Beautiful graphics, a mystery surrounding the implementation of the theme, and then 1 level ... so sad! : (

Wow ! Amazing experience, certainly the denser game of this Ludum Dare.
The graphics, sounds and music combine perfectly.
A agree with the other comments :
- good concept, especially, in terms of game design, when we speak about curve progression.
- the controls are really bad.
- the music is a little bit repetitive.
This is really not handy but the game is great !
The concept is very original, the mood is perfect thanks to the audio : well done !
Oh a pokemon-like! Arf, in fact everything is played when choosing evolutions... Some audio stuff could be cool too.
However, nice AI and graphics ! Great job.
Great experience: a stop-motion game, what an idea!
I don't understand the complaints about compliance with the theme... the evolution of board games is, for me, clearly presented and fairly well led by the dialogues.
In 2 words : great job !
Interesting version of the famous Conway's Game of Life. I see the difficulty of making such a game not too complicated. But for once, it's just too easy with all the items available, just spam the map to win. The best would be to limit the placement of items and to have an AI that puts items. Anyway, it's not a bad job for a 48h game.
I had the same idea, so great concept ! ^^
The game is a success, the ability to match your ship as you want is just awesome. One regret: the lack of differentiation between allies and enemies shots... it makes confusion when the ship is full of upgrades. Oh, and another drawback : no audio. :(
Excellent game, very time consuming!
Unique complaint : we should not be able to go out of the screen.
wow, beautiful : very artistic game. The interpretation of the theme is really original. The gameplay is just a little bit repetitive.
Great game and atypical interpretation of the theme.
Movements are a real nuisance for the player but well aware of the effect of water on the hydrosphere.
Good graphics and amazing music ! I'm waiting the post-mortem on lesforges.org ! ;)
I had some internet problems and hosting issues. So the game you played wasn't the last version... Sorry for that, i hope you'll take the time to try it again. ;)
Yes, this version was made during the 48h : i just had uploading issues.
Indeed, it lacks a lot of content : writing was more difficult than I thought, I hadn't enough time in just 2 days...
@MurrayL & Pierrec: a special sound is played when trying to click a button that doesn't work. Much of the game is, I think, in testing combinations.
Same, cool graphics but the game is definitely not challenging and too repetitive.
Also the music volume is pretty low and even if it's a short loop, I really appreciate the effort: Always better than no sound at all.
@cutandreil: It looks like there is nothing i can do if too many people try to load the game in a short amount of time. But if you don't want to wait, just download the sources and open the index.html file in your browser.
@pandamicro: We used 2 arrays. One as a standard tilemap and another one to specify the patterns fo the blocks. The pattern is described as a string. 'g' means 'gauche' (french for left), 'h' means 'haut' (french for up), 'd' means 'droite' (french for right), 'b' means 'bas' (french for down) and '-' means the block stay in position. So for example 'ddbbgghh' makes a square loop pattern. Don't hesitate to take a look at the source code. ;)
