Really cool idea, with some polish (more body segment types easier attachment and maybe slow down action a bit) it could be great.
Really cute graphics I love all the skulls, and even the preach/admonish sound effect. I could see adding some more enemies and a larger map or a non-time-based goal adding to the fun.
The difficulty seemed to ramp down as time went on at least until my speed got to the point I couldn't steer easily to food.
Good idea, instead of the looming unavoidable menace, what if the predators were swimming around to, but only saw you when you stood out, so when the color changes it is more of a mad dash to match.
Also having more than 4 background colors would be cool and making it so you just have to be close to the background color to be hidden.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Seems like we have a consensus on speeding up gameplay a bit, makes sense I wasn't sure if the added suspense was worth it or not, I'll play around till it feels right.
I'm going to try to keep working on this guy to make it more complete (though of course my LD submission stands as is), adding sound, improving menus to include instructions, making more levels and more types of objects for more variety to the puzzles.
Thanks you all for playing!
Nice idea!
Very cool, love the discovery forced by the sonar mechanic, would be cool to explore more complex environments using a similar system. I found it a little tedious scanning each fish, making the fish faster to scan but having a more complicated environment could keep the challenge but reduce the frustration of waiting so long for each fish to scan.
Maybe you have to scan some fish that could also eat/damage you?
I managed to complete the first level but I cant figure out how to get past the "Every Evolution has a beginning" screen
Nice! Would be cool to add a few more traits that are controlled by genetics, and to have a better way of controlling the populations, I tried to kill poisonous species to encourage more yummy species but always ended up running into the poison they dropped after killing them, maybe a ranged attack or just a way to avoid moving forward right after attacking.
Nice idea and I love a good pun. The network interface minigame ran way to fast for me to do much though.
Cool little game I wish there were checkpoints or something like that as it is a large game and I was able to get a long way but then was caught and sent back to the very start.
Thanks for the reviews guys, I just fixed the context menu issue so it should be a bit easier to control now!
Really cool, especially loved the earth model (and the moon's shadow passing over it)
Any game that includes a song written and sung for me get's my approval
Interesting idea for the graphics, though in the end I found it to be confusing and disorienting, especially when trying to navigate the jump puzzle.
Very interesting idea! Couldn't quite get a handle on how to interpret the critter's directions to make it through but just random wandering and fidel got me through
Very nice world switching idea, I couldn't figure out what to do after getting the robot's to clean each-other.
I tried to play this but wasn't able to on OS X, when I tried to run in in console after opening it normally didn't work I got this message:

Always love a space game, though on all the planets I could sell higher than I bought negating the need to leave a planet at all make money, instead infinite money could be had just buy buying and selling the same materials over and over.
This is a great idea, and there are so many levels! Nice job!
