Really something different, could not tell what to do half (get it?) of the times, it might me getting older but I could not keep up with all the splitting and different events, really innovative though and it confirms well to the theme!

turnip 2012-08-27 14:46

Wow this game is just completely insane! I don't think I really 'got it' but the concept was really cool. Been using Unity for a few years now and I have no idea how you did that!

With a bit more time and thought put into giving the game some objectives this could be great.

cappelnord 2012-08-27 16:00

This is actually pretty mind-twisting. The concept is killer but it lacks presentation.

toby 2012-08-27 16:02

I was hitting SPACE too often - my browser crashed :0

kralle 2012-08-27 16:05

Completely insane haha, im not even sure i understand how to play it

shind 2012-08-27 16:31

The concept is nice and weird, my brain hurts.

Spotline 2012-08-27 16:34

Haha c'est vraiment excellent, ça manque un peu de clarté mais le concept et la réalisation sont énormes =)

camdensegal 2012-08-27 20:34

Whoa what just happened.

moeew 2012-08-27 20:39

This game deserves more graphic and sound attention :D Pretty insane, indeed.

madameberry 2012-08-27 21:01

Well. That was. That was something. It was pretty insane...

berkano 2012-08-27 21:07

Just awesome. Strange, but awesome :-)

sfernald 2012-08-28 00:00

Seems to be a game about making choices. Some questions are asked and then it looks like a mini game comes on. I've played the platform mini-game and the laser zap mini game. Not sure what to do. I'm not sure I understand the screen splitting/mutating stuff.

johnfn 2012-08-28 00:21

There's a great idea in here, but the execution needs work! You should be able to select individual screens to send keystrokes to, rather than the whole thing, because otherwise there are points where you're going to die no matter what. Also, on the first game I mashed the 'split screen' button and the amount of processing power required nearly crashed my computer. Probably my own fault, I admit ;-)

Keep it up.

vigrid 2012-08-28 00:21

Very original idea. You should definitely explore this concept and split mechanic further!

andygo 2012-08-28 18:57

Psychopathe !

kevincorrigan 2012-08-28 23:33

Interesting Idea.

devoreuk 2012-08-28 23:46

Loved the split screen mechanic really cool. Please keep working on this and keep us posted!

m-gryko85 2012-08-30 12:21

Mind blowing idea.

krides 2012-08-30 17:26

At first I was like "holy shit" and then everything crashed :D Nifty!

ilod 2012-09-01 00:02

Thanks for the comments. I've added a post-compo version, which should be way more clear, and less buggy. It was quite hard to do it in 48 hours, so here is the version my crazy mind wanted to create.

recursor 2012-09-01 00:37

I wasn't sure what to do, but I hit space so much that my browser crashed.

danilo-bezerra 2012-09-01 00:51

This is INSANE!! I like this concept very much, it's something original and I would like to see some other games on this same concept, despite it crashed my computer...

shmarah 2012-09-01 16:12

A fantastic concept; I'd love to see a more developed realization.

eldaryze 2012-09-01 16:53

Dammit, Unity bugged cause I split too much. :3
Nice job for the game, he deserves better graphics...

datw 2012-09-01 17:13

Mind = BLOWN.

bobbobowitz 2012-09-01 17:43

Wow, this is great! I love the concept, although the game was really hard. I feel that it moved just a tad too slow though.

murrayl 2012-09-01 19:55

My brain hurts so good!

gaeel 2012-09-01 19:59

WTF IS GOING ON!!!

You have a very weird game here. I'm confused, I figured it out, but WOW that's hard to play

phren 2012-09-01 20:03

The idea you had for this game is actually quite interesting and fun. It works at times, but on the other hand sometimes you just feel lost. I couldn't understand what the hell the text was in the game with the blue dude. :D Perhaps each minigame would've needed a bit more polish and clarity, and maybe a border around each screen to make the screen more segmented.

90sml 2012-09-01 20:17

I came here for the title of the game (i'm french ^^) and i found an interesting game, though hardly playable. Effectivement c'est moche, ya pas de doute mais c'est vraiment original, ça c'est clair.

yosh 2012-09-03 00:16

French spotted? Anyway, it's a very interesting concept but still a little bit confusing. (Et terriblement moche mais on s'en fiche ahah :D).

someguy22 2012-09-05 22:31

What in the world did I just play? XD Good job!

bmacintosh 2012-09-07 00:36

Super trippy idea. Well done! I love it (but I suspect not for playing it...playing it properly is almost impossible!).

chaoseed 2012-09-14 15:55

This is really hard to figure out. Eventually I got the "point" of most of the minigames...I THINK. Still really unsure about them. (Especially the sword and shield one.) Some of them you immediately, but then most of them you have to keep playing until you get to the next one? One thing that would really help is if there was some sort of progress meter for each level, showing whether you were actually making progress. Otherwise you have no idea if you're doing it right.

The other thing is that apparently there's some sort of split screen feature but I had no idea how or when to use it. It's all so unclear.

benjamin-soule 2012-09-14 16:45

Good idea but the execution is a bit crude. It really need a max value for the instances numbers. Your atomic-path engine would work better on non-arcade game : The mechanic was easy to understand with the girl talk, but with the running man I had no idea what was the meaning of splitting scren, ending up with 16x identical situations

ilod 2012-09-14 17:10

@BigMacintosh : Yeah, I have a concept, now I need a game.
@Chaoseed : Progress tracking could be useful, but it takes many place when you split screen (which is with the space key, creating 2 screens for each existing one, one behaving as if you pressed the up arrow key, plus a bonus, the other with the down arrow). Finishing a game is almost instant at first, and takes longer with each level.
@Benjamin: I guess you're right with the arcade game thing: the runner and fighting game are typically the wrong kind of mini-games here. I should have favorized games which procure more distinct situations after each key pressing.
As for limiting the number of instances, it's really depending of the resolution of the screen and power of the computer, so I gave up on that.

goerp 2012-09-15 10:32

What what what? This was weird! And great! Not always imediately obvious, but fun nonetheless. So very original. Will check out the post compo version, after the compo.

csanyk 2012-09-17 02:56

Wow, if this doesn't win Innovation, I'd like to see the game that does. I've NEVER played anything like this, and what's so surprising about it is how well it works. The graphics and gameplay of the individual sub-games is crude, but with mutations it becomes necessary to have simple games, and paying attention well enough to all of them to avoid dying is a real challenge. Probably the strangest game I've played in a long time.

thewiseguy99 2012-09-17 22:22

different is the word. overall nice job.
