-12-15T20:44:00

Art style is really nice, it stands out, congrats! The combination of 2D and 3D elements is nicely done, altough being a platform heavy game, the main character could have done with a shadow in order to make jumps a bit less frustrating, right now you just don't see how far you are jumping. Good, moody, relaxing game.

The remainders of the 34 by Rodaja 2015-12-15T14:04:00

We just uploaded a new version with lighter requirements, should run a lot smoother now. Thanks for the comments!

Parse The Sky by dustyroom 2015-12-15T20:23:00

Wonderful, really pretty and relaxing game. As some have already pointed out, up/down controls are normally inverted in flying games, which makes controlling this game a bit frustrating. An option to invert up and down would have been really welcome. Other than that, pretty enjoyable piece.

Super Lefty Garden Fighty by hexagore 2015-12-16T13:58:00

Nice game! Sometimes it's difficult to know how far you can attack the enemies, but other than that, gameplay feels solid, and graphics are really cool! Good job!

Nationbuilder by killthealias 2015-12-20T16:17:00

Nice concept, but as a game lacks any kind of challenge. There's no strategy further than "don't build if it makes you go negative", which only works at the beginning of the game, and then it becomes just click click click. Work on your game balance and you will have something here. Keep it up!

Super Seed Reborn by tpoveda 2015-12-15T22:30:00

Nice looking game, with good game feel, although it doesn't have any real challenge, but it's normal in a jam game. It seems you had a lot of stuff that didn't make it through. Keep working on it!

And the world kept on turning by little-burrito 2015-12-16T13:57:00

Becoming bigger slowed the game too much, making later levels harder by difficulting your movements instead of it just becoming more complex. Other than that, nice game concept.

Good job!

Griffin Card by uheartbeast 2015-12-16T15:38:00

Interesting game mechanic, well explained and well executed. I feel that with some sound effects and some music the game would gain a lot. Good job!

Armageddungeon by Diel Mormac 2015-12-16T14:46:00

Cool game! Nice pixel art, and I like the game idea. It's too hard for me, but overall seems nice. Good job!

BoltStorm by Kuality Games 2015-12-20T16:28:00

Good game, although a bit hard. I didn't like the camera movement, it exposed my back a bit too much, and also the enemies spawning right on my nose seemed a bit unfair. Other than that, nice game, keep it up!

Super Space HexaGUN by pk 2015-12-15T23:10:00

Controlling the battleship feels really slow, but other than that, good game. Keep working on it!

The Winter by sydan 2015-12-16T23:13:00

Nice game. Dashing wasn't very intuitive, and there's not much depth to the combat, but other than that, nicely done game.

Boom Boom Balloon! by DavidErosa 2015-12-15T16:40:00

I didn't understand the goal at first (did not read before playing), The gray area of the bar doesn't look like "good", I think I would have swapped the gray and white zones.

But once I understood it, the game was really fun to play.

Good job!

Dungeon Wheel by BeardyBard 2015-12-15T20:28:00

Cool idea, works well with the restriction of two buttons. Those pixels look nice, too. Gameplay feels a bit slow, and the random element has perhaps too much weight, but in general it's a nice game.

Wargraph by kirilllosev 2015-12-16T09:45:00

Takes a while to learn how to control your plane, but once you get used to it it's not that hard. Good game feel, great action, fast and satisfying. Great job, keep it up!

Blobitronica by crucknuk 2015-12-16T13:45:00

I like the camera zooming away as you grow, though having to hit the obstacles once they're too small for you is kind of weird, maybe make obstacles move around and have them go away once they're too small.

Good job!

Mon Démon et Moi by Spyboy 2015-12-23T16:19:00

The art looks beautiful, though the animations don't do it justice, really.

Gameplay is confusing, and it won't let me get too much in the mood, even though the drawings are really well done.

Good job!

Cave Swing by ajmalr 2015-12-16T10:29:00

Cool little game. The shoot and reel mechanic feels solid, challenging and nicely done, but I feel it would be better if shooting and releasing was done by holding the mouse button instead of clicking once and then clicking again. Also, maybe you could add something to motivate the player to keep going forward and not loose too much time trying to get all the coins, but that's just a matter of taste in game design.

Good job, keep it up!

Island Defence by Epicruins195 2015-12-18T11:27:00

Good game! Seems you have most concerns already on your list. I was having a lot of fun creating a spiral of death until I misclicked and created a mountain blocking the path, and then the pirates started to just jump the mountains and ended my plan. Had a lot of fun, as I said, and wish to see this become a full game. Good job!

Behind the Mask by Raphi 2015-12-18T10:05:00

As some have pointed out, your pixel art would look much better without bilinear sampling. Controls aren't very responsive, especially jumping: half the times, you can't jump when you intend to, and you fall down to a quick death.

Keep working on it, good job!

PWANET PWOTECTOR by cilerba 2015-12-16T09:57:00

Cute, not too hard but not too easy. As some have pointed out, crashes when you reach 50 population. Other than that, good job!

My RoboCaptain! by EternalCastleStudio 2015-12-15T17:01:00

There are lots of enemies and explosions, but the game doesn't have a great feel to it. You should really give this great talk a listen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdEqssNZ-U

The controls were simple enough (though until I saw we were using the mouse to do something I felt like they were weird, being all on the left).

Fun game all in all.

Good job!

Raven's Myth by 3rdChance 2015-12-15T19:46:00

That tree is cool, and the way it grows is a nice touch. Aiming feels a bit wrong, though, and the first attack seems quite dull and the hardest to hit with.

Simple, short, fun. Keep it up!

Saturn Valkyrie Dione by ItchyGames 2015-12-15T16:50:00

This game has a real retro feel to it. Both in the setting and gameplay.

The colors are really pretty, though some elements stand out in a jarring way.

I don't really see any of the two themes in it, though.

Rebuild / Resist by saint11 2015-12-15T20:11:00

Nice little game! Reminds of Kingdom somehow, but having to build all the stuff by yourself makes the game actually more challenging than it appeared for the first couple of levels. Graphics are awesome, which comes as no surprise ;)
